"Can You Handle Your Emotions?"

Emotions are... eh. We all have them, whether we want to or not. Some people have control over their emotions, and some people let their emotions control them. Where does your character fall on this spectrum? More importantly, what's their relationship with their emotions like? Do they bury everything deep, deep down inside, or are they the first one to cry over a sappy movie? Do they even know how they feel about what's going on inside? Pretty meta stuff.

No blank top-levels.
Instead, characters are to respond to the proposed question: can you handle your emotions? / are you in touch with your feelings?
Get deep. Look within. Hear, think feel... or don't.

For the most part, I think the answer to both is a resounding yes. I'm a pretty emotional individual, and my passions run pretty high by default, but I don't let them completely rule me.

Even if emotions sometimes make things complicated.

Am I in touch with my feelings? Are you kidding?

[He crosses his arms, sneering a little.]

Well, I like to think I do, and that I know myself pretty well. ...mm... although, I suppose they can be a bit surprising, sometimes. I certainly prefer to accept and learn from them, but of course there are times that's easier said than done for everybody, ne?

I have enough tragedy to sink a ship so repression is the name of the game, baby.

Of course I can handle my emotions. More importantly, I control them.

All things considered I think I'm actually pretty damn well adjusted? Kinda had to figure it out on my own and I ... mostly ... can function in society and don't have nervous breakdowns on the reg. Call it a win.

I'm an elite athlete at the top of my game. Of course I can handle my emotions. You bring those into a game with you and you've given your opponent an immediate advantage [ which is to say: he's had years of practice at repression and denial, so-- ]

Am I in touch fully with my emotions... no, not really? Yes, my frontal lobe isn't fully developed yet and all of that but, still. I've always been... sensitive, I guess is the word. And I don't particularly like being that way, either, but I'm not sure how you stop.

That depends entirely on your definition of "handle." Let's just say they're either switched on at 100% or turned off at 0% most of the time.

Emotions? Aiya, I spent my past life being so full of such strong, negative ones, I think I'm done with acknowledging strong emotions for now.

Actually, I'm still quite emotional, I cry sometimes. It's embarrassing.

Of course I can! I can hardly do my job if I'm not in control of myself.

I wouldn't have lasted this long without getting a very strong grip on my emotions.

I'm perfectly fine and always in control of my emotions.

Except when I need a break and something interferes with my ability to take that break. [No one has rage like a stressed man deprived of his moment of chill.]

Otherwise, I am very centered.

I'm gonna say . . . mostly?

I have my bad moments. Which end badly for others.
