It's like a heatwave burning in my heart
holy crap it wasn't that hot out last week. Now suddenly the mercury's skyrocketing and you have to find some way to beat the heat

001 PLAYGROUND - man that asphault is a killer. Better try and find some cover quick
002 AT HOME - Ac's broken. it's too hot. And opening a window seems to have no effect.

 No matter how much they care for the other person and want to be with them, some people simply can't dive head first into relationships. Little things that form intimacy and romance, little acts we take for granted - being close, holding hands, kissing, showing affection in public - they won't or can't do...at least not right off the bat. Something in their past, their experiences, their trauma, or even their personality holds them back. For both them and the person they're "dating," as it were, this can lead to a frustrating experience. Still, steps can be taken towards letting the walls fall down. Little, tiny steps, but those can mean the world all the same. The People One With the help of a partner, one person warms up. Two Both sides of this couple are learning how to be in a relationship and to be open. The Actions Talking → A relationship can't exist if there's not some communication, so either learn to use your words or become so close you can speak without them. Spending Time → Even such mundane occurrences as watching TV or cooking together is new ground. Touching → You might just find you enjoy reaching out and touching them. Kissing → Another kind of touch, when you think about it. Cuddling → ...at least they're warm and, hopefully, soft. Sleeping → You're at your absolute weakest when you're asleep. It shows trust to doze off around this person. Public Display → It's one thing to be in love in private, but showing you care in public is a different story. Kind Words → Three little words (more or less) are all it takes. Why, then, are they so hard to get out? Sex The ultimate stumbling block to some. To be laid blissfully bare is to truly let your guard down. |

Unrequited Love Meme
Love. Love is a many splendored thing. All you need is love! Except when it hurts because the person you adore doesn't have the same feelings towards you. Then it's a curse.
This meme is very simple, with only a few prompts on its own. But don't let that stop you from letting your imagination run wild, especially if you have a penchant for the tragic. Maybe it's not all bad, though. There could be a silver lining...
HOW TO PLAY
- Comment with your character and your preferences. Also, be sure to mention if you want you character to be the lover or the loved (or either), for lack of more refined labels.
- Tag around to others.
- Either use the RNG or come up with your own scene.
Prompts
- Unnoticed: Your beloved doesn't notice you or doesn't know your feelings.
- Just Be Friends: They don't think of you in that way.
- Confession: You finally work up the courage to tell them, even if they don't love you back.
- There's Someone Else: Your beloved is with another person, perhaps a person they love.
- Can't Take It: You can no longer stay by their side because it's killing you.
- Forbidden: It's not just unrequited, it's actually not allowed!
- UST: Unresolved Sexual Tension! Neither of you realizes how you feel or why, and it's causing friction.
- Returned: You thought it was a one-sided love, but turns out they do love you back!

The Night Market
Even as the sky gets dark, there's still a lot of lights and life all over this busy street full of people. Vendors and customers from all over come to share and appreciate their creations, taking in this lively atmosphere. Eat, drink, be merry - but watch out for pickpockets and price gouging.
