Death is a familiar thing when it comes to being a Winchester, and Dean was looking to meet up with Death again to see if he can get some questions about Sam's condition.

Sure, he wasn't expecting the guy to help, but it is worth a shot. Of course, this time it might be permanent if Tess' boss is upset about Ezekiel's plan but that's beside the point. Dean took the easy way out, and he took a walk into traffic only to be ran over by a kid in a Prius.

Embarrassing. He's not in Kansas, he's dead, and he's being kissed. This is definitely a good thing to wake up to. His eyes open, and Dean looks up with a half smile on his face as he stirs. "Hey Tess. I didn't expect to see you here..." He mutters, he slowly pushes himself up into a sitting position, and he glances down at his jeans with an embarrassed look on his face. "And it's not what you think it is, I was looking for a quick way to have a sit down with your boss."

Rocking back onto her heels, the reaper looks at him curiously, "Since the pair of you and the trail you leave behind became my permanent assignment, I am here more often than you know," her cheek pinched into a grin. She got to see them in many compromising situations and hauled off those they killed. "What do you want with my father?"

Dean reaches his hand up to push Tessa's hand aside, and he remains there sitting on the wet pavement despite the fact his jeans are wet and his ass is cold. "It has something to do with Sam, and a little get together the two of them had together."

He shuts up to give himself a once over, and he glances back over to Tessa with a look of worry on his face. “Sorry to sound a bit stand offish, and it is really, really, I mean really nice to see you again.”

Tessa shrugs, when isn't Dean 'standoffish'. "Since I am the one to make the deliveries of your souls to the gates, before you are miraculously pulled back, of course, I was...concerned when my father decided to speak with Sam personally."

Rising, she holds out her hand to help him up. "But he's not here Dean, so I would guess that someone's going to pull you back too or Death's not concerned."

Dean takes the hand that she's offering him, and he stands back up slowly to his feet. He dusts himself off, and he takes a good look at his wet jeans. "Dammit." He grumbles to himself, but there's little to be done about that and it isn't what he's thinking about the most.

"Sam won't say anything about what happened, but I was wondering if there was anything floating around the gossip mill around these parts. But it seems my guess, is just as good as any." Dean slips his hands into his pockets, and he shifts his weight around on his feet. "Guess I might want to make the best of my time here, while I wait to be reaped or tossed back out on my ass again."

"He was perturbed when he left, but my father hardly shows emotion. Once upon a time, I saw him when he was chained and boxed up and he looked bored if anything. As for rumors, that angel could tell you more than you and I observed on the outside." Yes, she knows that much.

"As for your short wait, you could learn something this time," her fingers flicked to his soaked pants. "Your body is exactly as you see yourself mentally. Imagine that you are dry or if that is too difficult, that you are wearing a different shirt." With a slight bit of concentration, her white blouse shifts through shades of grey until it is black.
