THE RANDOM SCENARIO MEME 3.0

- Post your character, name, and series in the subject. Include any preferences as well.
- Go to RNG and enter 1-7 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out.

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.
⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.
⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!
⑥ Back in School / Graduated → You're suddenly back in school! Or if you were already in it, you've aged and long since graduated!
⑦ Vampires, werewolves, and zombies, oh my! → You're suddenly a vampire, werewolf, or zombie! Maybe even a demon or a devil, whatever creepy crawly you can think of. What do you do now?

⑨ Awkward conversations → So did you just fart or what? Any conversation goes, as long as it's embarrassing and awkward.
⑩ Crossdressing → For whatever reason, you're suddenly dressed in clothes of the opposite sex.
⑪ Suddenly naked → Oops! Your clothes are suddenly gone.
⑫ Suddenly a kid → You're a kid again! Have fun with that second childhood.
⑬ Fortune cookie → You've suddenly received a note with something that will happen in the future, either precise or vague.
⑭ Super power → And suddenly you're like Superman! Any power goes.
⑮ Bodyswap → Somehow you've changed bodies with the other person.
⑯ Back in time → Somehow, you wound up in the past again. Do you try to correct something or just sit and wait for time to jump? Maybe it jumps to various points in your life or maybe you actually think you're back in the day. Have fun, run wild with the idea!
⑰ To the future → Is it everything you've dreamed? Is it horrible? Whatever happens, you're here to witness what happens to you in the future. Either you take the place of your future self or you're just there to watch. Might cause some confusion if people start seeing double though...
⑱ Angels, mermaids, and fairies! → You're not necessary something dark or evil. You're just something different. How do you deal?
⑲ Locked in a closet → For some reason, you're locked up in a closet with someone else. Do you make nice and try to figure your way out or what?

FLUFF.
① Cuddling → For whatever reason, characters feel like being close and cuddling.

① Nice meeting you → It's your first time meeting this person! You bumped into each other on the street, in a bar, at work... whatever!

③ Lost → You're lost and you kind of need help finding your way to where you're going. A little help with directions?
④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?
⑦ Old friends → you haven't seen this person in a long time!
⑧ Rivals → you're suddenly rivals! Or maybe you have been all along...

⑫ Sorry but no → the other person has feelings that you just don't share. They don't necessarily have to be romantic... maybe you just don't agree with their sudden desire to quit their job and start a business making tiny, fuzzy teddy bears.
⑬ My hero → you need to tell this person how much they mean to you. They've been your best friend or your role model your whole life and they need to know.
⑭ Enabler → you're enabling the other (or each other) to do something bad, really bad. Addiction, stealing, killing, or just any other self-destructive behavior.

⑯ Oh, sure, I remember you... → It's that awkward moment when someone comes up and seems to know you, but you have no idea who they even are!

(Hey, it wouldn't be Agnes if she weren't prickly! He's a big boy, I'm sure he can handle it!)

[Hero TV just wasn't the same without it's producer around. Even a short absence was felt (as relief if some were to be believed but still felt) and from what he'd managed to learn from the hospital staff it would be weeks before Ms Agnes was fit enough to return to work. And it was all Keith's fault. The other heroes might have said it wasn't, that he couldn't have anticipated the attack, but that hadn't stopped the feelings of guilt. Someone had gotten hurt because he hadn't been able to protect them. It didn't matter that Ms Agnes would make a full recovery, she wouldn't have gotten hurt if he'd done his job properly.

Now she was going to be stuck at home recovering for who knew how long and- And she was right there in front of him, struggling along on crutches all alone.]

Ms Agnes!

[Jogging up to her Keith looked her over fretfully, wondering if he should offer to carry her wherever she was going.]

Shouldn't you be resting?

[She is going to FIRE the next person who asks that. Or at least, the next person who isn't a Hero on contract.]

Hold on - Good morning, Sky High - No hiatus, and that's final. Have it on my desk in 20 minutes.

[She snaps the phone shut, but fumbles it as she tries to put it away. There's a muttered curse as it falls.]

Oh, ah- good morning! Working hard already I see!

[Not that that's a surprise - Ms Agnes always seems to be working, no matter what is happening or what state she's in. It's the sort of dedication he can respect, even if sometimes it seems like it might be wiser if she took a break. Like now.

A gust of wind catches her phone before it can hit the ground, propelling it up and into his hand. Even as he holds it out for her to take Keith offers-]

Maybe you should let me carry your things Ms Agnes? If you fell you might hurt yourself worse!

[What is this "break" you speak of? Agnes is unfamiliar with the term, except in regards to her leg.

There's a flash of irritation at the suggestion. Sky High's just trying to help. It's what he does. But Agnes doesn't need help, she's not some invalid or damsel. The schedules already in chaos after two days out, there's simply no time to worry about it!]

That's really unnecessary -

[The phone starts blaring just as she reaches for it. She shifts the crutch, trying to get it to a more comfortable angle so she can pick up. Even little things like answering the phone take twice as long on these damn crutches - but it slips from under her arm and she stumbles.]

[The second Agnes stumbles forward Keith moves, catching her easily and holding her pressed tightly against him so she can't slip again. The still-ringing phone is moved out of reach while he tries to help gather her crutches for her. Surely she'll understand that whatever the call is, it's nowhere near as important as her well-being?]

Please Ms Agnes, I'd hate for you to get hurt again. Maybe if you'd let me carry you? Where are you heading?

[Agnes is now completely nonplussed. This is ridiculous. She considers making a grab for the phone, but Keith has at least a foot on her. Also he's the only reason she's not sprawled on the floor. Until he gets the crutches, she's stuck.

Also, he does rather have a point.

Agnes settles for a glare. Any interns in the vicinity immediately take cover.]

Sky High, I do not need to be carried. It's just a broken leg.

[He's acting more of a Boy Scout then usual. What on Earth is his problem? It's not as if he and the other Heroes are strangers to injury.]

[Despite his wince in the face of that glare, Keith didn't move away or return her phone. Looping the arm holding her now silent phone through the crutches he held them out for Agnes to take back if she really wanted, despite the temptation to leave them and just scoop her up. Some ideas were obviously bad no matter who you were.]

But what happens if you fall again Ms Agnes? If your injury gets worse it will take even longer to heal! You're not very heavy and it will be much faster if you let me help. I can take you to your office or back home - you don't really need to be here, do you?

[It's one thing when the heroes themselves get hurt - it's part of their job - but Ms Agnes isn't supposed to be in harm's way and it was only through his failure that this had happened. So until she got better had to do everything in his power to take care of her!]

What -

[It is equal parts insulting and weirdly endearing. Not for the first time, Agnes wonders how Keith functions in society. No really, how?]

And what am I supposed to do at home? Watch my show fall out of first place? Not a chance!

[Agnes maneuvers the crutches back under her arms, swings away from Keith, and grimly finishes the trek to her office. He's probably going to follow no matter what she says. Fortunately it's just a few more doors down. She awkwardly levels herself into the chair, concentrating on hiding the wince. Only a few minutes up and her leg already aches.

It's fine. It's fine.]

Okay, I'm sitting. Will you stop fussing?

[Another wince as he trails after her unhappily - she was clearly upset with him, though she had every right to be.]

Surely you can direct things from home?

[She'd already come all the way though so he hardly expected her to listen to the suggestions. Following her all the way into the office it should be abundantly clear that the answer is no, he will not stop fussing. But Agnes does get her phone back even as Keith looks around her office fretfully.]

Maybe I should get you something to rest your leg on? Or some water so you don't have to move? Is there someone who can help you out?

[If there's an emergency and he has to go he'd hate to think she might be stuck alone with no one to rely on for help. And he's not sure Ms Agnes would even ask for help if she needed it. She was very independent like that.]

[And that's why all of this is so galling. Agnes has fought so hard to get here that suggesting anyone else could take her place, even momentarily, is unacceptable. She needs to be here.

So she is upset, but not necessarily with Sky High. Really, she'd be annoyed with anyone on two legs at this point. The fact he might be feeling particularly guilty simply has not crossed her mind.]

Cain's going to be here in a few minutes and I have interns two feet away.

[Then, if he's still not leaving - ]

Fine, coffee. From that shop downstairs. They know my order.

[It had been enough of a hassle getting dressed. Breakfast was out of the question. Agnes tries not to think about how long it's been since she's actually eaten.]

[Perking up immediately, Keith nodded before bounding off to do just that.]

Yes, of course! I'll be right back! Please wait, I'll return straight away!

[And he's off! A man on a mission!

It was a surprisingly quick trip - as soon as he'd said he was getting coffee for Ms. Agnes the staff had been very helpful and served him right away. One had even patted him on the shoulder sympathetically, saying something about how it was always hardest for the new ones which he'd thanked them for though he hadn't really understood. But now he was back, placing two coffees (so Ms. Agnes didn't need to worry about going down herself if she wanted another!) and a bag with several warm pastries down on her desk.]

Here! I hope I didn't take too long! I thought you might be hungry too and they said you liked these sometimes. I hope it's all to your satisfaction.

[And he'll just stand back and watch attentively, waiting to see if the effort meets with approval.]

[Good, that ought to keep him busy for -

- Two minutes, seven seconds. Well, serves her right for thinking the Hero who can fly could be delayed for very long. Even without the rocket pack.

At a loss for what else to do, Agnes takes a sip and - perfect. Well, she has the baristas trained well enough, certainly, but... Damnnit. Those are cheese danishes. He's right, she's starving. It takes all her willpower to not grab one out of the bag right now. It's weird that he's right. Agnes is supposed to be the one who can read other people. Being on the other end of the attention is disturbing.

Also, Agnes can't shake the impression of a very excited golden retriever. She resists the bizarre urge to pat Keith on the head or something.]

Ah, no - it's - It's fine.

[Effusive praise, considering the source!]

[The dog-like impression is likely not helped by the wide grin that her praise evokes. Or the feeling that if he had a tail it would definitely be wagging right now.]

I'm glad! And again, glad I can help! Is there anything else you need? I don't have anything scheduled this morning so as long as there's not an emergency I can stay and help as long as you need! It's the least I can do.

[Plus the interns seem relieved to have him there. They must be very worried about Ms Agnes too.]

[The interns have no idea who the loud blond guy is, but if he's willing to deal with Agnes he can come back ANYTIME.

Aw, look at Keith saving the day even when he's not trying!

Agnes sneaks a glance at the schedule, and realizes it's true - His whole morning is open. Oh, she is going to EVISCERATE whoever wrote this. They're losing valuable promotion time AND she has no ready excuse to get rid of Sky High.

With a sigh, she finally gives up and takes one of the danishes.]

Least you can do?

[And there goes the cheerful smile, replaced by a look of regret.]

For letting you get hurt. A hero is supposed to protect people and I failed. If I had of done my job properly you wouldn't have gotten hurt. I'm very sorry for letting you down.

[He's certain that if she had of been there with Barnaby and Wild Tiger the criminal would've been apprehended without anyone being hurt.]

[Maybe. Or maybe Tiger would have knocked down the entire building instead of the one wall she was unlucky enough to be next to.]

And that's bothering you.

[Oh no, and he's got such a White Knight complex of COURSE the guilt set in. Agnes takes another sip of coffee. She honestly does not know what to do with this.]

What are you sorry for? I told you to go catch the criminal, and you did. That was your job, Sky High.

[Comfort - noooooot exactly her area of expertise.]

[Good thing he can read between the lines then. Or extrapolate wildly from even monosyllabic answers to hear what he needs to. Whatever works.]

A hero's job is to protect people ma'am. Your safety should have come first. I should've been able to stop him without any injuries. I'm sorry and I'll do anything I can to help you out until you recover!

[Meaning she may be stuck with him for a while if nothing comes up and his sponsors don't have need of him.]

And when you do I can help with your physical therapy too!

[That gets an aggravated sigh.

Sky High may not be the brightest, but once he has an idea in his head there's no shaking him. That determination is what makes him one of the best Heroes. It's an excellent quality. Usually. Agnes is finding it FAR less desirable when it's being applied to her personal life.

She shifts, uncomfortable. Her leg's starting to complain in earnest. Unfortunately, the heavy painkillers are with her purse. Back in her apartment. Oh well. There's aspirin around here somewhere. She'll just tough it out.]

Look. Sky High. There are risks with my job. I'm not happy about this, but it happened. You don't need to have this guilt complex over it!

[Yes, because reasoning with the King of Idealists is DEFINITELY GOING TO WORK.]

But-

[Before he could argue further Keith was distracted by the alert tone as his wristband activated, signalling he was needed for an emergency. Frowning at the message he looked back at Agnes in concern. She'd surely want to be involved in broadcasting whatever was happening but he wasn't sure it was a very good idea for her to try and navigate the cramped control room in her current state. But there was little he could do - he was needed elsewhere.]

Ah. I'm very sorry Ms Agnes but I must go! Mr Cain will be here soon to help you, yes?

[There did seem to be someone coming down the hallway already and there were the interns nearby to help besides so he didn't feel too bad about turning to run out the door, calling over his shoulder-]

Please don't exert yourself too much! I will come see you later!

[Agnes is already hauling herself up.]

Get going!

[The rest of the day passes in a blur. Even on crutches, Agnes is in her element. This is right, this is where she belongs. It's a good one, too - a tech company robbery by some kind of electro-kinetic gang. They hit three different locations, and it takes most of the afternoon before the last of them are brought in.

However, as the day wears on, even the rush of a good job isn't enough to keep going. The aspirin barely makes a dent in the pain. Her arms grow stiff from the unfamiliar position of holding the crutches. The danish and coffee feel like they're a long, long way off.

Finally, Agnes is forced to hand off the wrap-ups to Cain. It's the only concession all day. He wisely keeps his mouth shut, and any sympathetic glances to himself. The trip back to her office is more of a hobble. The plan is to rest a minute, then get out before Sky High can come back and make more of a nuisance of himself.

Sitting down is a mistake. Her arms are cramping so badly she's not sure she'll be able to stand again.]

[It was very satisfying when they finally rounded up all the criminals. All the heroes had been happy if tired after the last one had been caught. They'd done good work and there'd been plenty of points to go around so the sponsors had been happy too.

There had even been talk as they were all changing out of their hero suits of going out to celebrate but Keith had politely excused himself from that. He'd told Ms Agnes he would check on her again and that's what he would do. She might need help getting home and he still had time before he wanted to do his nightly patrol.

Back in his street clothes again he jogs through the halls of Hero TV, stopping in front of her office and knocking before entering. It's really no surprise to see her back at her desk - she always works so hard even when she has every reason to take it easy.]

Ms Agnes? I'm back. I cam back to see how you were doing. How do you feel?

[Agnes jerks up - she hadn't exactly been asleep, just drifting, head propped in her hand.]

What? Fine - Oh, Sky High. Good work today.

[Her tone is more distracted then irritated, at this point. She's just too tired to summon the energy.

The desk is covered in stacks of paper, drafts and memos. All of which require urgent attention. None of which she's touched in the last... thirty minutes? Has she really been sitting here that long? Unfortunately, the rest has not helped relieve any of the pain.]

[Despite the cheery repetition of his catchphrase at the praise Keith frowns in concern. She just doesn't seem her normal self - no mention of the shows ratings or snapping at him for interrupting and he can't remember seeing Ms Agnes being anything other than almost frighteningly focussed even after a long day of shooting... now she looks worn out and the realisation brings his guilt crashing back.

When he speaks again his voice is surprisingly quiet given his usual volume.]

Ms Agnes? Would you like me to take you home?

[The floor is completely quiet, all the lights out except hers. She must have been drifting longer then she thought.

The drop in tone is what finally gets through. Agnes wasn't aware that Sky High had a volume control. It seems no matter what she says, how much she protests, he's not going to feel better until she does. That's unacceptable. Distraction only leads to poor performance. The only thing to do is keep going. The sooner Keith's convinced she's managing, the sooner he can focus on what's important.

Agnes will not be a distraction. She will not be the weak link. She will not.

There's a shake of her head as she reaches for the crutches again.]

I'm just going to call a car.

[As she tries to leverage herself up, her arm seizes with the worst cramp yet. She gets about halfway up before sinking back down.]

[In a flash Keith steps forward and gently scoops her up, taking care not to jostle her as he does so. Her phone is lifted up by a swirling wind and deposited gently in her lap. He's glad he came by - with no one else around who knows what might have happened if Ms Agnes actually fell? She might not have been found till morning! Clearly she's not taking care of herself like she should so he'll have to do it for her.]

I would offer to drive you myself but I always catch public transport.

[It was more environmentally friendly and it seemed appropriate to support his sponsors business as much as he could. And while flying her home would be faster, he didn't have his hero-suit and it might be too rough for her leg travelling like that.]

[It's spoken firmly, with the same solid conviction he has when Sky High is demanding criminals surrender or reassuring a frightened citizen and it's clear this isn't something on which he's going to be moved. Especially not when he shifts her so he can collect her crutches and makes for the door.]
