There are flowers, and an incredibly apologetic Peter because he'd been looking forward to this for the longest time, and he's sorry, he's so sorry, Jazmine, there was an errand he just had to run(and he has to move a little slower than usual, because hey, cracked ribs are not a joy but he'd heal, just give him a little time, yeah?) for Aunt May and he wasn't blowing her off.

He also supposes that he's perfected the puppy eyes because things go quite well after that, and he finally gets to walk her home, and he doesn't give a shit about what happened in the first half of the evening before Jazmine Becket because he's practically floating now, and it's not a stretch to say that she's kind of sort of the girl of his dreams and he's amazed that she hasn't kicked him to the curb yet.

When they pause at her door, that's what things get just a little awkward. So. Uh. ] ...I had a really good time tonight.

With the world back to basics and all norms turned on its head, all bets are off; and so is the norm of interpersonal relationships.

They were talking about further modifying the engines, and the potential of fortifying the vehicle (that one was Raleigh's idea; he'd always been very good with his hands), and she doesn't know who started it, only that there's a longing under her skin that she's entertained for the longest time, and it starts and ends with the two Becket brothers. Doesn't matter who started it, who gave in to the tension first, because she's leaning forward to kiss him, perched on the hood of Gipsy Danger with him between her knees, a hand cradling the back of his head to keep him there.

It's a warm kiss, tentative, and his lips feel so sinfully good against her that she lingers, her heart pounding in her chest. And oh, she hopes, she hopes that she didn't just fuck this up. ]
