 THE sexual baggage MEME The media paints a beautiful picture of sex as the most important, most important thing in life. There could be a glimmer of truth in that; sex can be good, wonderful even. But not everyone is fortunate enough to have the best relationship with physical intimacy. You can relate, can't you? Sex is something you're not always so sure about. It's not because of the person you're with, not really, but the act itself brings up unfortunate baggage. There's parts of your body or old injuries you're not too proud of or don't want to think about. You don't like people touching you. You've always been taught that sex was dirty, unclean. In your past, events or traumas occurred that make you less than thrilled to present any kind of vulnerability. Whatever the case may be, sexual intimacy opens a whole Pandora's Box for you. But you're with someone, someone you may even love, and you want to be with them. You want to try and do this for them and, in the end, for yourself. Of course, it will be easier said than done, and you'll need the full cooperation of that partner. Or maybe you are that partner, trying to understand how to make your lover comfortable. Whatever the case, you may have your work cut out for you - yet if you're truly willing to understand each other, the results can be more than worth it. If they're not? That's all right, too. Food – you can’t live without it, but there’s no need to make such an essential part of living such a bland thing. Cuisine has become art, a way to bring family together, broker peace, and conduct business. It can also relieve stress and show how much you care about someone. So wash your hands, put on your aprons, and fire up the grill or open the microwave – soup’s on!
1. Potluck: BYOF, Backyard Barbeques, whatever the case it’s either for charity or just a bunch of friends hanging out and chilling – everyone brings a dish, compare notes. Hopefully someone remembers to bring a vegetarian option. Or maybe everyone just brings something and throw it in a giant pot - don't be the dick who throws in a lvl. 99 poison mushroom.
2. Dinner Date: What’s more romantic than cooking a meal for that special someone? Hopefully you don’t burn your house down in the attempt and have to order takeout.
3. Cooking Competition: Think extreme, play it straight or cutthroat kitchen, sabotaging your opponents, presentation, taste, and difficulty is all factors in determining the winners. May the Best Person wins!
4. How to Cook: You got to start somewhere. Anyone can cook, some naturally got the knack – others need a guiding hand. Patience and attention to detail will be rewarded, and it's a good way to get closer to someone.
5. Exotic Lunch: Well, if it looks good, eat it as someone once said. Whether it's simply obscure cuisine such as hardboiled fertilized duck egg and snake wine to far more exotic fares like Klingon Bloodwine and Grilled Kelpie. It’s far beyond what you experienced, but it won’t kill you… right?
6. Ingredient Hunting Those truffles, herbs, and fish had to come from somewhere and the fresher the ingredients, the better! And some of those ingredients are worth quite a bit so why not roll up your sleeves and get to searching, fishing, and hunting. You might be able to swing in a picnic.
