As nice as that is, we have a problem here. Just open your eyes, at least.
no subject
[Only enough to see the skin in front of him, and oh, look, a tendon. Tendon, meet teeth. Balfour is very lovey in the mornings.]
no subject
No they're not.
[He's gotta figure out something to do here, because he's starting to realize he has no Power either. The energy running through his veins isn't there, that nice, familiar feeling of Power.]
So when'd you get your ear pierced then if we don't have a problem? [He reaches over to finger what is, technically, his earring. It's in his ear, on his head, but...that's not the body he's in right now. And he doesn't understand why.]
no subject
But then it hits him: when did he get his ear pierced? He didn't. Which means...
He opens his eyes a little more, looking up at Reid's face to find that he was looking at his own instead. He blinks, then reaches up, a hand going to those lips, seeing if it were a mirror.]
What the hell?
no subject
I have no idea. I just woke up and...this. [At least he has someone to panic with now.]
no subject
Much shorter than normal. He plucks a few, looking at them--blonde. Tattoo on his finger.]
Huh. That's weird.
[Sorry, Reid, but he's not panicking yet. He's still too tired
and hornyto think straight.]Why?
no subject
Why what? There are a lot of why's here and not enough answers.
no subject
[He yawns and flops back over, a leg going over Reid's hips, snuggling close.]
Why're we in each other's bodies?
[Though there was no saying that Reid wasn't in Tyler's body, exactly, without further investigation.]
no subject
Maybe it's my fault somehow. I mean, I'm the one with magic and all.
no subject
And there. There was the deep, wrinkled, jagged, purple scar. He slid his fingers across the width, fully aware that part of that touch would go unnoticed, then up along the margins where it was a strange sensation, but at least he could feel it.
Now Reid had to live with that ugly, shameful thing. He frowned, tensing, rather upset with that turn of events.]
no subject
He squirms a little when Balfour touched his back-it just...feels weird. He can't say weird how, just that it is. He's not going to question it though.]
We're gonna fix this.
no subject
[He sounds stressed out, now, now that Reid had squirmed and reacted to that touch along that scar Balfour hated so much.
He presses his face tighter into Reid's chest and pulls his hand away, letting it rest on his lower back instead of on the scar.]
no subject
[He wasn't going to say anything about the scar either way-he didn't want to say the wrong thing, or pry too much.]
You know, I bet this won't even be too hard to fix. We're fucking warlocks, after all. [Except now he's completely useless on the magic front-but otherwise he can still help.]
no subject
[Hint: he's not figured out that he also has the magic that goes with Reid's body. He sighs and remains pressed close, face still in Reid's chest.]
I don't even have magic. You do.
no subject
Right now? You do have magic.
no subject
no subject
It's not like you're gonna hurt anything with it. [A pause.] Probably.
[It was hard to control at first, he knew that from experience, when he'd turned thirteen and first gotten his Power. There had been a few accidents but nothing...too major.]
hawk icon for lack of better icons
[He pulls back a little, hand clenching in the flat sheet between them.
And yes, he's still giving Reid those puppy eyes.]
no subject
You don't have to do anything with it. Or you can do whatever you want. Unless you're asking how to use it, then that's harder to explain.
[He doesn't have any ideas on a magical solution yet, so there's no pressure there. Yet.]
no subject
[He half-snaps half-pleads the statement, his knuckles turning white in the grip he now has on his sheets. He's starting to panic now.]
no subject
[He reaches out, cupping Balfour's face in his hands, and looks him right in the eye.] Just take a deep breath. Everything's alright.
This is a lot harder when you're thirteen you know. [His voice is softer now, aiming to be soothing, like he's talking to a frightened doe or something.] It's subconsciously held under control until you release it, and then it's controlled by what you want to happen, but only if you really focus on it. Makes it harder for accidents to happen once you get the hang of it. Spells are harder though, you have to know what you're doing, so don't worry too much about suddenly creating a tiger or something. [Or a dragon. No dragons please, dear god his room isn't big enough for that.]
no subject
How...? How do I use this?
no subject
It's like I said, you have to really focus on what you want to happen. But you can't exactly on the magic, if that makes sense? It's more of just seeing yourself doing it. [This was hard to explain, and he has no idea if he's doing it right. He's never really had to tell anyone before. Except maybe once or twice, when he was fourteen, and Tyler'd finally had his thirteenth birthday. But that was years ago.]
Like if you want to levitate something, you just focus on that, not the how. I dunno how to use magic to he-...oh. I've got an idea. [Honestly he doesn't know why he didn't think of this sooner, either. Oh right, because the surprise of suddenly being in someone else's body.]
no subject
[Welp. He's found that tendon again, so he's back to nibbling, now. Nibble nibble. At least he was no longer panicking?
Nibble. Nibble.]
no subject
The Book of Damnation. It's got a whole lot of shit about our family histories, but maybe it has some information that could help us. [Not that he remembers off the top of his head, he's never been too keen to just sit around and read the Book. Not like Caleb did.]
