Let's hope you're not squeamish. Even if you are, you're going to have to power through it, because your crush, significant other, lover, or fellow practitioner in romantic tension has been battered and bruised. The degree of severity, from a minor scrape to a life-threatening injury, can vary, as can the reason - they may even be hurt because of you. If that's the case, you have all the more reason to tend to their wounds with your own two hands.

No one can take care of them like you can.

Bust out the bandages, even if they don't want you to worry over them or can't believe that anyone would. Though it's not your intention, if you're genre savvy, you may know that your best Florence Nightingale may be the final push if you're not together-together.

That's assuming if you both don't pass out from botched first aide before any of that happens. Don't forget that a kiss to make it better is critical!

Remy hadn't been joking when he'd told Scott a while back that he had a sense of self-preservation. He absolutely did.

The thing was that it often got overruled by his head and his heart and doing the right thing.

Which was how he found himself using his bo staff to keep himself upright, his other arm crossed over his stomach to press his hand against his side. He bent his head, taking a few breaths through gritted teeth as he tried to force himself to keep moving forward. The rest of the team was around here somewhere, after all, and he'd feel better for getting back on the Blackbird.

Evaris is a Reaver, meaning in a fight he's constantly losing health, inflicting damage on himself, and skirting ever closer to well... death. Got to be a headache for any healer tasked to keep him conscious, right?

[ It takes adjustment, Aoba realises. Noiz's regained sense of feeling after the events of Platinum Jail. For the most part, Noiz seems to be taking it well, taking it slow, and Aoba's done his best to help him ease into it-- in more ways than one. Anyway, following Noiz's release from the hospital, Aoba's curiosity and desire to be helpful gets the better of him. He insists on accompanying Noiz to his apartment (he's never been), bringing with him a container full of Tae's nikujaga for both of them to eat.

While he's on the hunt for a clean pot to reheat the soup in, he leaves Noiz to his own devices. The doctors claim Noiz to be back to just about 100%-- but to take it easy, and Aoba, in all his worrywart glory, takes it upon himself to make sure he does just that. But it should be fine to take his eyes off of him for a few minutes, right? ]

You know you have enough knives to supply a butcher shop in here, but I can't find a single pot? What'd you do with all of them?

When he woke up he'd find himself tucked away into a corner of an alley with his head on the lap of a rather disheveled looking young woman. She was talking quietly to a small circle of children. "It's okay, see he's not bleeding anymore. But I need you, Jess, to go get more of the supplies we hid away for emergencies, okay? And Ella, can you check to see if Mr. Ramirez left out some bread and fruit for us? I don't want to leave the tall man alone here, but I don't want Mr. Ramirez to think we don't want what he leaves for us> And remember to thank him if you see him."

She smiled at the really little ones. "It's okay. He's big, but I don't think he's going to hurt us. He killed that bad thing, remember? You can curl up over here and I'll tell you a story."

[ hawke doesn't like getting hurt. anyone who's known her for more than a second can tell that about her. she likes to be the aggressor, the one who hurts but sometimes -- well, sometimes even heroes as big as hawke can make a mistake. it was honestly very stupid, hawke knows. she was spending some time with the inquisition and amusing herself by tagging along on a trip to orlais. it was the journey back when she realized she was getting a bit restless traveling with such a big, fancy group that she just -- ducked out. off to the side, her and her gear. she'd end up at skyhold a bit later but she wanted some time to herself. very simple goals here!

but a few nights later, she'd left her armor and sword at her camp and was off collecting firewood when the inevitable happened. some bandits who hadn't known who she was but only saw "lone warrior traveling by herself" got the jump on her. she was able to take them down even if it turned into more of a brawl than anything else, leaving hawke's knuckles bloody, some cuts from the rogue's daggers all over her body, and some nasty bruises on her body. she looked pretty messed up and she was so angry with herself for letting her guard down. sure, there's no mage vs templar war. sure, there's no old god threatening to eat the world. sure, things are relatively peaceful for a place such as thedas but -- but even the simple threats still lurk. like bandits.

it takes hawke a couple days to get back to skyhold and she can tell already the inquisitor and their guard got back way before her. she feels a bit guilty at that (if she hadn't left, this wouldn't have happened) but while she did the best job in patching herself up as she could, finding some help is the priority here. she has her hood up, hiding the damage to her face and she's limping a little as she slips in through the gate and makes her way up the stairs to a certain commander's lodgings. hawke does prefer taking care of things herself but when it comes to going to the inquisitor, cassandra, or cullen for help -- she thinks cullen will be a bit more discreet. even if he'll have a bit of a conniption fit first.

she gives three sharp raps to his door when she gets there, hissing slightly after and holding her fist to her chest as the bruises on her hands sting. she clears her throat after, blinking away the pain and calls out. ]

Tall, dark, and uptight? Are you in there?

It had been a routine round of mooks but this bunch had put them up to a fierce fight and it showed,"And yes I know I took more than a few punches and kicks so turn about is fair play." but the sly humor in her voice shined through, even banged up they were still big on banter. "I'm also texting a heads up to Laurel and Oliver, avoiding an ambush is a good thing."
