[ he's a little startled by the demon's words, but then again rum has always had a knack for saying so much in so few words. where gin spent too long running around and fumbling his meaning, rum's talent lies in his bluntness... he envies him for it, near constantly. ]

[ gin sobers up almost instantly, his expression folding into one of serious concern. the hand he'd been using to tug on rum's sleeve loosens, but only for a moment as he readjusts his grip to slip down and hold the other's hand instead. ]

[ Rum stops as Ginger readjusts his grip, not wanting to actually shake him off. It's hard to have this conversation when he knows, when it's like everyone in the company knows besides Ginger himself. ]
