The sound of the waves washing in and out, the warmth of the sun as it shined down upon you, the smell of the ocean in the air. A trip to the Beach could always be fun and relaxing. Maybe you want to join a game of Beach volleyball or head out in the ocean and swim? There is always the option of catching a wave or two if you know how to surf. And if you don’t know how? Maybe you want to learn.

There are quite a few activities you can do while you are at the Beach. Though sometimes nothing beats just laying down and relaxing in the sun. But don’t forget to put on sunscreen to protect your skin! And for those hard to reach places, why not ask for a little helping hand.

[ The ocean. The beautiful, relaxing ocean and tropical beach front. How long did Shepard dream of getting to take her vacation here? It was a longtime dream and it finally came true. The weather was perfect, the temperature was just right and the water was refreshing. Words couldn't even begin to describe how ecstatic she is.

Shepard waded out in the shallows in her black N7 striped bikini with a wide brimmed sunhat sitting on her head. The water was crystal clear and the sand was so white. Waves crashed against her thighs and hips as she moved about and such a smile graced her lips that hasn't faltered since they got there. Yes, this was most definitely a perfect paradise. ]

To say that Haru's favorite thing about summer is swimming in the sea would be a bit like saying that waves have a tendency to be slightly damp. To say that summer is Haru's favorite time of year because he gets to swim in the sea would at least have the benefit of marginally greater accuracy. It still wouldn't capture the full weight of all those winter months spent pining for some open expanse of water when the closest to swimming he gets is his daily soak in his bathtub.

So now that he's got the chance, he's going to use every minute of it. And he's a good strong swimmer, too, so there's no cause for him to stay near the shore. Today, he's set his sights on a tiny island--little more than a scrap of sand and a few trees--a fair distance from the mainland. It will make a good place to rest for a while before heading back and he'll get some good quiet time on his own.

About half way there he pauses, though, turning and treading water as he looks back toward the beach in the distance, appreciating the view and the gentle sounds of the sea around him. It's then that he catches a glimpse of a shadow moving down below the surface. He can't quite make out what it is--not a fish, he doesn't think. It doesn't seem to be moving right for that.

How curious. Perhaps he'll just tread water here and watch it for a while.

Feda had always loved the beach. He felt at home in and near water, sun bathed religiously anyway and he often got the chance to show off.

Feda could be found in several places on the beach, kitted up in nothing more than a dark red speedo during most of the day. He spent most of his time lazing about under the sun, but when he felt too hot he'd often swim about energetically, being careful not to go too fast. Keeping it below the level of an Olympic athlete at the least.

Being the sort of guy he was though, he always had an eye open for the other reason he loved the beach. Girls in much less clothing than anywhere else. Staring and sometimes outright drooling was fun.

A lot had changed about Feda over ten years, but not his attitude to the beach. Sure, he had traded in the speedo for a black thong (being much more confident these days, and he was hardly shy in the past) and sometimes he when he swam he paused to float around on the back of a giant turtle he'd summoned, but otherwise he was much the same.

Truth of the matter was this: the Bebop had drifted out here by the grace of God on a tank that was almost empty. And barring the sudden and miraculous appearance of a worthwhile bounty falling into his lap, Spike was going to have to be creative to snag himself a meal.

First things first, though. He dug a cigarette out of his pocket and put it in his mouth. He flicked his lighter once, twice. Naturally, nothing happened. Yep. Just his luck.

A vacation sounded like something pretty close to heaven for Blaine. He was on break from school, and while he didn't want to blow off his friends who all had plans for the summer break, he really just wanted to get away.

So he bought a plane ticket and went to the first place that he knew had a warm climate and lots of beaches. And once he got there, he just spent his days reclining on a mat on the sand and reading.

It was really perfect, and he found himself wishing he could just stay there forever.

The beach was never a terrible idea, in the Seer's humble opinion, and while she was one of those types who never tanned, she enjoyed being in the sun and the general atmosphere of the beach. She wore a clingy, one piece bathing suit with a lightning pattern, high cut for the legs, and showing off the runic tattoos that created patterns along her outer-thighs.

For the moment, she was lounging on her stomach, wearing sunglasses and sipping a drink while alternating between people-watching, and reading the trashy novel she brought with her.

[The beach in summertime is definitely a place Dick likes to be. There's music, barbeques with hamburgers, hot dogs, and tons of other good things, sand castle building, swimming. All things he enjoys doing when they're not busy trying to save the world and shit.

He alternates between a few things, swimming, grabbing a bite to eat, or just lounging on a beach towel under the sun. Today's a day off, and he wants to make the most of it.]

Asura wasn't a fan of the sun. Although his body rejected UV rays automatically, hot days made him uncomfortable. For the simple reason he liked it cold and dark, not for physical reasons. But he had to stick around for a few reasons. Which meant making the most of it. Sitting in a cabana, he was indulging in some gluttony to try and cheer up the mood dampened by the same atmosphere that would raised other people's spirits. Laying on his stomach, a blindfold over his eyes to keep the sun from them, he scooped ice cream into his mouth slowly but steadily, watching people going by.

Out of boredom, he decided to take a scoop, hook the spoon on a finger and catapult a splodge of sweetness out. Maybe he was aiming for someone, maybe he wasn't. Either way the sound of surprise made him grin.

Night was more Asura's scene. So much so he was taking a stroll across the sand under the silver light of the moon, at just the right distance from the tide that water brushed against his bare feet every few seconds. Every indent he left in the sand caused the grains to swirl and rearrange into a trail of eye symbols.

Spotting a fellow night traveller, Asura's curiosity rose. Using his rather terrifying talent of appearing when one least expected it, the three eyed man was suddenly just there beside them. "Nice night, isn't it?"

Raz eye's widen as he slowly turns his head. He's used to being around some pretty eccentric people, but it isn't often someone gets the drop on him so easily.

"Uh yeah, it's pretty."

Maybe that's partially his fault for paying so much attention to the water. Just being this close was already too risky... In fact, looking at it now, he's going to take a few more steps back. The tideline is just too unpredictable

"Ouch!" Umi hopped from foot to foot on the hot sand in a rather undignified manner, trying to keep the heat from baking the soles of her feet. "Fuu, do you have the towels? This beach is trying to barbecue me!"

She didn't remember whose idea it had been to meet somewhere other than Tokyo Tower -- probably Hikaru's, which was kind of ironic since Hikaru herself had had to pull out at the last minute. Not that she minded hanging out with Fuu, of course! It just wasn't too often that they were together and on Earth and also not on their way to Cephiro.

It seemed strange to only have the two of them here. Fuu had grown quite used to being part of a trio--without Hikaru, things didn't seem quite balanced. And Hikaru's absence was very noticeable. "Did you bring sunscreen?" she asked, sitting down.

[It's a bit hard to tell if he even knew Hange was also present. While certainly rare, he wasn't exactly paying attention to it at this very moment.

What was true, though, was the fact that his feet were sinking into the wet sand, just so far in that there was a constant - even if only an inch or two - layer of water at his ankles. His pants were rolled up as were his sleeves, and the only sign of any gear was a number of feet back on his towel; a testament of never knowing anything but wanting (needing) to be forever prepared to act on second's notice. . . Even though that might just be the last necessity in this place. The sand itself was on the irritating side as a whole, as it got into and clung to everything, but honestly, that wasn't at the forefront of Levi's thoughts.

Rather, it was the endless horizon. It was the brilliant blue, and even the carelessness of whoever else was around. A different kind of fearless, maybe, although the concept was edging on foreign even right now.

Freedom had an interesting, though not entirely unpleasant taste, and Levi wasn't sure yet how he should handle it.]

That's not strictly true. The weather is lovely, the sound of the waves lapping the shore as soothing as advertised. But in a pair of swimming trunks and a plain white undershirt, he can't help feeling exposed. True, outside of dreams, his clothing isn't quite as couture -- it's really only servicable, if nice -- but it's not this. He usually has layers.

This is awkward. He's acutely aware of the fact that his knees are too knobby, he's scrawny. And he does not have body issues.

He's just pissy because it's the fourth time he's had to reapply his sunscreen today, and he's burning anyway. He can feel it on the back of his neck.]

Herc is really amazed, sometimes, by how easy it is to come up with reasons to avoid doing work.

He's scheduled a meet and greet with the new Marshal of the Sydney Shatterdome, which means, naturally, he needs to go to Sydney. And who better than to take with him but his star pilot and engineer Mako Mori?

If they planned their trip to take a day longer than it really should, well, nobody is going to call them out on it.

The beach is mostly deserted; even Australians and their cavalier attitude towards danger haven't really overcome the terror that the ocean now brings up for most people. But they're not wholly alone, there are a few surfers dotting the waves here and there, a handful of colorful towels spread out across the beach with people lounging around on them.

He's got them both their boards, tucked one under each arm, and is leading the way down to the beach.

Mako is trotting after him, loose cover up hiding her bathing suit clad frame for the time being. She's been looking forward to this and honestly, it couldn't have been timed any better. These days the Hong Kong 'dome could be stifling and thick with memories - to be somewhere else, somewhere new was exciting and not just a little refreshing.
