let me dream

❄ it's quiet
and the snow's beautiful tonight → a winter open meme
snowfall;
stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white.
stage ii; very light and intermittent.
stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods.
stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall.
stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it.
scenarios;
① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.
② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?
③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.
④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!
⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.
⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.
⑦ mix and match, or make up your own.- from krystaliske @ memebells

He shifted, straightening where he was sitting there against the corner of the couch. "Do you know I never told him I was bitten? Never seemed the right time, and I still never was certain how much of what I remembered was him actually treating me like that or if it was ... If it was someone else in my head." He just didn't like saying his name. It was enough thinking about what happened that night on the field.
"How long did you stay there at the hospital?"
no subject
The question had him looking back down at his mug. "Um, until you left it."

It still was a confusing point that Jackson had become the kanima, and Scott the wolf he was, but Lyndon had just... stayed Lyndon. It still confused him, and he hated being confused.
"Why?" He blurted out the question before he could stop himself. Yet now he wondered so much more about Stiles and that night. "Why would you put yourself through that?" He knew he answer. Everyone knew the answer but he wanted to hear how Stilinski worded it. Not because he wanted to hear him say it but because he knew how he'd treated him and how he'd treat someone that treated him that way. Except Jackson.

He shrugged. "You know why. It's why I went with Peter instead of bringing you in myself."
no subject
"And this is why my focus now is on distractions and not dating," he said, rolling his eyes before shifting to look at Stiles.
"Because you were suicidal?" Yet he knew that wasn't the answer, even if he was avoiding the truth. A truth that Alan had used directing him there that day.
no subject
Maybe.
"Could be." But he looked back down at the his mug before lifting it for a sip of the cooling drink.

Again he rolled his eyes, giving Stiles a look. "That's not even funny. Not with him and what he could have done to you." He snorted, and the memories of those moments with Peter in his head came back to Lyndon. Those words riding on the talk of Jackson knowing and abandoning him left his chest tight.
God but he hated how easily those two bastards could ruin his mood.
"Come on. Get up. Get dressed. Whatever you need to do to go out. I need to go shopping or something."
no subject
He might need to work on those. A lot.
no subject
"Can I lure you out with promise of an electric blanket? I'm not above bribing you for a distraction." Though as he said the word, he thought of the way he and Alan used it, how he'd just used it with Stiles. Not what he'd been thinking, especially since he didn't bribe guys for that.

And he planned to. If only because it meant not thinking about his talks with Alan, and about what had happened on that field, and men whose name he wasn't going to dwell on.

He called that back as he ran up the stairs, heading in to get dressed in more layers than usual. Way more layers. He came down bundled up like a snowman, complete with three pairs of socks on. His feet were still cold, okay?
"Okay, okay. If we're going to go, let's go. Your car or mine?"
no subject
He glanced up when Stiles came back, looking him over slowly. "When are you going to do when you have to take a leak," he asked, thinking about a child and snow play. He smiled though. "Let's take mine. Likely to be warmer, after all."

He wasn't trying to sound cruel, not like the usual ways he might tease Stiles.
no subject
"Come on."
no subject
He knew he was asking a lot, and part of him had been curious to see what Stiles' reaction would be to the request. Smiling, he slipped past the other boy, brushing deliberately against him as he did. "Not long at all. Promise to make it worth your while."
And with that he was heading down the walk to his car.

"Hot chocolate at the mall?"
no subject
"Sure. If you want. I'll even get you a cake pop if you want," he said, definitely playing with him.
