MORE THAN PARTNERS

You two are a complimentary duo, a team that many would envy. One leads, the other follows. One offers support or intel or back up to the other, or perhaps even medical help for the other, the beserker or powerhouse. Whatever your cause may be - working for an organization, working for yourselves, adventuring, demon hunting, fighting giants, protecting humanity from rogue alchemists, or just living life in a situation that calls for a "partnership" - you work like a well-oiled machine.

But it's more than partnership. You look out for each other, watch each others' backs. No one will hurt your partner on your watch.

But it's more than that, too. More than anyone can ever know. You two care for one another nearly more than anyone else in the world (or perhaps more "nearly" involved), and you're partners in a different way as well...or, at least, you're dangerously skirting that line.

Even if that's a dangerous game, there's one thing for certain: you can't and won't let any affections and emotions get in the way of making sure they stay safe.

➳ Comment with your character's name and any preferences. You can also mention which "side" of the partnership you'd like to play, though that's optional.
➳ Reply to other characters.

the BACKLASH meme

You love each other. You're happy together. Unfortunately though, some kinds of relationships are frowned upon by the rest of society, and people have a nasty habit of sticking their noses where they don't belong when it comes to this sort of thing. Your relationship is under attack by those who disapprove of it. How you deal with it is up to you.

The course of true love never did run smooth.

REASONS
  1. Prejudice. People can be terribly narrow-minded, and visibly 'unconventional' relationships often bear the brunt of their prejudice. You could be of the same gender; of different classes, races, or even species depending on your setting: either way, strangers and friends alike are likely to judge.
  2. Forbidden. In the time and place where you live, your relationship is heavily taboo or perhaps even straight-up illegal. You could be facing worse consequences than dirty looks.
  3. Imbalance. There's some obvious power imbalance between you; a large age gap, perhaps, or one of you is in a position of authority over the other. You may have worked it out to your own satisfaction, but not everyone is so understanding.
  4. Conflict. Whether it's political, moral, legal, or anything up to a full-on war, you're on opposite sides of some conflict and people are starting to wonder where your loyalties really lie.
  5. Responsibilities. Perhaps nothing about the relationship itself is considered objectionable, but whether there's an arranged marriage or a duty to procreate lurking in the wings, or some other complication, it's still a relationship you're not supposed to be having.
  6. Affair. Again, the relationship itself would be perfectly inoffensive, if not for the tiny detail that one of you is already married to someone else.
  7. Personal. A more specific and perhaps more hurtful option: due to history, personality, or both, everyone who knows or knows of you thinks that you're a terrible match. Be wary of attempts to break you up 'for your own good'.
  8. Wildcard. Because there are so many, many more reasons for people to be assholes.

SCENARIOS
  1. Fuck 'em. It's the two of you against the world, and everyone else can go to hell. You'll get through this and god help anyone who stands in your way.
  2. Did I say that? One of you may have reacted badly under great provocation. Which is understandable, of course, but now there's the matter of dealing with the aftermath.
  3. Hold me. You're so worn down by people's hostile attitudes, you need some reassurance and comfort. Just five minutes of being able to hide from the world and pretend people don't suck can make such a difference.
  4. Under attack. It's gone beyond hurtful words, and someone has decided to teach one of you a lesson you won't forget.
  5. Done. You've got no fight left in you. If it's always going to be this hard, maybe it would be better if you ended the relationship.
  6. For their own good. You love your partner, but surely if you loved them you wouldn't be putting them through this for your sake? Maybe it would be better if you left so they could lead a normal life.
  7. Wildcard. Because there are so many, many more ways to react to people being assholes.

RELATIONSHIPS
  1. The 'Happy' Couple. Does exactly what it says on the tin. You need to deal with the complications your relationship is causing.
  2. Supportive Friend. You may not be directly involved, but damned if you're going to let people treat your friends like that. At the very least you can offer them a sympathetic ear and a shoulder to rant on.
  3. Concerned Bystander. It's none of your business, really, but they look pretty shaken by whatever that asshole over there was yelling. A little kindness can go a long way.
  4. The Abovementioned Asshole. Look you don't want to be the bad guy here, but it's just not right, okay?
  5. Devil's Advocate. You're not saying the abovementioned asshole is right or anything. But...well, maybe people are opposed to the relationship for a reason. And even if those reasons are bad reasons, wouldn't it make life so much easier if they were in a more, uh...normal relationship?
  6. Wildcard. Because-- yeah, you know the drill.

Semi-Meme
07 June 2014 @ 07:33 pm

It's that damn plurk meme. Sort of.

This is the Sleeping Meme. Plain and simple, your character is sleeping with another one. While sharing a bed and sleeping together with someone is very intimate, smut is not necessary.

What do:
1) Post with your character. Name and canon go in the subject line.
2) Include your preferences.
3) Tag around.
4) If you tag, pick a letter from A-H according to the diagram above. Ta-da. That's the position the characters are sleeping in.
5) That's it.

The TOOK  YOU  IN Shipping Meme

They were on your front door, in your yard, or on the street, confused and clearly in no position to fend for themselves; in a worst case scenario, they were bruised and battered, possibly close to death. Bleeding heart or not, you can't just be so cruel as to let them suffer. They need a place to stay, and you'll open your home to them...long enough to get back on their feet, anyway.

Speaking of feet, the shoe could be on the other one. You're worse for the wear - in a new place, possibly injured, certainly not in the best state of mind. You could not even remember how you got here or who you are to get here, for that matter. You may not want to remember. Whether willing or not so willing, you're in no position to turn down help, especially if said helper won't take no for an answer. No matter how dedicated you are to looking after yourself, there's only so much you can do in your position.

The two of you are staying together, at any rate. Only for a while, the plan is. But after said while, even though strength and confidence is returning to the injured, there's something a little different between you two. It could be the close quarters, the kindness shown, or a number of things, but quietly, softly, feelings have grown. Could more confusion and hurt spring from this? What about when it's time to go? Can the temporary resident leave as easily as they intended? You're so close now, perhaps a little while longer can't do any harm...

...until whatever it was that put them in such a perilous position in the first place comes back, and there could be "justice" for anyone who's dared to help.

RULES
  • Comment with your character and preferences. Say if you'd rather play the taken in or the person taking them in.
  • Reply to others.
  • There's no smut option because I'm making a companion smut meme to this for TLH in the next few days, but you can play smut if you really want to!

TIED TOGETHER
i want to fuck you like an animal

Maybe...

You saw them from across the room

You've known them for years

But now you can't wait to claim them, all of them, as yours in the most animalistic way possible.

Knotting is a popular sub-genre of fiction that has become popular recently. The genre gives canine-type characteristics to male characters wherein the penile shaft enlarges as he approaches his orgasm to tie both him and his partner together for up to twenty minutes. The knot provides both a way to claim, and in case of a situation where pregnancy is a possibility, prevents sperm from leaking out.

While this can include Alpha/Beta/Omega play, heats, and similar genres, this isn't entirely required for this meme. For those interested in even edgier play, including full-out bestiality, there are options.

Please remember that this meme deals with topics not everyone may be comfortable with. Respect each other, don't cause wank, and don't forget to please exactly what you're comfortable playing!

The Purpose:
Sometimes there are a bunch of people out there who want to play in the same fandom as you, or with similar ideas and you either don't know each other exist or you're too shy to approach each other. This is what this Meme is about! Look for like-minded people, try to find canon-mates, brainstorm PSL or new game ideas! You might even find that what you're looking for already exists.

What to do:
♦ Post with your fandom/show/book/game and look for castmates/others to play with
♦ Post with game/PSL ideas and see if other people are interested
♦ Post whatever you're looking for and see if it's already out there
♦ Read around and find out if anyone else's ideas also interest you!

Don't be shy, reach out for people. If they are posting here, it means they want interaction. Don't be afraid of rejection. If you don't ask, the answer is always no. ;)
