THE IMPRISONED MEME

Maybe you know exactly how it happened, or maybe your memory is hazy. Either way, you're now a prisoner. How will you deal with the strain of losing your freedom -- will you cooperate with your captors or will you plot behind their backs? Lend a hand to your fellow prisoners, or turn informant? Make a small fortune in black-market goods and information, or make a break for it? The choice is up to you: will you be a number, or a free man?

How-To:
* Post with your name, fandom, etc. in the subject line.
*In a sentence or two, describe what you're in for, if you're innocent or guilty, and anything else you think helps set the scene. If your character's canon involves a canonical prison (Azkaban to Alcatraz), feel free to include a note on the setting, or make one up.
* Play around and tag other people! Feel free to decide for yourselves what role you'll play when tagging, based on the other person's description. Some suggesions:
- Their lawyer, come to discuss the case
- A visiting loved one. Enjoy your file cake, sweetie!
- The Warden. Are you a fair person trying to do a just job, or a corrupt megalomaniac?
- A fellow prisoner. Maybe you're here to show the new guy the ropes. Maybe you want to warn them of an unknown danger, bring them in on an escape attempt, or just commiserate on your situation.

The sky is the limit and there is no RNG. Play nicely, respect one another's boundaries, and have fun!

Some people might call it the witching hour, but here at WMBS we like to think of it as Shout-Out O'Clock. For the next hour we'll be playing nothing but your musical dedications. Is there a special someone out there that you haven't told how you feel? Now's the chance -- call on in and request that perfect song that'll let them know you're grooving on them. Angry at someone and can't find the right words to express it? We can help you out. Do you and your bestie have an anthem that you just can't get enough of? Neither can we, and we've got it at the touch of a button. Ever thought up the perfect theme song for one of your buddies or coworkers but never got around to telling them about it? We'll tell them for you! Here at WMBS we aim to please -- and we do it commercial free.

1) Tag in with your muse and fandom and any other pertinent information you usually post.
2) Other people will reply with songs that make them think of your muse. (ETA: From a heads up, links are awesome, but if you can throw in the song title/artist in text somewhere for those with slow connections or on phones, that'd be sweet.)
3) Reply to them at will with your reaction to their dedications, or a return dedication of your own. Stereo Wars is never a bad time.
4) Poke around and see if there's else anyone up in here who you've got a song dedication for.
5) Remember that IC snarkery is fair game, but OOC drama is totally not.
6) If you post a link to a song on youtube, soundcloud, mediafire, or what have you, PLEASE NOTE CLEARLY IN YOUR TAG if the link is to something NSFW. If you're not sure, err with caution. It'd suck to get fired over some booty-shaking dedications.
7) Have funzies.

For all of technology's advances, we can't seem to stop our reliance on ink and paper. Perhaps it's a security issue, (paper is hard to hack), access or just plain preference. Okay, so some places just don't accept anything else. Either way, the physical letter isn't going anywhere.

There's junk mail - the fliers, ads and coupons that are tossed away. The occasional heartwarming letter, card or package, especially from the relatives who aren't quite there with modern day tech. And of course, there are bills.

1. Your mailbox: Comment with the character name and fandom in the subject line.
• Feel free to include any preferences and info in the comment box.

2. Delivery: Others respond with a written letter, postcard, packages, etc. (Some message templates here)

3. You've got mail!

Things That Go Bump in the Night: The Meme

They're the things that go bump in the night. As long as man has been telling stories, they have been passing along tales of the dark, the supernatural, the otherworldly. And it seems they're recruiting.

Maybe it was a science experiment gone wrong. Perhaps something bit you. Maybe an ancient ritual tainted your soul and transformed you into a servant of darkness. Or maybe you've always been this way. Whatever you thought you knew before, you're one of Them now. What happens next?

Rules (Do you guys even need these anymore?):

1. Post with your character name, fandom and preferences.
2. People reply to you using RNG (or not) to pick an option; up to you which character is affected by monstrosity - maybe both are!
3. Roleplay
4. Have fun!
