Truth or dare games were never a favourite of Rabastan's, but when there was nothing else to do in the Slytherin Common Room, sometimes one got roped into it. Being honest about one's self in front of a group of Slytherins was also a bad idea, so he had opted for dare, in hopes that it would be something mundane and simple so they'd move past him.

Find a prefect, and make every attempt to kiss them, despite how many points might be lost, or how many detentions one might receive. He was lucky to find Lily, first, although maybe he had hunted about. There was some members he wouldn't kiss if his life depended on it.

Mudbloods? Meh. The dare was a perfect excuse to get away with it.

[ initially, she sought him out to put an end to the rumor that she was his personal orion slave girl. the rumors didn't usually get to her. she'd been prepared to deal with them since before she even stepped foot on terran soil, knowing the reputation her people had with other species was going to stir them up the moment she arrived at the academy. this particular rumor, however, was doing damage to her academic reputation and that was unacceptable. she could deal with the blows to her personal life, but her professional one? nope.

but then he turned out to be really nice, and not at all like his own series of rumors made him out to be. despite her better judgement (and the "support" it would lend to the rumor that the only reason she was receiving top marks in the hand-to-hand combat course she was currently kicking ass in and making other cadets look like first year students was because he was an assistant instructor and she was being graded on her skills in the bedroom, not the classroom), she decided to give him a chance and agreed to go out with him. ]

You know, this is actually the first real date I've been on. Most people I "go out with" just want to jump straight to the sex part and assume I'm only interested in copulating with them. Not that I don't, but this is nice, too. Different. Definitely a courtship ritual I could get used to taking part in.
