To put it bluntly, Germany was bored. So even if he seemed to be just sitting there in perfect silence, he was making all kinds of airplane noises in his head while following an imaginary zeppelin with his eyes while randomly letting it crash against different pieces of furniture, the ceiling or a wall only to proceed with a freshly imagined airship.

Prussia scowled in irritation. Waiting certainly was boring, but Germany hardly needed to complain about it so loudly! Or make such distracting noises. He leaned back slightly in his seat, wondering when they would be let in to see their boss. Certainly he was busy, but one would think that since he had summoned them, he would have done so when he could actually speak to them. Clearly such foresight was beyond the man, which honestly didn't surprise Prussia.

Austrians really were quite useless, after all.

If Germany kept that ridiculous game of his up, Prussia was going to snap. In his head he was already thinking Stop that! as hard as he could in his brother's direction. Although, mentally wanting Germany to act a certain way had never worked in the past.

Twisty is a good word for her, although reaching deep enough to untangle those lines offers a picture of a strong core wrapped in a terribly broken shell.

*Soren's brow furrowed somewhat as he forced himself to work past those foreign emotions - both his and Pegasus's. As it was just after breakfast, there was no better time before they both got swept up during the day.*

[Alex is sort of used to having a semi-telepathic link with her vassals, the vampires she has turned. Thhey may not usually hear everything she thinks, but he will supersede s theirs, her opinions color their core personalities. They want what she wants, even if they might have a different way to get it.

So, for a vassal, a telepathic link would just be an upgrade and offer explanation for the shared emotions. For everyone else... Yeah, not usual.

Some of her thoughts are very mundane: cute boys, new movies, shopping. Some are names and phrases: Bathroy, Claudius, semper fidelis, Rasputin, dhampir. Some are detailed memories: hunting vampiires, an older man in a Marine uniform, turning her vassals.

It's a little chaotic, but it's probably not really overwhelming.]


(Non-vassals are more than welcome. If you want to try the vassal connection, I can handwave Alex's usually very conservative stance on turning people and say she was induced to change your character. Definitely not required, though.)

[It had sort of been a group vacation. A trip on Stark to get everyone to loosen up, not to mention an unspoken apology for what he'd pulled last month. Clint would mention it, but part of the all expense paid trip was that none of them would ever mention it again. Who said you couldn't throw money at things?

Darcy was included in the apology, considering she was the one that had gotten stuck in an elevator shaft for six hours because of it. As far as internships went, Clint hoped she was getting paid for this one.

He and Darcy had set off with the Hulk at sunset, in search of a nice place on the beach to build a bonfire. The others were supposed to join them later, but halfway there they'd been ambushed. Whoever they were, they knew what they were doing, considering Bruce had been knocked out with a tranquilizer before Clint had even realized they were in danger. After that, things had gotten hazy. Some secret lab. Some experiments with Bruce and an inevitable waking up of the Hulk. When the big guy started smashing his way out of there, Clint had made sure Darcy and he weren't far behind.

They hadn't quite made it half way through the lab before an angry Hulk overturned some kind of equalizer and what would later be explained to him as a gamma bomb rocked the building. SHIELD had fished them out of the wreckage and now he was sitting in the med bay of the Helicarrier, reliving the last time he was unlucky enough to end up here.

He moved to the doorway which opened easily enough for him and made his way down the hall, pausing outside of Darcy's room. He knocked lightly before stepping in.]

He keeps his mind carefully blank as he turns the bathroom handle — this is upsetting for him too, okay, but he doesn't have the same track record of this sort of thing that Natasha does, and the very last thing he wants is to spook her with an order — calling out quietly to her so she knows he's coming in before pushing open the door and stepping inside. He doesn't even look at her yet, just stares at the floor, trying so hard to keep his mind quiet.

There's just, some guy that looks like the old holos he stole from his mom's room as a kid. And that happens. Sometimes that happens. That's not weird. [The whole thing had been a little too easy. Granted, James was competent enough to make a lot of things look easy, but apprehending a cyber-terrorist with very little struggle (beyond those few thugs he'd had to kill) just seemed a little... simplistic. Things so very rarely worked out quite so smoothly for him. Perhaps that's where his paranoia lies. One job well done and he's suddenly questioning himself. But what was there to question when the villain was locked away and surround by armed guards?

He'd watched for a time, ignoring any conversation thrown his way. Professional until the last and waiting oh so obediently for M to show up and take over. He stands, silent and watchful at all the interaction between the fallen agent and the accomplished leader, merely creasing his brows in curiosity at the scenario unfolding. Poor, crazy bastard has had a tough time of it all, Bond can't deny that, but he's sure there's more than one side to this story. Still, what's displayed is raw and honest and difficult to misinterpret. An agents worst nightmare of capture, torture and failed suicide.

It hits Bond suddenly, like a bolt of lightning between his eyes. A migraine arriving faster than he'd thought possible and his temples attacked by sharp jabs of pain. He handles it well, keeping out of M's field of view as he subtly presses a palm to his temple, runs the hand through his hair and then shoves it back in his pocket, but he can't shake it off. There's more to it than a simple headache. There's odd memories and emotions carefully leaking through that he swears aren't his.

M departs with Tanner without a glance to him, and Bond's glad for it. He doesn't follow. More than ever, he's drawn to his company, even waving the guards off to stand back behind that frosted glass and leave the two of them in peace. He keeps his distance, teeth gritted as he watches, silent, uncertain and just slightly disoriented.]
