"So much blood."
Need options?
1. Another day that ends in Y. When mass murder needs to happen you're the weapon for the job. Employed? Owned by a secret organization? Untamed embodiment of extreme violence? Either way someone's going to try to stop you eventually.
2. How did I get here? The last thing you remember everything was fine and hunky dory– Wait, is this b-blood?! Hopefully there's someone who can help you and not hurt you.
3. Justified. This is war and wars are won with weapons, not words! Cut through the masses knowing what you are doing is right. Does that mean the enemy of your enemy is a friend, or is everyone not part of the solution a problem?
4. Humor/Crack option. This really is your blood. Do you have intense nosebleeds every time someone even moderately attractive catches your eye? Are you Deadpool and constantly leaving heaps of blood everywhere? WHO IS GOING TO CLEAN THIS MESS UP?
5. Smut. Bloodplay, nuff said.
6. Gruesome to some, beautiful to you. Vampires, crazed artists, and evil scientists can eat their heart out. Or someone else's
7. Wilcard! Have something different in mind when you clicked? Go with it! Or re-roll/mix and match.

Another day, another problem to be solved. Not that problems were all that difficult in general to Kurama, at least when it came down to anything relating to school or work, nor were they at all unexpected by the old fox. Indeed, they were simple, boring, every day things to someone who had spent most of his life in Demon World causing mischief and generally being hunted because he'd stolen something else.
No, everyday problems were nothing. Not so everyday problems, like dealing with any of the few close friends he'd made in his later years of school, were a different question altogether. Which explained the confused look on his face, and the question to the much smaller man standing nearby.
"What just happened?" Because, for once, he wasn't entirely sure he understood.
no subject
( sounds good to me! i'm fine with any format too so I'll stick with this! )
Hiei isn't exactly sure how the hell he got here. Well. How he got here to do with who he's embroiled with now, anyway. Other than Kurama. He'd very purposefully allied with Kurama to avoid having to take him on, and yet he'd still ended up babysitting teens and going through more adventures than he had ever meant to alongside said teens.
Not that it hadn't been a hell of a ride, and Hiei wasn't begrudgingly enjoying every single second of it, particularly when he was growing in strength by leaps and bounds.
The little demon shakes his head so indicate he has no clue, already moving to lick at a wound on his arm as was customary for Hiei and his questionable yet absolutely demonic habits. Red eyes are fixed ahead, trying to figure out what the hell is going on here as well. "Your guess is as good as mine... "
no subject
He holds a hand out, expecting Hiei will understand the unspoken hint to let him look at the cut, shrugging just slightly, "Perhaps it is safer to just attribute everything to our leader's... unique methods of handling situations and not think too deeply about it."
no subject
"It's fine." Hiei insists nearly immediately as Kurama holds out his hand. Despite their partnership and the trust built there, Hiei is still sometimes too independent for his own good. Most obviously in the way he insists on not allowing small things like healing, from time to time, as if to prove a point.
Next order of business is to, of course, scoff at calling Yusuke Urameshi their leader, even if he knows it's the truth. It's Hiei - of course he isn't going to just let it go.
The little fire demon's got his own little array of injuries, with this little battle, though by the jovial way the two teens are chit chatting - "They're having fun with this, it seems. Probably wouldn't notice if we left."
no subject
no subject
"It will probably be healed." If not angry and in need of some doctoring, in which case Hiei would, probably, finally allow Kurama the chance to check things over. As it stands, he has been in worse shape in his life, and will not complain about the injuries he's currently sustained.
... For now, anyway. A little later when he's sorer there will probably be some grumbling to be done.
"Yes." Hiei, ever direct with his wishes, especially when Kurama actually agrees and offers first. "I suspect you'll want to offer me salves and other things in the meantime, anyway."
no subject
Really, the red-head never knew, even with all his knowledge of Hiei and how he tended to act. Honestly, they were similar to Yusuke and Kuwabara, though their harassment towards one another tended to be more verbal than anything.
So he just tosses his head enough to indicate they can go, turning as he speaks. "My place or the temple? Yukina could treat you instead, if you prefer."
And speaking of harrassment...
no subject
"You'll make her worry for no reason." Hiei huffs it, though the look in his eye that he cuts toward Kurama is nothing other than unamused. He's been hurt far worse, in his time alive on Earth, and unless he's managed to cut his own arm off again or something, he will profess to be just fine, though without any sort of thank yous.
If there wasn't the implicit trust there between them he might be more annoyed about it, but... this was Kurama. He had always been this way, and so Hiei had built up an ability, over time, to deal with the fox's little comments and side long looks that were definitely meant to pluck at his nerves.
And pluck they did, even if he tried to play cool about it. Hiei regards one seeping injury with a bit of annoyance, shaking his arm as he lets it down. "So I suppose your place. Since you're going to push until I let you."
no subject
Kurama knew when to stop though, and so despite an amused look in those green eyes of his that says he could say more, he moves quickly back towards his place, knowing full well no one is at home at the moment.
"We'll head to my room when we get there, like usual."
[ooc: Work makes slow RP. So I apologise.]
no subject
"Of course." Hiei knows the deal, there. If he showed his face, bleeding, in front of Shiori, that would be a totally different mess than showing up bleeding in front of Yukina or even Kurama. Not something that he wanted to deal with, that much was for sure.
He's thankful that Kurama at least lays off of teasing him for the moment. That's not a long term guarantee, of course. He knows that the youko will start back up again whenever he sees fit and.. well. There's nothing he can really do to stop that or head it off, so he doesn't really try to either.
"We should get food at some point, too." Now that he's not in battle mode.. it's time to snack. Clearly.
no subject
"Food, huh?" A simple response as they near his place and Kurama pulls out his house keys. "Anything particular you're wanting? You know we mostly keep healthy things at home."
no subject
"Nothing healthy.." Hiei, for his slight size, had a lot of muscle and two leeching additions to his body to feed.. which meant quite a lot of food to keep his little frame moving. Usually, he would drop in on Yusuke, who would bull Keiko into making them both massive bowls of ramen, and it worked out one way or another.
Right now, though.. Hiei's got his mind on something else entirely. Something fried, actually, now that he's thinking about what he would prefer and why.
"Tonkatsu. Or something fried." He does tend to go on binges here in the human world, where things didn't have to be caught by his own hands. In the mornings, he actually quite liked large batches of rice and natto if it was available.
"Or, Yusuke can usually get us both bottomless ramen bowls.."
no subject
"We call Yusuke, we have he and Kuwabara as guests for the night." Removing his shoes and returning to lock the door once Hiei is inside, Kurama indicates Hiei to go ahead on to his room. "I'll order something, and we can treat your wound while we wait for delivery."
[OOC: I know we are winging it, but if you want to pull a switch, we can always give Kurama ignored injuries... I mean, the whole group hates admitting they are hurt]
no subject
"Usually you wouldn't bat an eyelash at that." Hiei says it mostly to tease, though the way he doesn't fight it says he isn't opposed. he's had quite enough of the spirit detective and Kuwabara today as it stands, and he'll be sore for a little while until his injuries heal anyway. Best to eat for fuel and then take a nap, so far as Hiei can tell.
Dutifully the little demon removes his shoes at the door, not nearly feral enough after much insistence to not remove his shoes, at least, in Kurama's home.
"I will be fine in the morning, Kurama." Hiei insists again even though he knows it won't make a difference.
no subject
Hiei will have a few minutes to consider this as Kurama makes the call, before making his way to the room, tossing Hiei some small snack he had found while in the kitchen.
"Not fried, but not healthy."
[They find enemies so easily. So we can have Hiei notice something, or I can find something overly dramatic later.]
no subject
"Moodier than usual, today?" Not that Hiei minds. Time spent with Kurama alone is Hiei's preference most days. Yusuke and Kuwabara when they are not together are not absolute pains, it's just when they're together and in a certain mood that they pluck at Hiei's nerves like well-tuned guitar strings and, usually, send the fire demon running for Yukina's company instead.
He removes the dark-colored cape first, already putting a few injuries on show, though they are still not the worst out of what he's sustained in recent history. A gash across his back that he cannot reach is of particular annoyance, but a smaller cut on his other arm has caught his attention for a bit of a clean with his mouth, as usual.
Which if what he's going when Kurama returns, other hand raising to catch what he's thrown with ease.
"What is it?"
( it's so true.. and sounds good to me! See where things lead us. C: )
As I somehow mispost whee
So it goes that Hiei loses again if that was supposed to get to Kurama, unless he catches that brief eye roll as the red-head had disappeared into the kitchen.
What does earn a reaction is that licking, Kurama raising a brow as he sets foot in his room, though he sounds vaguely amused. "You're really never going to stop doing that, are you? And it's a Twinkie. Someone at school bought a bunch on a trip to America and handed them out.
They're sweet. "
Or in other words, Kurama had politely taken the gift, because that was what was expected of him. Even if he wouldn't eat it.
Moving to the small closet in his room, he opens the door and kneels, prying a board open in the floor and obviously going for the box that contains all the seeds, ointments and other items his mother doesn't need to know about.
"What other wounds do you have?"
lol it happens!
Hiei might just smirk at the eye roll, but he won't comment further. After all, Kurama is offering to check on his injuries and feeding him, so he really shouldn't push him too hard.
"Why should I? It's always worked." And only thanks to his quick healing did the little demon not have a hell of a lot of scars because of it. That and Mukuro's healing tanks, that much is for sure. He'll stop at the possibility of this 'twinkie' though, putting aside his cleaning to instead rip open the packaging and go for the treat he's been offered.
... Sue him, he likes human world sweets.
"I know there's one on my back. I can feel it." Hiei offers through a mouth full of twinkie - very little manners have been taught in the demon world, too. Hiei pauses after a few chews to tell Kurama, offering the twinkie -
"Try it. It's good. Sweet."
no subject
Shaking his head to the offer of sharing the small piece of junk food, Kurama moves over to sit on the bed and bring out what he needs for Hiei's back. "I'll wait until the food arrives. Now, you know the drill; hold still while I work."
no subject
Kurama probably wouldn't want to know how many times he's ended up in a tank, almost dead, from a spar with Mukuro. Or just how close he'd come to being his own death with the arm chopping and bisection incident. But there's a reason Hiei doesn't bring it up, other than it's a side note compared to just how strong he'd managed to grow in that small time and space.
That's all he really cared about, anyway.
"Your loss." Hiei mumbles as Kurama denies his bite of twinkie, still going to town on the little treat.
"There isn't much to do with it..." Hiei excuses with a shrug, despite the fact that the injury is deep and slightly dirty.
I'll pull something in the next post or two - may not be blood but...
Either way, he ignores the complaint, patching up the wound gently before adding some balm to it to make sure it won't get infected and examining for any further deep injuries, and content when he doesn't find any further obvious ones.
"Are the ones on your arm healing?"
okie dokie!
It's fair enough to not want to know one's teammate almost bit the big one in a tournament basement without anyone the wiser. Hiei will probably one day accidentally volunteer the information without meaning to, at any rate. It's kind of how he tends to do things, here.
Hiei simply offers the arm not holding his sweet treat so Kurama can inspect himself - the wound is seeping, some, the liquid clear, and the once bleeding injury is still red and angry, but beginning to sew itself closed.
"Seems to be. The other - " Hiei pauses in his eating to check the cut on his upper arm there, resisting the urge to lick with twinkie in his mouth as he notices it's still producing a good bit of blood. "... Mn.. that one may need a balm."
