THE RANDOM SCENARIO MEME 3.0

- Post your character, name, and series in the subject. Include any preferences as well.
- Go to RNG and enter 1-7 for a scene type, and 1-20 for a scene to play out.

TYPE OF SCENE.
① Action → Gun fights, bar brawls, fights to the death are all possible scenarios.
② Angst → Characters suffer emotionally or physically from relationships breaking up, death, injury, etc. Hurt and comfort themes are included.
③ Crack → Genderswaps, super powers, sudden compulsions are all possible outcomes.
④ Fluff → Something that is devoid of angst. It's light-hearted and might have the overtone of romance.
⑤ Gen → General fun, things that didn't fit in the other categories.
⑥ Sex → First times, kinks, even dubcon are all possible themes of sex related scenarios.
⑦ Your choice → Think of your own scenario, choose one of the above or make a combo even!

ACTION.
① Zombies → It's the zombie apocalypse, lock and load!
② Bar brawl → You had one too many drinks, said something wrong, and now you're being asked to take it outside.
③ Chase → You're caught in a high speed chase.
④ Gun fight → You're caught in a big shoot-out.
⑤ Fight with a friend → You're fighting with a friend, all out.
⑥ Interrogation → You're being interrogated for some offense you've done.
⑦ Aliens → Aliens are attacking and you're not going to take your probe laying down!
⑧ Final battle → This is it. The battle that will end all the fighting for you. Will you win? Will you get that peace you want?
⑨ Training → You're not actually fighting, just training for the inevitable.
⑩ No hope → You know this fight has no hope. It's not going to end well for anyone involved, but you can't turn away.
⑪ Sneaking in → You're stealing a diamond or sneaking in to kick some bad guy butt, but whatever it is, you have to practice stealth.
⑫ Blue wire → You're faced with a bomb that needs to be disarmed.
⑬ Fight for honor → You've been disgraced or someone you care about has, so it's time to fight for honour.
⑭ Showdown → Time for a cowboy-style showdown. Whoever draws the fastest wins.
⑮ War → You're caught in the middle of a war here. Remember to keep your chin up and keeping fighting.
⑯ Apocalypse → The apocalypse finally happened and now you're left to scavenge and fight for whatever is left.
⑰ Sabotage → It's time to sabotage someone's plan! How is entirely up to you. Do you set up a bomb in their toilet? Do you double cross them at the last minute?
⑱ Big damn hero → You know you have to handle this one alone, so that means disarming or knocking unconscious the person who wants to join you.
⑲ Fight club → You know the rules... you're in an underground fighting ring and you're fighting with all you've got.
⑳ Threaten → You've just been sent here to rough them up a little, threaten them into behaving.

ANGST.
① Injury / illness → Your character has become injured or ill! To what extent is the mun's choice.
② Last moments → You character has been gravely injured and this is their last chance to say their last words.
③ Depression → Your character is depressed, what actions they take is up to the mun.
④ Betrayed → You character has been betrayed by the other. How do they react?
⑤ Tortured → Your character is being tortured and needs rescuing or at least a sympathetic ear to help him through it.
⑥ Jealousy → Your character is feeling jealous and must deal with it, how will they do it?
⑦ Breakup! → This relationship has gone as far as it can, it's time to breakup.
⑧ Broken → For whatever reason, the character is broken, mentally or or physically.
⑨ Fight → You can't even be in the same room as your friend or lover without arguing anymore.
⑩ Lost → You lost the biggest fight of your life and now all you can do is try to pick up the pieces.
⑪ Worst nightmare → Whatever you fear the most is now real or maybe you're just trapped in a dream together, but whatever it is, it feels too real.
⑫ Addicted → You're addicted to something, alcohol, drugs, sex, whatever. It's destroying your life and you can't do anything to stop it.
⑬ Hurt you → You're being forced to hurt someone you love either by betraying them or even being forced to shout things you don't mean. It's for their own good in the end though.
⑭ Separation → You were forced to leave this person for their own safety and while you've been miserable without them, you really didn't mean to run into them again... maybe it was by accident or you were watching them from afar this whole time.
⑮ Becoming a monster → You are slowly changing, becoming a monster: vampire, zombie, demon, something you can't recover from and no-one can help you.
⑯ Frozen → You are entirely helpless, frozen, to stop some kind of disaster.
⑰ Prison → You were very bad and now it's time to pay the price by turning yourself in or maybe the law just finally caught up to you.
⑱ Fear → You're not sure why, but you are suddenly terrified and you can't deal with it. You need help.
⑲ Hated → You are now hated by the person you loved the most.
⑳ Down and out → You're living on the streets, you've hit rock bottom, and you don't know what to do.

CRACK.
① Sexswap → Uh-oh, you're suddenly the opposite sex!
② Forced confessions → No matter what it is and no matter how hard you resist, you're going to be compelled to spill some deep dark secret!
③ Mind-reading → You've suddenly got the ability to read minds!
④ Animal → You're suddenly part animal or transformed into an animal!
⑤ Awkward pick-up lines → You're compelled to use bad pickup lines on whoever is closest!
⑥ Back in School / Graduated → You're suddenly back in school! Or if you were already in it, you've aged and long since graduated!
⑦ Vampires, werewolves, and zombies, oh my! → You're suddenly a vampire, werewolf, or zombie! Maybe even a demon or a devil, whatever creepy crawly you can think of. What do you do now?
⑧ Ghost → You're suddenly a ghost or at least invisible. What are you going to do with this new ability?
⑨ Awkward conversations → So did you just fart or what? Any conversation goes, as long as it's embarrassing and awkward.
⑩ Crossdressing → For whatever reason, you're suddenly dressed in clothes of the opposite sex.
⑪ Suddenly naked → Oops! Your clothes are suddenly gone.
⑫ Suddenly a kid → You're a kid again! Have fun with that second childhood.
⑬ Fortune cookie → You've suddenly received a note with something that will happen in the future, either precise or vague.
⑭ Super power → And suddenly you're like Superman! Any power goes.
⑮ Bodyswap → Somehow you've changed bodies with the other person.
⑯ Back in time → Somehow, you wound up in the past again. Do you try to correct something or just sit and wait for time to jump? Maybe it jumps to various points in your life or maybe you actually think you're back in the day. Have fun, run wild with the idea!
⑰ To the future → Is it everything you've dreamed? Is it horrible? Whatever happens, you're here to witness what happens to you in the future. Either you take the place of your future self or you're just there to watch. Might cause some confusion if people start seeing double though...
⑱ Angels, mermaids, and fairies! → You're not necessary something dark or evil. You're just something different. How do you deal?
⑲ Locked in a closet → For some reason, you're locked up in a closet with someone else. Do you make nice and try to figure your way out or what?

③ Lost → You're lost and you kind of need help finding your way to where you're going. A little help with directions?
④ Costume party → You're at a costume party, both of you are wearing masks. Do you keep the anonymity or take it off and see whose company you've been enjoying?
⑤ Wrong number → Oops, actually you didn't mean to call that person...
⑥ Drunk → You're already drunk! Drunk dialing, stumbling into someone, showing up unexpected... what type of drunk are you anyway? Aggressive, loving, happy? How does the other react?

[And he's off! A man on a mission!

It was a surprisingly quick trip - as soon as he'd said he was getting coffee for Ms. Agnes the staff had been very helpful and served him right away. One had even patted him on the shoulder sympathetically, saying something about how it was always hardest for the new ones which he'd thanked them for though he hadn't really understood. But now he was back, placing two coffees (so Ms. Agnes didn't need to worry about going down herself if she wanted another!) and a bag with several warm pastries down on her desk.]

Here! I hope I didn't take too long! I thought you might be hungry too and they said you liked these sometimes. I hope it's all to your satisfaction.

[And he'll just stand back and watch attentively, waiting to see if the effort meets with approval.]

[Good, that ought to keep him busy for -

- Two minutes, seven seconds. Well, serves her right for thinking the Hero who can fly could be delayed for very long. Even without the rocket pack.

At a loss for what else to do, Agnes takes a sip and - perfect. Well, she has the baristas trained well enough, certainly, but... Damnnit. Those are cheese danishes. He's right, she's starving. It takes all her willpower to not grab one out of the bag right now. It's weird that he's right. Agnes is supposed to be the one who can read other people. Being on the other end of the attention is disturbing.

Also, Agnes can't shake the impression of a very excited golden retriever. She resists the bizarre urge to pat Keith on the head or something.]

Ah, no - it's - It's fine.

[Effusive praise, considering the source!]

[The dog-like impression is likely not helped by the wide grin that her praise evokes. Or the feeling that if he had a tail it would definitely be wagging right now.]

I'm glad! And again, glad I can help! Is there anything else you need? I don't have anything scheduled this morning so as long as there's not an emergency I can stay and help as long as you need! It's the least I can do.

[Plus the interns seem relieved to have him there. They must be very worried about Ms Agnes too.]

[The interns have no idea who the loud blond guy is, but if he's willing to deal with Agnes he can come back ANYTIME.

Aw, look at Keith saving the day even when he's not trying!

Agnes sneaks a glance at the schedule, and realizes it's true - His whole morning is open. Oh, she is going to EVISCERATE whoever wrote this. They're losing valuable promotion time AND she has no ready excuse to get rid of Sky High.

With a sigh, she finally gives up and takes one of the danishes.]

Least you can do?

[And there goes the cheerful smile, replaced by a look of regret.]

For letting you get hurt. A hero is supposed to protect people and I failed. If I had of done my job properly you wouldn't have gotten hurt. I'm very sorry for letting you down.

[He's certain that if she had of been there with Barnaby and Wild Tiger the criminal would've been apprehended without anyone being hurt.]

[Maybe. Or maybe Tiger would have knocked down the entire building instead of the one wall she was unlucky enough to be next to.]

And that's bothering you.

[Oh no, and he's got such a White Knight complex of COURSE the guilt set in. Agnes takes another sip of coffee. She honestly does not know what to do with this.]

What are you sorry for? I told you to go catch the criminal, and you did. That was your job, Sky High.

[Comfort - noooooot exactly her area of expertise.]

[Good thing he can read between the lines then. Or extrapolate wildly from even monosyllabic answers to hear what he needs to. Whatever works.]

A hero's job is to protect people ma'am. Your safety should have come first. I should've been able to stop him without any injuries. I'm sorry and I'll do anything I can to help you out until you recover!

[Meaning she may be stuck with him for a while if nothing comes up and his sponsors don't have need of him.]

And when you do I can help with your physical therapy too!

[That gets an aggravated sigh.

Sky High may not be the brightest, but once he has an idea in his head there's no shaking him. That determination is what makes him one of the best Heroes. It's an excellent quality. Usually. Agnes is finding it FAR less desirable when it's being applied to her personal life.

She shifts, uncomfortable. Her leg's starting to complain in earnest. Unfortunately, the heavy painkillers are with her purse. Back in her apartment. Oh well. There's aspirin around here somewhere. She'll just tough it out.]

Look. Sky High. There are risks with my job. I'm not happy about this, but it happened. You don't need to have this guilt complex over it!

[Yes, because reasoning with the King of Idealists is DEFINITELY GOING TO WORK.]

But-

[Before he could argue further Keith was distracted by the alert tone as his wristband activated, signalling he was needed for an emergency. Frowning at the message he looked back at Agnes in concern. She'd surely want to be involved in broadcasting whatever was happening but he wasn't sure it was a very good idea for her to try and navigate the cramped control room in her current state. But there was little he could do - he was needed elsewhere.]

Ah. I'm very sorry Ms Agnes but I must go! Mr Cain will be here soon to help you, yes?

[There did seem to be someone coming down the hallway already and there were the interns nearby to help besides so he didn't feel too bad about turning to run out the door, calling over his shoulder-]

Please don't exert yourself too much! I will come see you later!

[Agnes is already hauling herself up.]

Get going!

[The rest of the day passes in a blur. Even on crutches, Agnes is in her element. This is right, this is where she belongs. It's a good one, too - a tech company robbery by some kind of electro-kinetic gang. They hit three different locations, and it takes most of the afternoon before the last of them are brought in.

However, as the day wears on, even the rush of a good job isn't enough to keep going. The aspirin barely makes a dent in the pain. Her arms grow stiff from the unfamiliar position of holding the crutches. The danish and coffee feel like they're a long, long way off.

Finally, Agnes is forced to hand off the wrap-ups to Cain. It's the only concession all day. He wisely keeps his mouth shut, and any sympathetic glances to himself. The trip back to her office is more of a hobble. The plan is to rest a minute, then get out before Sky High can come back and make more of a nuisance of himself.

Sitting down is a mistake. Her arms are cramping so badly she's not sure she'll be able to stand again.]

[It was very satisfying when they finally rounded up all the criminals. All the heroes had been happy if tired after the last one had been caught. They'd done good work and there'd been plenty of points to go around so the sponsors had been happy too.

There had even been talk as they were all changing out of their hero suits of going out to celebrate but Keith had politely excused himself from that. He'd told Ms Agnes he would check on her again and that's what he would do. She might need help getting home and he still had time before he wanted to do his nightly patrol.

Back in his street clothes again he jogs through the halls of Hero TV, stopping in front of her office and knocking before entering. It's really no surprise to see her back at her desk - she always works so hard even when she has every reason to take it easy.]

Ms Agnes? I'm back. I cam back to see how you were doing. How do you feel?

[Agnes jerks up - she hadn't exactly been asleep, just drifting, head propped in her hand.]

What? Fine - Oh, Sky High. Good work today.

[Her tone is more distracted then irritated, at this point. She's just too tired to summon the energy.

The desk is covered in stacks of paper, drafts and memos. All of which require urgent attention. None of which she's touched in the last... thirty minutes? Has she really been sitting here that long? Unfortunately, the rest has not helped relieve any of the pain.]

Thanks and thanks again!

[Despite the cheery repetition of his catchphrase at the praise Keith frowns in concern. She just doesn't seem her normal self - no mention of the shows ratings or snapping at him for interrupting and he can't remember seeing Ms Agnes being anything other than almost frighteningly focussed even after a long day of shooting... now she looks worn out and the realisation brings his guilt crashing back.

When he speaks again his voice is surprisingly quiet given his usual volume.]

Ms Agnes? Would you like me to take you home?

[The floor is completely quiet, all the lights out except hers. She must have been drifting longer then she thought.

Get it together.

The drop in tone is what finally gets through. Agnes wasn't aware that Sky High had a volume control. It seems no matter what she says, how much she protests, he's not going to feel better until she does. That's unacceptable. Distraction only leads to poor performance. The only thing to do is keep going. The sooner Keith's convinced she's managing, the sooner he can focus on what's important.

Agnes will not be a distraction. She will not be the weak link. She will not.

There's a shake of her head as she reaches for the crutches again.]

I'm just going to call a car.

[As she tries to leverage herself up, her arm seizes with the worst cramp yet. She gets about halfway up before sinking back down.]

Shit.

[In a flash Keith steps forward and gently scoops her up, taking care not to jostle her as he does so. Her phone is lifted up by a swirling wind and deposited gently in her lap. He's glad he came by - with no one else around who knows what might have happened if Ms Agnes actually fell? She might not have been found till morning! Clearly she's not taking care of herself like she should so he'll have to do it for her.]

Here. You can call one on the way down.

I would offer to drive you myself but I always catch public transport.

[It was more environmentally friendly and it seemed appropriate to support his sponsors business as much as he could. And while flying her home would be faster, he didn't have his hero-suit and it might be too rough for her leg travelling like that.]

If you call I'll escort you home.

[It's spoken firmly, with the same solid conviction he has when Sky High is demanding criminals surrender or reassuring a frightened citizen and it's clear this isn't something on which he's going to be moved. Especially not when he shifts her so he can collect her crutches and makes for the door.]

What are -

[And she's being lifted up and what the hell.

They're in the hall before she has time to formulate any response. What choice is there, really? She'd exhausted, and it's either let Keith carry her or spend the night in the office. And he's being pretty insistent on the former. Well, it can't be said Agnes doesn't know how to leverage an asset. Giving up, she makes the call.]

This is Agnes - Yes - pickup at the back entrance in two minutes.

[She is not getting Princess-carried out the front doors. The papers would have a FIELD DAY. Even if they haven't got Sky High's identity, enough people in the media know Agnes that they'd pounce on this.

Hanging up, she puts an arm around Keith's neck to help with the balance.]

There. You win. Are you happy now?

[If he's expecting gratitude, it's going to be a long wait. This is humiliating. Thank God the rest of the floor is empty. It's not as if Agnes hasn't been saved by Heroes before. But the heat of the moment is one thing, this is... a lot more familiar. It's been a long time since anyone took a personal interest in her well-being (and they were always trying to get something - an angle, a scoop, some kind of advantage.)

Everyone's got an Agenda. Everyone. Except Keith. He's one of the few people she knows who doesn't operate with some kind of ulterior motive. He might not be capable of having one. He wants to help and that's all.

It's very disconcerting.]

[Heroes don't do what they do for gratitude! And even if he did expect it normally, she had every reason to be unhappy with him so he certainly wasn't expecting it now.]

I would be much happier if you hadn't gotten hurt at all. But I am glad you're letting me help.

[It really doesn't even occur to him that the situation might be embarrassing for her. Ms Agnes needs help. He's providing it. That's all there is to it as far as Keith is concerned. It's not like some of the heroes - namely Wild Tiger - haven't gotten carried about in a similar manner before without it being an issue. But if she's happier going out the back entrance he's not going to object.

He navigates them through the dark halls and down to the rear entrance where the car is waiting without any incidents, letting her feet touch the ground only so he can get the door open and help her inside.]

Good evening sir! Thank you for coming! And thanks again! We're going to Ms. Agnes' home.... I'm afraid I don't know the address though.

[He doesn't even notice the way the driver smirks at that - has been since they first emerged from the building - too busy getting Ms Agnes settled comfortably with her seat-belt done up (it's much safer to wear it, you never know when there could be an accident or a hero destroying the road) and coming around to the other side himself. Once they get moving if Ms Agnes herself isn't happy to talk then he'll turn his attention to befriending the driver and likely end up learning the man's entire life story if it's a long enough trip.]

He has it on file S-Keith.

[It's a short ride, thank goodness. Even in this state, Agnes catches the smirk. Kid's going to be lucky if he's allowed to ride a bike in this town when she's done with him.

Except then Keith somehow gets him talking about how he's trying to pay his way through med school, and how he just proposed to his finaceé, they met at a HeroTV party, and that he really loves this city and this job and isn't it a great night? How all of that can be discussed in three minutes is a mystery. People just open up around Keith.

Agnes lets it go. Besides, the drivers' confidentiality agreements are quite extensive.

They pull up to the rear entrance of Agnes's building, the one off the main drag.]

[And it's back to being carried for Ms Agnes. The driver gets farewelled with considerable well-wishes and a tip to put towards his future then they're heading inside.]

He was very nice, wasn't he? You're nearly home Ms Agnes!

[Following her directions he makes his way through the building, letting her open any doors she has to without once putting her down.

He hasn't ever seen Ms Agnes' home and can't help being curious what it's like. Does she have any pets? Probably not, now that he thinks about it. Which seems like it must get lonely, coming back to an empty home at night but some people don't seem to mind that. But at least tonight she doesn't have to worry about being alone!]

[Agnes doesn't answer. Her leg feels like there are ants crawling down it. No matter how gentle Keith is every movement brings another jolt of pain. She is concentrating very, very hard on not swearing again.

They ride the elevator to one of the highest levels. The locks are all accessed with a security card - fortunately she keeps an extra one with her station ID badge. She swipes it once more at her door and they're finally inside.

The apartment is spacious, all clean lines and modern furniture. The living room has a sliding door to a balcony, with a spectacular view of the city and harbor. The lights bathe the room in gold. They're bright enough to navigate by, until a lamp gets switched on. There are some signs of habitation - a few magazines and newspapers strewn across a coffee table, and running shoes at the door. The forgotten purse hangs on a hook.

Keith is right - no pets. Between her hours and the stress, coming home to one more creature that wants something does not seem appealing at all.]

Now will you put me down?

[She's not exactly in the mood to give the grand tour. The amount of people she's let into her apartment can be counted on one hand.]

[He takes note of the tension, worry returning as he guesses at the cause. He's broken bones before himself so has some idea what she might be going through. And with how hard Ms Agnes must have been pushing herself today it's no wonder she's tired and hurting and unhappy.]

Yes, you need to get some rest.

[Keith places Agnes carefully down on a couch with her legs up and her crutches in easy reach before taking a moment to look around. Under different circumstances he'd stop to take in the view from the balcony - Sternbild is beautiful, especially at night - but he's not there to take in the sights.

Turning towards where he caught a glimpse of the kitchen he glances back her. It's rude to simply invade someone's home and do as he pleases but she does need the help.]

I'll go get you something to drink. Did the doctors give you anything to take?

[If Sky High's presuming to get something that will make the world stop spinning, that is fine with her. Agnes stares out at the city lights, trying not to throw up.]

In the purse.

[As Keith makes his way around the apartment, he might notice the photos on the wall. Mostly framed articles on the various Heroes and HeroTV, but there a few shots of what are probably family members.]

[A few bangs from the kitchen, some careful prodding about in said purse and Agnes is presented with some pills - following the recommendations on the label exactly of course - and a glass of water.]

Here. Once you're feeling better you can tell me what you want for dinner.

[While he waits, kneeling patiently beside her, Keith lets his gaze drift over the pictures curiously. It's funny sometimes how little they all seem to know each other even though they work together every day. He doesn't know if Ms Agnes is close to her family, if she still sees them, where she grew up or even what she does in her free time.]

[It's funny - in a business organized around secret identities, everyone knows more about the Heroes then Agnes. She doesn't welcome prying, and is an expert at deflecting anything personal. Who has time for that? It's always (literally) one crisis after another!

Still, it's not as if Keith's a stranger or just a co-worker. He's... who knows what. So, if he asked, he might get some answers. Maybe.

Right now Agnes focuses on keeping the pills down. Gradually the pain recedes to background static. It's not gone, just tolerable. Her head clears a little, and the whole day begins to sink in. Especially the last hour or so. Taking a deep breath, she manages to sit up straighter and looks at Keith.]

Anytime Ms Agnes. You do so much for us, it's a pleasure to be able to support you in return.

[He takes the glass back and sets it aside before glancing at the photos again.]

Do you get to see them much?

He may be one of the few who will stand up to her. Though it's less bravery more blond
