Life's a beach.

The sound of the waves washing in and out, the warmth of the sun as it shined down upon you, the smell of the ocean in the air. A trip to the Beach could always be fun and relaxing. Maybe you want to join a game of Beach volleyball or head out in the ocean and swim? There is always the option of catching a wave or two if you know how to surf. And if you don’t know how? Maybe you want to learn.
There are quite a few activities you can do while you are at the Beach. Though sometimes nothing beats just laying down and relaxing in the sun. But don’t forget to put on sunscreen to protect your skin! And for those hard to reach places, why not ask for a little helping hand.
[ooc: Open post for all! Set up your post however you want. Put up multiple scenarios, leave it blank, ect. Add a picture of what their swimwear is too if you like. Have fun! Ganked from this spot here.

But they don't have one more night, and he reluctantly makes himself pull back, just enough that he can bump her nose with his.
"We should probably head back soon," he says reluctantly, stroking her wet hair off her forehead.
no subject
Seems like their life sometimes - 'if we just had one more night...'
"Probably," she says breathlessly, her hands settling on his hips, fingers dimpling into his skin.
"I don't want to."
no subject
"Me neither," he confesses, pressing his lips fleetingly against hers again.

She prolongs it as long as he'll let her, then sighs and lets her head rest back against the sand. She's going to need a shower before she gets on a plane.
"Someday, we will come back."
She's firm on this.
"And we will stay as long as we like."
no subject
"Someday we might even retire completely," he says, sounding somewhat skeptical but also like he really hopes it comes true.
"And we'd be able to buy a real house."
no subject
"I would like that," she says quietly, hand searching to locate his so that their fingers can thread together.
"Here? Or somewhere else?"
no subject
He thinks about it for a moment, stroking his thumb over her hand, dislodging the sand drying on her skin.
"Maybe not Sydney," he finally admits, feeling his heart constrict with the idea of settling down where he used to live. It seems disrespectful to his old life.
"Melbourne is nice, though. And there's always New Zealand if you wanted less sand and more sheep."
no subject
She understands. She's not sure how she would feel about settling in Japan, either.
"I have never been to either." She squeezes his hand.
"We visit first, then decide?"
no subject
"Yeah, we can visit New Zealand," he agrees, turning his head a little to look at her instead of the clouds.
"It's got some really beautiful scenery," he continues. "Filmed a whole bunch of movies there, I don't know if you've seen any of them. Really striking, though." Of course, he's always going to be partial to the Australian Outback, but that's just because he's an Aussie boy through and through and there's nothing he likes more than golden sand and blue seas and harsh, red dirt.
no subject
She tips her head to look at him and she smiles, eyes crinkling around the edges.
"That would be nice, too." She probably hasn't seen the movies, though. Maybe when they retire, they can do that together, too.
no subject
She's so beautiful.
"Where do you want to go?" he asks, instead of pointing out the obvious. "We've only done things I've thought of. What about you?"
no subject
Mako wrinkles her nose a little bit and relaxes in the sand.
"The war has been so long, so all encompassing...I never thought about where I would go when it was finished." She squeezes his hand.
"I would like to take you to Japan. Have you ever been?"
no subject
He can fully sympathize with her on that one. He was pretty certain he was going to die fighting the Kaiju; he had made absolutely no plans to do anything else after.
"I've been to Okinawa and Nagasaki, but nowhere else. And only for work, I never managed to see the cities at all, let alone the countryside."
no subject
"I will take you to the area I was born. It was not in the city...I think you would like it."
The countryside of Japan really was breathtaking - he'd like it, she thinks, and she'd like him to see where she was born.
no subject
"I'd like that a lot, love," he murmurs, oddly touched.
"One day I'll bring you up to Darwin, let you see the cattle ranches my family used to own. You've never seen so many steers in one place, I can guarantee you that."
no subject
"I would like that, too."
It all sounds like a dream - retirement, visiting places important to each of them.
She hopes they can make it a reality, some day.
Maybe when he's finally proud to call her his.
no subject
He's already proud. He's just stupid, and that's going to make life difficult for them down the road.
Lying side by side and watching the clouds drift overhead manages to pass the time remarkably well, but pretty soon Hercules sighs and forces himself up to a sitting position.
"We need to return the boards and head back to base," he says, regretful. "I only have the car for so long and I don't know if our flight is going to wait for us."
no subject
She's equally regretful, but she sighs and sits up along with him, wishing that they could just stay here forever.
"Probably not."
Or, well -- it might, but no one would be happy about it.
no subject
He levers himself up to his feet and reaches down to help her up, taking a moment to brush her off which is really just an excuse to feel her up.
"Alright, let's go turn in these boards and get changed. We have a long flight ahead of us."
no subject
"Okay. Lead the way, Marshal."
no subject
Not having his hands all over her is really a tragedy, but Hercules finds it in himself somehow to carry on. He helps her haul her board back to the rental stand they found them at, then lets her take first shower at the little changing huts adjacent to it. As much as he would love to join her, public indecency laws as well as their time constraints have him holding himself in check.
Sadly.
Sentimental fool that he is, Herc manages to hold Mako's hand as they drive, only letting go when he has to change gears, then finding hers again and curling his fingers around hers. Too bad there was no photobooth down on the beach.
