Arranged Marriage Turned More


To have and to hold, you said, till death do us part, all while the sharp, swinging pendulum of obligation hung overhead. But how could you have truly meant those words? This union has been tainted from the start, forever bearing the chains of an arranged marriage. It would be understandable if you couldn't bear to look at your new life partner, eternal reminder of your stolen future that they are, much less like them.
Much less love them...

Still, things can change.

You could realize that they are in the same boat as you or, that when compared to others around you,
they are the lesser of evils. Perhaps you even open up to the idea of a friendship; at the very least,
an alliance may be in order to become a power couple in a perilous world. From that innocent decision or sense of self-preservation, a new feelings sparks. Something like affection.

Something, you realize in the wake of speeding heartbeats, like love.

Will you acknowledge this? Can the two of you have a happily ever after - happier than if you'd met in another fashion - or will you hold firm in your distaste?

how to play.
- Everybody loves "couples forged by less-than-ideal circumstances" tropes!
- Comment with your character, prefs, all that good stuff.
- Reply to others.
- IDEC where you set your threads, it's wide open. Fantasy world with hairy hobbits, old-timey lands, future AUs, do a space marriage for all I care. I'm sure they're still getting married in Star Wars or whatever.

A SMUT MEME
Hot springs are considered rejuvenating in many cultures, from Asia to Europe. All that natural heat and the minerals from the earth flow through water and call throngs of people to come and enjoy the resorts that pop up around these wonders of the world. You, however, would never go to one. You're insecure about baring it all in public; maybe you don't even go out in public because your appearance would make the uncaring crowd lash out at you. Maybe it's just not your scene. You could not know anything about hot springs!

But you're at one now, no matter what, and you're going to be taking a skinny dip - or near it - whether you like it or not. To make matters worse, you're sharing your little pool with someone else. Hey, you don't know them! This place could not even be in your world or your time.

There's little options otherwise, though, so you might as well enjoy the time you're here. Soak and relax, let those tired muscles get a break. Soon, all your troubles, your worries, your ailments, your imperfections all begin to fade away...as do your misconceptions. You know this person, don't you? Yes, you do. Actually you know them very well. You're with them. You came with them, it seems to you, to reconnect, a lover's getaway. After all, what's more steamy than a hot springs?

So go ahead, do what you've intended to do. No one will mind if you get a little frisky in the springs if it helps out your relationship; besides, what do you think some of the extra natural minerals are for? They'll certainly help you get hot under the collar, not that you'll need that. Your (new) mutual history should be enough.

  • Comment with your character, preferences, and etc. Include canon information and anything relevant to the meme, as well, if you'd like.
  • All characters are welcome. Appropriate, inappropriate, serious, whatever.
  • Reply to others. You can hash out your what your characters will eventually believe their shared history to be, or just put up a starter and play it by ear.

An AU Meme

On the dangerous world of Remnant, the occupation of "Huntsman" was created to safeguard mankind's future from the encroach of the Creatures of Grimm: hordes of foul monsters which are attracted by negative emotions such as fear, anger, and sadness. The Grimm's sole purpose is to ensure the destruction of humanity, and Huntsmen and Huntresses are the force that keeps them at bay.

Four combat schools were founded to train these Huntsmen, the most elite of warriors: Beacon Academy in metropolitan Vale, Haven Academy in lushly forested Mistral, Atlas Academy high above frigid Mantle, and Shade Academy in arid Vacuo. The professors of these academies instruct young, would-be warriors in their trademark art of designing, building, and mastering their custom-built weapons. Students also train their Semblance - a unique, personal superpower which tends to reflect the wielder's personality - through real missions and 1-on-1 combat.

From day one, stepping foot into an academy is a pledge that you are willing to sacrifice your life for the good of your fellow man. Are you ready for your first day of class?

How to Play

1. Pick a Role: Huntsman, Student, Professor, etc
2. Dream up a Semblance (superpower) based on your character's abilities, history, and/or personality
3. Choose a prompt, or wing it!
4. Have fun, don't worry about sticking to canon!

The Good / Bad Pairing Meme



Attraction is a strange beast. It's hard to pinpoint just why you may want to shag that particular person...or, even worse, why you're in love with them! And can't that be bad enough when the two of you are, but what about when you're completely different? Or maybe you're not even on the side! You're a superhero (or at least on the side of good), he or she's a super villain... How would your relationship pan out if things were like that?

Okay, it may not be as dramatic as that. You two could just be the "good" guy/girl in school, the goody two shoes, who's fallen in love with the "bad" boy/girl, leather jacket and all. Whatever the case may be, things won't be easy.

How To Play
- Comment with your character, putting the standard information somewhere in it. You also may want to specify your preferences or where your character would fall for each set of prompts. Some characters may be different things for each: ie, someone like Dean Winchester would probably be a traditional "bad boy" in the first sit, but a hero in the second.
- Tag others! Feel free to use the RNG. Roll twice. First number chooses the prompt set, second the prompt number.
- Have fun and be respectful to others.

1) Every Good Girl Loves a Bad Boy
1. Summer Lovin', Happened So Fast: One of you is straight laced, while the other walks on the wild side (interpret that as loosely as you'd like). Somehow, though, you've come together.
2. Daddy Don't Approve: Your friends or family don't like your partner.
3. Be My Lover but Don't Be My Friend: You're just in it for the sex.
4. Uptown Girl: There's more than just "good" and "bad" at play, here; there's also class differences.
5. Ashamed to Be Seen: You care about this person, but you're rep's more important.
6. Love 'Em and Leave 'Em: You thought you were important, but your lover's just left you by the wayside for some reason.
7. Against All Odds: Somehow, you're standing up to all the naysayers, and you've lasted.

2) Heroes and Villains
1. Love or Hate at First Sight: Pretty self explanatory. This baddie/good guy is a little different than the rest.
2. Got to Have You: The good party's been kidnapped by the bad, for some reason. Is it love, lust, annoyance? Who knows?
3. Stockholm Syndrome: You're the one who's been kidnapped or hurt, but you're falling in lovelust with your captor.
4. Reverse Stockholm Syndrome: You're the kidnapper, but you're falling in love/lust with your charge.
5. Unrequited Love: One of you cares for the other, but it's not returned.
6. Purification: Through the power of love, the bad guy has been won over and changed affiliations!
7. Corruption: Through the power of lust and manipulation, the good guy has fallen in order to be with the other person.
8. The BatCat Scenario: You've both decided to stay on your own sides, but whenever you meet, there's enough UST to power a small city.
9. Bad End: One or both of you have been killed or hurt by your affair.
10. WILDCARD
