He moved so slow, so deliberate, she could feel herself going to pieces, knew in the end she would shatter in his arms. Every time he moved into her she tried to draw him in deeper, pull him closer so that nothing remained between them. Once she opened her eyes but he was too close to see more than his closed lids and full lashes before her own eyes drifted closed again. “Ты очень нужен мне,” she murmured against his lips, fingers digging into his back as she clung to him but not quite breaking the skin.
no subject
A better man than him would whisper that he loved her, but Clint knew better. Those were the kind of words you kept to yourself, even when you were this close, feeling this good, loosing control. It would force them apart and he didn't want that. She wouldn't accept it, because it was just words but he wasn't sure how much more he could do to prove it to her except for this. He could easily have torn her clothes off, but no, he'd taken his time because jesus, she was worth it.
"Tasha.." he trailed off because really he couldn't exactly stop himself, the tightening in his stomach and all her teasing, he'd been hanging on by a thread before and now? Now the thread was straining, seriously. He moved a little faster, hips loosing their careful rhythm, turning into a desperate pace to take her over the edge with him.
no subject
Still, there were things left unsaid, things even they couldn’t read in each other. Clint was wise enough not to say them, and Natasha was content not to hear them, not to see the struggle he went through for her and because of her. In a way she knew how he felt, she saw it in every look, she felt it in every touch, but there was something utterly terrifying of actually hearing him say it, to say words she wasn't sure she even understood, that she had been programmed not to feel and told she didn't deserve. Silently she could accept them, but spoke aloud even she didn't know how she would react.
Lapsing into broken Russian, curses and words that meant nothing, she felt the world falling away as she reached the precipice, but it was his name on her lips when she finally teetered over.
no subject
He swallowed her Russian under his lips, he broke back to hear his name again and jesus that was it. The breathless tone had him following her, buried as deep as he could go, groaning into her neck. A mess, she'd turned him into a complete mess. He lay there, breathing into her neck, nuzzling her skin, pressing soft kisses to her pulse, up to her ear and back down. Jesus this was the best it was ever going to get.
"That was, worth the wait." It took him a long time to form words, but really, she'd reduced him to a complete mess. "You're amazing."
no subject
His words caused her to laugh, the sound deep and throaty. ‘Worth the wait’ was certainly an understatement; she couldn’t remember the last time she had felt this completely satiated. Every moment had been perfect. “You’re not so bad yourself,” she said with a grin, sliding one hand up his back to his neck, her fingers curling in the soft hair at its nape. Slowly she moved her legs from around him, letting her feet rest back on the mattress. Slowly was the word for her every movement now, even how she blinked. Her body felt boneless, and she wasn’t sure she could move quickly even if she wanted to.
no subject
He sighed, mucles protesting but he still moved, rolling them slowly over until he was looking up at her through red curls. Hands had drifted up to cup her face, stroking thumbs along her cheek.
"Round two might have to wait until tomorrow" he smirked slowly, brushing hair away from her face to lean up, kissing her again. Yeah he really couldn't stop himself.
no subject
She had actually forgotten, he had been able to make her forget all about tomorrow. She had been so caught up in the moment, so lost in him, that nothing else had seemed to matter and all thoughts had fled her mind. The reminder hit her hard, like a knife to the heart, because by noon tomorrow she would have to go to the base and get everything prepared for her mid-afternoon flight. She would have to leave him behind.
She kissed him a little harder then, but by the time she pulled back she was able to smile again. “I suppose that’s acceptable. Round one definitely exceeded expectations.”
no subject
Clint really didn't want to dampen the mood, not after being so close and feeling her fall apart in his arms, because of him.
He kissed her, stroked the rest of her hair away from her face, move to press lips to her jaw line, her cheeks, finding her lips was easy because he didn't want to stay away from them.
He pulled back, catching her gaze through tired eyes, giving her that look, the one that told her she could tell him anything, the one he used when trying to pry information from her, the one that promised acceptance. His hands dropped away from her face, slide down her sides to wrap around her back, stroking fingers along her spine.
no subject
“Let’s get some rest,” she said quietly. Lowering her head she dropped a kiss to his chest before resting her cheek on it and closing her eyes. “You wore me out.”
no subject
"Okay" It had been a long day, maybe they were just tired, that would add to him seeing things, believing that something was wrong when it wasn't. He lay back, stroking along her spine still, shut hiws eyes and tried to block it all out. Just tired.
no subject
She slept about an hour, maybe two, before drifting awake again. Her whole body was warm, snuggled between the blankets and Clint’s body. Turning her face she nuzzled into his chest, unable to keep herself from kissing him softly though she didn’t want to wake him. He made her feel safe, important, like the only thing that mattered in the world. She didn’t want to move. Ever.
no subject
He did wake though, opening one eye then the other through the haze of sleep, blinking it away. He didn't move, just wrapped his arms tighter around her frame and held her close. "Hey you." Words were mumbled, hazy with sleep but he still managed to smile at her, still brought his lips to hers, unable to keep away.
no subject
“Hey back,” she said quietly, her eyes still half lidded as she gazed at him. “I didn’t mean to wake you. Go back to sleep.”
no subject
"Mm thought I'd just lay here and watch you fall back asleep like a creep" he managed a wiggle of his eyebrows, grinning in a sleepy manner. Jesus he really was totally gone for her.
"If you woke me up for round two, I'm really not recharged enough for that." Oh, at least he could still be an annoying asshole.
no subject
Of course he had more to add and she rolled her eyes at him and pinched the skin under her fingers just to make him jump; the smile stayed on her lips. “I am not that insatiable, though I am definitely making note of your slow recharging time. Perhaps your battery is wearing out.” She raised an eyebrow at him teasingly.
no subject
He did jump and it was that moment he realised he was still inside her and jesus, she was going to be sore in the morning, even he winced at the thought. Still, he wiggled enough until he could shift and ease himself out of her. "Yeah, perhaps I need new ones. Or maybe it's just you, I mean, I guess I could recover if you suddenly had the overwhelming urge to sit up and ride me but then I don't think I'd ever get out of your bed." He grinned at her, "and that could be a problem."
no subject
“How romantic,” she deadpanned at his words. “When you put it that way, how can I resist? I am just so overwhelmed with my need to fuck you senseless.” She moved then as if she was about to sit up and do just that, though the effort was obviously just for show.
no subject
"It's hard to be romantic with you, it makes me feel stupid." Oh Clint, he really was just putting his foot in his mouth repeatedly tonight.
no subject
Her brow twitched slightly at his confession, though she couldn’t exactly argue against it. She had always said that romance wasn’t their thing, but maybe it just wasn’t her thing and Clint was only holding back because of that. “Well, I have never really been one for romance,” Natasha said, but then nobody had ever really tried before.
no subject
Maybe it would be nice to be a little more romantic, give her the occasional gift that wasn't a gun or something she could hurt someone with. Clint wasn't the kind of guy to bring her a stuffed toy, but it would be nice to see the reaction, a reaction that didn't involve her stuffing the toy where the sun doesn't shine.
"It's okay, just ignore me, let's get some more sleep yeah?" That's it, backtrack away from his awkward conversation, backtrack away from anythingt serious.
no subject
Once again he brushed off something that was clearly an issue with their relationship. Was that really how they worked? He bottled up all these desires and if he dared reveal any of them she just shot them down and he accepted it? Natasha frowned at the thought, not even bothering to hide it. He was the most important person in her life, but what if she was only holding him back? What if she was stifling him? She didn’t even touch on the thought they he might be better with someone else, someone more open and affectionate, because the idea of him with with someone else was enough to turn her stomach and make her heart ache.
Rolling off of him suddenly, she held the covers up to her chest as she sat up in bed, her mind running rapidly. What if he would be better off without her? She knew she wouldn’t be better without him, but could she ever be the woman he deserved?
no subject
Clint frowned, sat up slowly and turned to look at her. "Hey, what's wrong?" He didn't really know what to do, reaching to touch her arm softly, try and make her look at him. She'd moved as if he was on fire, away from being burnt. "Tasha.."
He didn't want anybody else, nobody came close to Natasha, nobody ever would come close to what they had but he couldn't deny that he wanted more, couldn't deny that he wanted to be able to touch her, kiss her and not care what people thought. He was willing to give that dream up just for her. Always willing.
no subject
She couldn’t talk about their relationship, not now, but she could finally tell him what had been weighing on her mind all day. Clint wasn’t oblivious, he was much more tuned into her than anyone else, and she knew he suspected something. It was time to bite the bullet.
“I should have told you sooner but I was selfish, I just wanted to be with you one more night,” Natasha said. She had wanted him to be happy, for things to be normal, and she had gotten exactly what she had wanted. Since they’d entered her room things couldn’t have been more perfect.
Slowly she turned her face toward him, determined to meet his eyes when she finally broke the news. “I have a new mission, deep cover.” He would know what that meant. “I leave tomorrow... today,” she rectified, glancing at the clock. “It is suspected to last at least four months.”
no subject
He held her gaze through her words, but retracted his hand and left it sitting in his lap. Four months, too long. It was too long without her and he was already starting to think he'd loose the plot. Ever since the incident with Loki he'd needed her, not only to rebuild him but to keep his sanity. This was too long without contact, deep cover, he hated those fucking words.
He wasn't sure what to say, so he ran a hand through his ruffled hair and frowned slowly. "Wow well.." What could he say? That he wished she'd told him sooner? That he didn't want her to go away for that long because he was afraid he wouldn't be himself when she got back? That if she left him he'd fall apart? It sounded so weak even in the back of his mind.
"I can't believe.." He couldn't even speak, didn't know what to say that would leave this on a happy note. "I can't believe you didn't tell me sooner.." He'd said it, the most stupid thing he could come out with.
"I mean jesus fucking christ Nat, you've see me every day, you've had plenty of oppertunities to say something and you didn't." God was this what it felt like to feel your heart cracking? Because he didn't like it. He thought they were over this, he thought they could talk to each other about things like this. Obviously he was wrong.
no subject
“I should have told you,” she agreed, drawing her knees up to her chest and wrapping her arms around them. “I only found out two days ago, you know how SHIELD works.” She quickly cut of that line of explanation, it sounded too defensive, as if she was trying to excuse her actions. That was not what he needed right now, nor what he deserved. “But I should have told you right away, and I’m sorry I didn’t.”
It was only partially true. Any time she would have told him still would have hurt, but it would have been better to tell him as soon as she had known, to give him the time to accept it that she had had. Still, she couldn’t be completely regretful considering what they had shared tonight. Would the night have still played out the same? It would have been different, there would have been a lingering sadness hanging over them that she hadn’t wanted. She had wanted him to be carefree and happy, but was it worth the added pain in the end?
