The Walk Into A Bar Meme!

The bar's a comfortable place, where everyone knows you just have to walk up, give the bartender a smile, and order up a drink. Everyone goes to a bar sometime, whether to pick up a companion for the night, to pick up a friend, or pick up a drink. You never know the story behind the guy sitting next to you, or the bartender. But that's what bars are for, aren't they? To learn about the guy on the stool next to you, drinking his gin and tonic.

So what do you do in a Walk Into A Bar meme?

1. Comment here with your character and their canon in the subject line.
2. Hit RNG for a number between 1-15.
3. Tag someone else using that number as your character's reason for coming to the bar.

3. Midori Sour - Your friends dragged you out here and they've suddenly abandoned you for some rock star in the VIP lounge. Are you bitter? Maybe. Or maybe you'll just use the opportunity to flirt with the cute bartender...

4. Shirley Temple - You got a call five minutes ago asking you to come to the bar to pick up your too-intoxicated friend/brother/sister. But now that you're here, they don't seem to be anywhere to be found...

Arthur's mouth opened and then closed, raising one hand as if to make a point and then finding he couldn't do it. Ducking his head as he grinned, shaking his head with a laugh. "Red isn't his best color."

"Maybe a pale pink then?" Eames offered with a smirk, setting his glass back down.

"He's more an autumn than a spring," he said with a grin. "And this very converation is starting to scare me, just so you know." Yet it was comfortable. He had opened up about something very few knew about and it was back to normal. It was soothing in its own way.

"You found this an odd way for my life to be, you should see things when I'm home."

"So a pale orange maybe?" Eames asked and snickered. "As well it should I think."

Eames leaned forward. "Is that an invitation?"

"Apricot my work," he said, realizing they had never quite teased like this before, and he was liking it.

"You do realize I mean Vegas?"

"Apricot with lots of ruffles. And it keeps in the scheme," Eames said with a smirk.

"I know. And I was asking honestly."

"And I think I need to stop this because my brain might snap with the mental images, good imagination or not," he said, smirking.

It faded though.

"You do realize that my roots there are... they are Hollywood without the happy ending, right?"

"I gathered that," Eames said, looking at Arthur. "You were the one who offered, though. I just took you up on it."

He considered it, thinking about all that Eames would see. "You won't be impressed though," he said, with a small smile. "When?"

"That's for me to decide. You think I came from something impressive," he asked with an arched eyebrow. "Whenever you want to. Assuming after this job, however way it goes."

"Yeah well... I kind of get treatment like I do here," he said with a shrug. "I made a name for myself and my pop was well respected so..." Another shrug and a bit of a smile.

"Sure, after the job," he said, not accepting things wouldn't turn out poorly.

"I'll have to play the chastised older man," Eames smirks.

Things always had a chance of turning out poorly, Eames had decided.

"No, you'll be fighting off every girl I know," he said with a snort. "I may have to abandon you to them and hope you survive."

"You will not abandon me to a group of females," Eames says, "That could be dangerous for them." He laughs all the same though.

"A danger to yourself and others," he asked, smiling as he settled back again, looking lazy and feline, nearly sprawled over the couch. "Will I have to defend your honour?"

"You know it," Eames smirked, rubbing a hand over one of his legs. "No no - but it could get dangerous when I charm them completely and then turn them down for my other lovely male companion."

Arthur arched a brow at that, fingers brushing against the fabric of the sofa as he considered that. "Are you worried for my health as they seek to clear the way to you? I'm touched. Well not yet, but perhaps."

"Well, worried for both our health's sake, really," Eames hedged easily with a smirk still on his face.

"I'm sure I can manage to protect you," he said with a nod, still smiling. "Whether you keep complimenting me or not. But I'll work harder if you keep doing it."

"Is that your way of saying you feed on compliments?" Eames asks with a smirk.

"That's me saying that I might enjoy them, no matter how I ask. And because if you think the suits I've worn up until now have been... sleek, you've seen nothing until we get to Vegas."

"Hmm." Eames' gaze traced over Arthur with a smirk. "You're just making me more impatient to see it, darling."

"I may be giving you entirely too much leverage in this," he admitted, yet it felt good to open up and talk about it all, even if he was taking a risk.

"We still have a job to finish, thank you."

"Too much, but you have my own in return," Eames quirked a brow at him. "And I know. We'll figure it out one way or another, but now I'll be holding you to it."

Arthur smirked, shifting to lean forward once more. Looking more than a little amused as he offered his hand to Eames.

"Wish to shake on it, that I'll take you to Vegas when this is over?"
