let me dream

❄ it's quiet
and the snow's beautiful tonight → a winter open meme
snowfall;
stage i; none, streets are already blanketed in white.
stage ii; very light and intermittent.
stage iii; light - moderate. lasts longer periods.
stage iv; continuous, heavy snowfall.
stage v; the hardest of cores - blizzards, snowstorms, you name it.
scenarios;
① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.
② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?
③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.
④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!
⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.
⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.
⑦ mix and match, or make up your own.- from krystaliske @ memebells

Not that he didn't think Stiles was capable of it. Far from it.

Now that was the million dollar question, and one that he didn't want to answer right out. "Someone got me thinking about the past few years, and the changes in my life right now and you came up in the course of the conversation. So today, with the snow and all, I thought I'd come over. I thought about calling but then realized that would ruin the surprise."

Scrawny people felt the cold more.

He nodded. "I wouldn't mind a blanket, though I'm curious about something." He took a breath. "What would you say looks best on me?" He couldn't take Stiles with me if he didn't have taste enough for it.

"It's nice to be appreciated," he admitted softly. "Especially lately when it doesn't seem that many do." The last he hadn't even meant to say, a thought that came to him too often but there it was, out and in the open.

He looked to Stiles. "Not just talking in a fashion sense kind of way, but thank you." And this was another road he hadn't expected to go down. "I was talking more of people that know me and didn't appreciate what I did for them enough." Like Jackson. He's speaking directly of he who shall not be named.

"That isn't something that changed since I started dating him,' he said with a chuckle. "He was always an asshole."

Though he wasn't even sure why he was defending Jackson, why he couldn't bring himself to stop doing that.

He shifted, straightening where he was sitting there against the corner of the couch. "Do you know I never told him I was bitten? Never seemed the right time, and I still never was certain how much of what I remembered was him actually treating me like that or if it was ... If it was someone else in my head." He just didn't like saying his name. It was enough thinking about what happened that night on the field.
"How long did you stay there at the hospital?"

The question had him looking back down at his mug. "Um, until you left it."

It still was a confusing point that Jackson had become the kanima, and Scott the wolf he was, but Lyndon had just... stayed Lyndon. It still confused him, and he hated being confused.
"Why?" He blurted out the question before he could stop himself. Yet now he wondered so much more about Stiles and that night. "Why would you put yourself through that?" He knew he answer. Everyone knew the answer but he wanted to hear how Stilinski worded it. Not because he wanted to hear him say it but because he knew how he'd treated him and how he'd treat someone that treated him that way. Except Jackson.
