So um, what canon point do you want Anakin to show up, trilogy period, post Endor pre taking back Coruscant, post taking back Coruscant...?

I usually roll with Hobbie in the around liberation of Coruscant timeframe mostly because I'm more familiar with the X-wing novels than the comics. Maybe while he's in charge of the faux-Rogues on Coruscant and Wedge is off blowing up things on Thyferra? :)

Yes, that would work well for pulling Anakin from making the hyperspace jump back to Coruscant to rescue Palpatine from Grevious.

Rebellion demolished, Wedge goes to work for Booster?]

[ Smuggling was as Corellian as Whyren's Reserve. The rebellion didn't have a shortage of either smugglers or Corellians, but General Han Solo was too high profile to send into this mission.

Nor did he have a personal contact with Booster Terrik, the only smuggler with an impstar deuce as his flagship.

Making the Errant Venture their base of operation might seem grandiose. But so many seedy deals came and went through Booster's shadowport that it was the perfect trap to catch the smugglers harassing New Republic's shipments. Smugglers made their fortunes in the hundreds of strange bazaars inside the Venture, then went to lose them at the casino.

Cracken sent Wedge and Hobbie to this wretched hive of scum and villainy, fully expecting them to turn it into a mini-vacation. Which it sort of was, for Wedge. After the heartfelt reunion with family he hadn't seen in years, Wedge (and Hobbie) set to work. ] So, let's run this again—I'm a smuggler, you're my mechanic, Derek. [ Despite his impassive expression, Wedge can't hide his amusement at Hobbie's codename: hardly anyone in the New Republic even knows what's Hobbie's actual name. Not even the rosters list him as 'Derek Klivian'. ] We're smalltime and just lost our freighter to gambling. But we have some info on the Republic's shipment movements which are worth a lot of credits.

[Wellllll... that Wedge above me is a RP partner of mine and she and I have been trying to collect various Rogues for a while. We also have a Biggs, Wes, and Tycho, and we have a number of PSLs happening as well as games that we both play at.

[Sorry, my weekend exploded on me. YES that sounds amazing. I'm wondering what would prompt such a thing though. Luke isn't likely to be very secretive about it, especially not to the other pilots. Maybe shortly after Yavin, regarding the fact that he didn't use his targeting computer? Or did you have something else in mind?]

[OHHHHHHHHHHH that makes more sense especially wrt the comment about crashes LOL. So we could do something later in canon then, maybe when Luke is recruiting students, or slightly before that even. Hobbie could be one of the first people Luke offers to teach.

Though he'd have to explain to Hobbie that he might have some trouble because of all his missing limbs resulting in slightly weakened abilities, lol.]
