THE FIGHT MEME

What else needs to be said? Release your inner warrior and partake in some epic (or hilariously bad) battles! Do you use a sword? Are you a martial arts master? Are you a wizard? Can you even fight?
It doesn't matter if you're just having a friendly spar or deciding the fate of the universe. You're suddenly filled with the urge to fight the next person you meet. Cut loose and show off your skills!
RULES
◘ Post with your character! List your fighting preferences if you'd like (Sparring, Death Battles, Anything Goes, etc.)
◘ Reply to someone else
◘ ROUND 1...
◘ ... FIGHT!
Here are some prompts to pick from (or RNG from):
1: VERBAL
Not all fights are physical. Maybe you're just really mad and really loud.
2: WUSSY
This is possibly the dumbest limp-wristed flail fight you've ever been involved in.
3: WITS
Because why would you beat someone into the ground when you can humiliate them with your massive intellect instead?
4: PRIZEFIGHT
There's an audience to watch and a prize at stake that only one of you can walk away with. Best bring your A-game.
5: SPARRING
You're fighting to improve. Whether you know your partner or whether you've
just met, you can be pretty sure you're walking away from this one.
6: GRUDGE MATCH
Your hated rival is in town. It's time for a rematch.
7: BAR FIGHT
Welcome to the mother of all drunken brawls.
8: YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THIS!
Maybe your opponent is your friend/sibling/love/other cherished person. Maybe
you're a pacifist. Either way, you're in this fight, but you really
don't want to be.
9: TO THE DEATH
This is it. Too much has happened for this to be anything but a fight to the end. Only one of you is walking away from this.
10: OBLIGATORY SMUT OPTION
Hate sex is the best. And some people like smut and some do not.
11: AGAINST THE HORDE
It's you and your ally against many. Demons, zombies, whatever. Rip and tear, until it is done.
12: GODMODE
You and your opponent both have world-breaking superpowers, and frankly everyone would be happier if you weren't fighting. You are, though, and it's awesome, even if there might not be much left when you're done.
13: RANDOM
Your very own personalized scenario.

If you have aught to say, you may as well do so.
[He has time enough to spare for this, if nothing else, and it's clear enough that something is on the other man's mind.]

It shouldn't have been a surprise, considering the person he was currently... co-habitating with, so to speak, but yet here he was, deeply disgruntled and yes, at least a little surprised that he wasn't going to be allowed to throw hands or swing swords in order to express his displeasure. The response started with a shrug, the motion almost casual in spite of the spirit's malcontent.]
If I were to tell you it's getting a bit too uncomfortably bright in here, I can't imagine that'd come as a surprise to you.
['In here', quite pointedly stated and enunciated.]
I'm not particularly fond of it, I'd be rather appreciative of being told where you intend on having all this go.
no subject
Neither would have ended particularly well, of course. But it would at least have been mildly intriguing. On the other hand... there's interest enough in what Fray has said that he can work with it. Accordingly, his expression shifts to something like smug amusement when he goes to answer.]
Ah, yes. You are a spirit of darkness, are you not?
[The question is all but rhetorical. It's no secret that Emet-Selch is able to see aether itself after all, and while the fact that the Warrior of Light (or Darkness, as they might be currently styled) bears a seed of darkness within them is intriguing, neither is he about to admit to the fact that it might have some genuine bearing on his plans.]
But as I told your... compatriot, if they are able to contain and control the light, there exists the possibility of forging an alliance.

5-ish? but also a little bit 13, probably
(Well-crafted, yes. But not a style with which he happens to be familiar, and given he is in charge of the Bureau dealing with the gathering of information, among other things, that it should be so is passing strange.)
Still, he is nothing if not polite, when their paths cross yet again. True, it may be but a veneer over a simmering cauldron of things he dare not address, a facade carefully crafted and maintained over the past two decades lest he be seen as lesser than he already has been, but it is habit. Necessity, even, given the cutthroat nature of Archadian politics - to falter would be to jeopardize his very position, and he has worked too hard to allow more than a carefully measured amount of anger show through at the best of times.
(He has made himself what he had to be. What the Empire asked of him; a loyal hound and he hates it, as much as he hates the Empire that has required it of him. But what else could he have done all those years ago, if not this?)]
There are places one might spar, certainly. Had you a desire to?
[It has, perhaps, not entirely occurred to Gabranth that Fray might wish to do so with him. But that aside, he has little problem with the idea of doing so.]

The way a word was said here, the way his body language changed there, hints of darkness bubbling just below the surface of a poised, sharp, formal and polite military man. It'd be a trial for many others to catch wind of it, but for someone so keenly attuned to the emotion, it was like a smouldering beacon. A potential inferno that stood the chance of devouring the man it burned inside if allowed to continue on.
So he'd asked after places to spar, cool, casual and direct as always.]
It's been a while since I had a chance to practice. I can go about destroying all the striking dummies I want from now until sunrise tomorrow, but they're not much good for fighting back.
Mind showing me where I can go? Somewhere with a decent amount of space, preferably.

Still, for all that the anger is something that Gabranth has grown very used to the presence of, he's completely unaware that Fray has picked up on as much as he has. That he might have picked up on a few glimpses of irritation, that is nothing unusual - his fellow Judges have likely picked up on that much. But he is ever careful to hold it to acceptable margins. To only permit himself to express it when there is reason enough to do so, and as closed off as Fray has thus far been it's easy enough for Gabranth to simply assume him to be no more observant in the matters of emotion than any other person he speaks to on a regular basis.]
The Magisterial sparring grounds are the largest. And are unlikely to be occupied at this time of day.
[He waits just long enough to see if the offer meets with Fray's approval, but assuming it does, he sets about leading the way through the often-labyrinthine passages of the Imperial palace and assorted grounds.]

It's close to nightfall now. What light remains is soon to be extinguished, the the radiance of the setting sun barely visible through the haze. Should the Mandalorian focus his gaze, they might be able to spot the telltale crimson glow of IG-11's sensor array. With clanking footsteps, the droid shambles into view.
There's something different about him...]
Mandalorian.
[The droid's optics swivel from the Mandalorian to the Child nearby. Target located. He marches closer to the Mandalorian, his posture just as rigid as his tone.]

he continues this ritual even now, the child tucked into the bag he has slung around his body. kid's fast asleep and that's good. he prefers it that way for both of them. gives him one less thing to worry about in the moment, and it means the child is at peace.
for a flash of a moment, as loud metal steps bash into the ground, he thinks it will be ruined. he relaxes when he sees the sensors and knows who it is. the mandalorian stops and waits for the droid to approach, figuring they will have another odd conversation. strange how he's gotten used to them.
then the droid speaks, and his head tilts to the side. ]
Is... that a joke?
[ the droid has been learning how to, ah, interact with the locals. though why does an alarm ring faint in his mind? ]
