Okaaay! So there's this person I met recently who's kind of cute, but into some really dark messed up things. Like... pretty much your territory of dark and messed up? Aaaaand I was kind of wondering if you wouldn't mind if we used your shadow world for a uh... kind of freaky time?

Cause you know... the kind of things they want to try are sort of... lethal...

[I mean... she was the one that gifted her BFF with powers, who then in turn was able to grant them powers, and so they were able to do weird freaky things in Izanami's world that shouldn't be possible in the real world. And hey, she's the one who's all about trying to fulfill the dark desires of mankind ammirte?

Yeah... she's pretty sure this is going to fly over even worse than suggesting Izanami get laid... but can't blame a girl for trying right?]

Yeaaaah... like I said... it sort of falls into your territory of icky things humans are capable of doing or desiring from each other. At the same time... I totally understand that you wouldn't want anything to do with it. So uh... you let me know... kay?

...Humanity...really have those sorts of desires, as well? Despite it leading to their demise?

Well we did sort of evolve from animals, so the basest of our instincts are to eat and uh... procreate. If you're talking about billions of people, the odds that one or two in there want to combine the two things in weird ways isn't too unexplainable.

[That doesn't make it better but it does explain it a little... maybe? She's not going to go into the whole desire to be one thing, or power dynamics because... this is probably ewwie enough that this poor goddess needs brain bleach. Which is kind of impressive from a woman who was willing to go through horrors that were too unspeakable for her ex.]

But humanity is pretty self-destructive in its desires. That's one of the reasons we had to stop you in the first place. We might desire something, but that doesn't mean we should actually go through with it in reality. So having a safe outlet for your unhealthy desires is practically part of being human. Some people write, some people draw, others create tv shows which is why the midnight channel became a thing...

When we fought shadows in your world we could use our powers, or certain items from our world that wouldn't normally do much of anything in our world, to revive one another. If someone were to per se... do something that caused their friend to die in your realm, would reviving them through these
means still work if it was done in your realm?

[See? She's not even trying to ask her to use her powers to bring her cannibalized friend back! She's trying to let her have as little to do with it as possible.]

Although...I suppose if those unhealthy desires are suppressed, that can birth a Shadow in its own right. As you said, the Midnight channel was born from that, in part.

It seems contradictory that humanity would be happier if the very things they desire are withheld from them.

[The shock was slowly starting to wear off as she started to think through this rationally. However convincingly she could act human, there was definitely a noticeable disconnect.]

As to the question... yes, I see no reason it would fail.

Aww, don't feel too bad about it. Mankind doesn't entirely understand mankind all the time either.

Mankind is usually at its happiest when its in pursuit of happiness, and oftentimes we don't know what we'll do once we've actually gotten what it is we're chasing after. It's one of the reasons we keep progressing, all the way to the moon and back.

[Aaaaaand she's going to do her best to withhold her excitement because uh... it's probably something that Izanami would prefer not to know about as much as possible.]
