[ She beamed. Nemuri had never been one for insecurity, and she'd easily put two and two together. If Principal Nezu, with his super intelligence, scouted her for the job - he must've had faith in her abilities. ]

[Quick, think of something else to say to distract from the fact that you hit on your Hero Art History teacher!]

How long as you going to be a kid for, do you know?

The police said the Quirk's effects will probably wear off by tomorrow.

Principal Nezu said I can sleep here on campus too. Can't believe there are dorms now! I heard I actually have my own place, but Aizawa said it'll be better if I stick around where people can keep an eye on me, you know? And I don't wanna worry my parents, because I bet they'll freak out if they suddenly see me like this.

[ It was weird, because her instinct was to go home after class, just like every other normal kid - eat dinner with her mom and dad, watch some TV, do her homework. But yeah, she couldn't tell her parents about this. She didn't want to worry them. ]

Oh yeah! [Well, as part of the class that is the reason for the dorms, Kaminari feels a little bad that people can't always go home when they want to- but in this case, that's probably a plus?]

That must be so weird... someone knocks on your door and it's your kid but fifteen years younger than they're supposed to be. So they don't even know?

[ Nemuri shook her head. ]

My plan was always to move out after I graduated. Don't want to have to come home beat up and have them worry about me all the time.

Well, yeah.... but I mean, they don't even know you got turned back into a kid now?

[It's just hard for Kaminari to imagine, still being a teenager and having his parents called whenever something happens to him at school.]

[ She once again shook her head. ] I didn't tell them. I'm a big girl now.

[ Nemuri flashed Kaminari a grin, but it was one to comfort herself as much as him. That was the life they chose, right? ]

So where are you headed?

[Her smile was really pretty, but Kaminari had the feeling it was a little bit sad, too. Though not only did she change the subject, but Kaminari's stomach growled and reminded him of what he was supposed to be up to.]

Oh, over to Lunch Rush to eat! [Kaminari says, tilting his head.] Do you want to join me? You can meet my classmates, too!

Sure, that'll be fun!

[ Nemuri was still a growing girl (or so she would be at that moment), and lunch sounded good. ]

What's your favorite food?

Hmm.. burgers! [Kaminari said with a grin, barely having to think about the question.] I think American food is really good. What about you?

[As they talk, he starts leading her towards the cafeteria, in case she doesn't know the way.]

Curry. It's really hearty and comforting.

[ And if done right could really boost one's morale.

Nemuri fell into step beside him comfortably before she realized - ]

Oh. I haven't asked your name yet. [ She flashed him a sheepish smile. ] It's just that you feel familiar, you know? It's like I'm talking to a classmate.

Oh, that's good too. Especially when it's cold out!

[When she points out that she doesn't know his name, Kaminari gets a little sheepish, too.]

Right, sorry. I'm Kaminari Denki, aka future pro hero Chargebolt! [He said with a proud smile.] And maybe the reason I'm familiar is that I'm secretly your favorite student?

[It's a long shot for sure, but worth joking about.]

Chargebolt? You got an electric-based or a speed-based Quirk?

[ She flashed him a thumbs up. ]

Hey, you're a really nice guy. Really helpful and friendly to a stranger. So I'm pretty sure you'd be one of my favorites.

You mean my name doesn't give it away? [He asks with a little giggle; after all, 'Kaminari Denki' is quite literally 'Lightning Electricity,' and that doesn't leave much room for speculation.] My quirk is electrification. See?

[He lets electricity gather between his hands, the bright yellow sparks zapping back and forth, just to show off.]

[ Nemuri grinned. ] You know how they say that your name shapes your future? Well, guess our parents have some sort of Quirk to make sure their kids get the Quirk they're named after.

[ After all, she was named... "sleep". And her last name was "fragrant mountains". She inadvertently looked down at her chest. ]

You're a flashy one, huh? [ She laughed. ] Do you still get zapped by static electricity? Or is that just not a thing for you?

[He giggles again.] To be fair, everyone in my family has some kind of electricity quirk, so I think it was pretty safe. Mine's a lot stronger though, which is why I'm at U.A.

[Although, Midnight is pretty quick to call him out on his limitations. Kaminari shakes his head somewhat sheepishly.] Not little things, but if there's a big storm building up then I can usually feel the charge in the air? Mostly I'm the biggest threat to myself, though...

That's awesome. I bet you're really strong.

Hey, that's pretty handy. I mean, if you can feel it, then you can get ready if you need to for rescue missions. [ If he could control who he fried with his electricity, then he'd be a really valuable team member in thunderstorms. ]

Threat to yourself? Why's that?

[He's definitely preening a little when Midnight praises him. Kaminari is really easy to please. It gets even better when she talks about the great potential his quirk has.]

Gee, you really are meant to be a teacher, huh? You're good at thinking about other people's quirks and stuff. Um, but... my quirk has a long way to go. If I use too much at once, it sort of leaves me in a stupid state. Like, I basically fry my own brain... Do you struggle with anything like that with your quirk? I know it works best on guys, but have you ever put yourself to sleep, or something?

I guess I'm just... creative. [ The way she said it was rather suggestive, and she laughed afterward.

She gave him a sympathetic look when he revealed his Quirk's limitations. ]

That sounds painful.

I'm immune to my own Quirk, but I guess for me it's all about controlling how much I use it, because too much can put a person in a coma.

It is pretty painful... [Kaminari admits, and then pauses.] Ah, I kinda hope you don't remember me saying that when you're my teacher again. It's not that big of a deal. I'm working on getting better so my limit's higher and it doesn't happen as much anymore.

But I guess... in a way, it's kind of better if it happens to me than if I do it to someone else, right? Like my allies?

[He can't imagine how bad it would be if he put one of his classmates in a coma or something, but with a quirk like his that's totally possible. Not for the first time, Kaminari's really grateful for the additions to his costume that help him direct his quirk.]

Putting someone in a coma must've been kinda scary, huh?

[ She gave him another look of sympathy. As a fellow student, she understood that sometimes they had to push themselves to the point of pain - otherwise how would they grow? ]

As long as you're doing it properly, I guess. 'Cause I imagine you could go too far, and that'd be pretty scary.

Thankfully I've never let it happen because I know how far to dial up my Quirk, but I've had to look into it a little for medical purposes. I mean, it's not often that you're going to need to anesthetize someone for impromptu surgery, but it's something that's good to know.

I'm doing my best! [Kaminari promises readily, hoping to assure her. Somehow, with that sympathetic face, she looks so much like her adult self that Kaminari can't believe he couldn't tell it was her from the start.

Lunch Rush's cafeteria comes into sight, and Kaminari puffs up a bit. He's really hungry now, and kind of excited to introduce young Midnight-sensei to his classmates.

But then she says something wild that catches him off guard.]

Impromptu surgery??

[ Seeing Kaminari's expression of shock, Nemuri had to laugh. Ah, yes, he was still a bitty first year, after all! ]

Oh, don't worry about it. Not everyone goes on medical missions. I've just participated in them because of my Quirk. Kinda like how people with water-based Quirks go specifically on naval missions.

[ She breathed in deep. Ah, that food smelled good, even from where they were. ]

That smells better than the cafeteria food we have!

Oh, okay. [Kaminari nods, considering this thought.] I think I remember you mentioning stuff like this at the beginning of the year. About how we should find out what kind of missions our quirks are best suited for and stuff! Uh, adult teacher you, I mean...

Oh! I guess you guys didn't have Lunch Rush when you were here. [Kaminari realizes.] His food is the best, he can cook all kinds of stuff. I guess it probably has to do with his quirk, though I don't really know what his quirk is, exactly...

Oh, I did? [ She was impressed with herself. ] Not bad, me.

Lunch Rush? A cooking Pro Hero? [ Nemuri clapped her hands together. ] If I had that kind of Quirk, I'm sure I could get me a husband right away!
