(Or enemy texting, if that's more your bag.)

Are you tired of building up to the act? Do you sometimes wish for a chance to skip all the conversation and go straight for the experience?

Rumor has it.  
I heard a rumor @ the love hotel...

Rumors are a powerful thing. They can ruin reputations, make or break relationships, and they hold all this power whether they're true or not. But, isn't it juicy when it's true?

A mystical, horny power has recently started bringing rumors to life. Whether your world is mundane or magical, the instructions are similar. You leave a slip of paper at a makeshift shrine and the world just might oblige. People can use this power for good, for evil, for absolutely anything... as long as they get off on it.

How to Play

1. Post a top-level comment with your character. A blank toplevel doesn't really help anyone. Try to include:

a) Some rumors that have been posted about your character and are now true.
b) Some rumors your character has left at the shrine and is eagerly waiting for the result of.
c) Whether or not you're open to characters tagging in with their own rumors.


2. Tag out and respect people's preferences! Assumed CR can work for rumors involving [my best friend], [my mother-in-law], [my supernatural companion].

3. Have fun! The rumor's effects can be a compulsion, a change in reality where it's always been like this, and the person under the influence can be as aware or unaware as you like!

There's a long precedent in folklore and myth of beautiful young people - both men and women - being kidnapped by monsters: dragons, beasts, goblins, demons, elves, vampires, wolves, or even evil humans. In the end, however, these prisoners are almost always rescued and brought back to civilization to live a normal and happy life.

But what if they didn't want to leave their jailor?

They've seen behind the surface and have begun to sympathize with this "monster;" no, more than that, they've fallen for them. Will this story have a happy ending? Will the monster believe that anyone could love them? Most importantly, though, can the two of them be left alone without any attempts at a "rescue?"

how to play
  • Comment with your character, your preference, and what role they'll play. Feel free to AU characters to your desire role.
  • Reply to others.
  • Thread anything that could remotely fit under the umbrella theme. Was the kidnapping just that, or did both parties know (and care) for each other before, making it a collaborative, mutual effort? Perhaps you'd prefer to play the actual Beauty and The Beast-style getting to know each other or seeing behind the grizzly facade. What about an attempted "rescue?" Or maybe you could thread out a scene where the prisoner runs away from the society they were forced back into and returns to their beloved beast! It's all up to you. You could even do smut if you wanted to, but this isn't a smut meme.

It doesn't matter if your lover is as tough as nails dipped in molten steel or as weak as ripped tissue; for the first time, as they're in your arms, you notice how delicate and tiny they are. Now, if they're actually small (or smaller than you) and frail is not the issue, yet they seem all of those things to you now.

And despite the fact that this thought should disturb you, at the very least make you want to protect them from everything this world could threaten. It doesn't. Actually, it just makes them all the more attractive to you, for better or worse. You want sex even more, too, whether it be tender and gentle or insanely rough, to break this precious thing you have in your hands.

  • How you use this meme and what kinks you can get from it are up to you! Depending on the character, you can play anything from sweet fluff to size kink to corruption to protectiveness/ownership to awkward first times to BDSM to topping from the bottom to unexpected role reversals. Just be sure to be upfront and say what you'd be interested in.
