word association — but with a twist.

Think of it. You’re across a table from someone. Or snuggled on a couch. Or, you know, in a jail cell or a five-star restaurant. As you do. A date, chance encounter, room you can’t leave until certain circumstances are met, therapy, interrogation: don’t overthink it. Here are the rules, if you need them. If you’re not compelled.

You give them a word (maybe about romance, maybe not). They give one back. The first one to feel a stirring on their chest, who wants to know more...wins? Loses? Nobody’s keeping score.

You might even just shake loose some deep-rooted secrets about yourself. Or score.

GUIDELINES
① y'all know what to do. generate a word, if you wanna.
② don’t take this seriously, like at all. it’s a one-time post that's meant only for dumbshittery, not to replace anything.

You've seen her across the room a hundred times - oh, maybe it's him? - and for some reason you've always been too shy to say it... Or maybe it's a complete stranger and you're feeling kind of brave? Either way, you're compelled to let this person know that you'd hit it. You would so hit that.

Hell, if you don't, feel free to tell that person: no, I would not.

No guarantees can be made!
The Rules:
  • Post with your character. Include name, series, and any preferences in the subject line.
  • Other characters are gonna reply and confess whether or not they'd hit dat.
  • Play out the reactions. Add in a setting! Take it to a room. Whatever you'd like.
  • Tag around.
  • Have fun and be excellent to each other!

HYGGE MEME

Hygge (Danish, noun): a complete absence of anything annoying or emotionally overwhelming; taking pleasure from the presence of gentle, soothing things.

Dark winter evening: it's raining outside and it's cold, you're stocking up on blankets, lighting all the candles you can get your hands on and the tea's already brewing in the kitchen. Fend off the darkest season as the Danes do and have a good time with people you love.

First summer picnic: the sun's shining from a clear, blue sky, the temperatures have finally risen after half a year of depressive icy greys and it's time to go outside, bring a picnic basket and break out the wine and strawberries. Enjoy the sunlight while it lasts in a park somewhere or in the forest, if you're adventurous.

Autumn stroll aftermath: the winds are harsh and the leaves colour everything golden and red. Coming home from a walk that has left your cheeks red and your hands cool, go make some hot chocolate and fix up a bowl of marshmallows, it's time to get cosy.

Springtime playtime: the outdoors are turning a fresh green and the sky is bluer than it's been all winter. Bring sodas and sandwiches and go play in the garden. Some exercise should be healthy for the mind as well as for the body, because a game is the best way to shake off winter and reconnect with friends.

Wildcard: got another way to hygge? Bring it here!

How to play -

1. Post a comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences you may have (no shipping, no smut, etc.)
2. Others pick one of the prompts and either write a starter themselves or leave you to set the scene.
3. Go around and have a good time.

THE OTHERWORDLY MEME
Sometimes all you need is a word to spark off an idea.

How to play -

1. Post a comment with your character's name, canon, and any preferences you may have (no shipping, no smut, etc.)
2. Leave the comment blank or post a word or two in the body. (It may also help if you list scenarios you would like to play.)
3. Reply to other people, either with words you picked out, or words they posted as prompts for a thread.
