scenarios;

① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.

② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?

③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.

④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!

⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.

⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.

"Yeah, well, it's the kind of thing you have to see to believe, right? Not like if I'd come up to you and told you any of it that you would have believed me. I mean, come on, Lyndon." He sipped at his drink, still not looking at the boy on his couch.

[adamo]

Then, after he took a sip, he went for the truth though he knew it wasn't the nicest thing to ask but he just wanted to see if Stiles would look at him.

"Did you think I was the killer, too?"

[teenyoda]

He did look up at that, meeting Lyndon's gaze with his own. "No. I was probably the only one who didn't, but no."

[adamo]

He exhaled. It was the answer he wanted to hear. The one he needed to hear. "Good then. That's a start. So then why, if you thought someone was a killer, did you not come to me for help?"

[teenyoda]

"See previous answer about why would you believe any of it. Besides," he looked down at his cup, "I was trying to keep you out of it. We all were."

[adamo]

"I knew something was wrong, Stiles. I'm not stupid. Far from it." As well Stiles knew. He was one of the few that had ever noticed. "I... thank you for trying to protect me from the truth but I could have helped you."

[teenyoda]

"I know you're not, Lyndon. I just-- It was difficult, okay? It's not like we could just run around telling everyone. You know how hard it is not to tell my dad? And he needs to know this stuff. But it's also dangerous and I don't know if telling him is going to be what gets him killed or not."

[adamo]

"You would have solved it sooner with me," he said, offering a wide smile in an attempt to diffuse the situation. The truth was, despite the talk with Alan, he had no idea just how to handle this.

"As someone that has been left out, this could get him killed anyway. Knowing could help. Of course, knowing hasn't helped people from being attacked," he pointed out, his hand going to his side.

[teenyoda]

He saw the move of the hand and frowned. "You know... I wouldn't have a problem going and lacing Peter's shampoo with wolfsbane."

He was still pissed at the ex-Alpha over that. Like, really pissed. Like, wanted to stab him in the eye pissed.

[adamo]

He caught that look, and knew it wasn't much different from his own. He shook his head though, moving his hand away from his hip. "I don't want that on your conscience. If I won't do it, I won't put you through that either."

Not that he didn't think Stiles was capable of it. Far from it.

[teenyoda]

"My conscious can take a bit of a load." Hey, he was morally dubious at the best of times and he knew that. But he sat back, tucking the blanket in around him. "So, um... not that I don't appreciate it, but what prompted this little visit?"

[adamo]

Now that was the million dollar question, and one that he didn't want to answer right out. "Someone got me thinking about the past few years, and the changes in my life right now and you came up in the course of the conversation. So today, with the snow and all, I thought I'd come over. I thought about calling but then realized that would ruin the surprise."

[teenyoda]

"I came up? In one of your conversations?" That surprised him. Well, not so much. That he'd come up wasn't the surprise. That he'd come up and the end result had been an impromptu visit was. A visit with cocoa. "Um, do you want one of the blankets? I don't know how cold you are, but I'm still freezing."

Scrawny people felt the cold more.

[adamo]

"I suppose I can see what that's surprising but you've made an impression on those I call friends," he pointed out, not making any secret of who he'd been discussing Stiles with.

He nodded. "I wouldn't mind a blanket, though I'm curious about something." He took a breath. "What would you say looks best on me?" He couldn't take Stiles with me if he didn't have taste enough for it.

[teenyoda]

"What looks best on you? In what way? What are my options?" He sipped at the cocoa again, mentally making a mmm sound at the creamy chocolate.

[adamo]

"If I were to take you with me shopping, to help me with my wardrobe, and you picked out something, what would it be," he asked, wanting to know if Stiles had any bit of taste.

[teenyoda]

"Oh. Uh... I don't... have a clue?" Stiles' taste ran to 'whatever was clean' from his room. As far as for what Lyndon wore, he figured whatever looked good on him was probably expensive.

[adamo]

He chuckled, not upset but amused. "Someone suggested I take you with me. So I couldn't help but be curious how your tastes ran."

[teenyoda]

He let out a weak laugh. "You've seen how I dress. That's where my tastes lie, but I've always liked what you've worn. It looks good."

[adamo]

"To be honest, Stiles, we both know you've made it obvious you like what I wear," he said, voice teasing and light, flirting even.

[teenyoda]

He blushed, eyes dropping back down to his cup as he smiled a little. "Yeah, well... it looks good."

[adamo]

"It's nice to be appreciated," he admitted softly. "Especially lately when it doesn't seem that many do." The last he hadn't even meant to say, a thought that came to him too often but there it was, out and in the open.

[teenyoda]

"That's just crazy. Everyone notices what you wear. Half the kids at school use you as their personal fashion guide."

[adamo]

He looked to Stiles. "Not just talking in a fashion sense kind of way, but thank you." And this was another road he hadn't expected to go down. "I was talking more of people that know me and didn't appreciate what I did for them enough." Like Jackson. He's speaking directly of he who shall not be named.

[teenyoda]

"Oh. Well... some people are assholes." He was perfectly fine with insulting Jackson. He'd do it to his face if he could. Asshole.
