Or perhaps you want to try medicine, or laughter, or something else? 09] pet Suddenly, you have another addition to the family! Is it a puppy? A kitty? A fierce dragon? Whatever it is, make sure to give it a name and to take good care of it! 10] holiday Happy birthday/New Years/Christmas/Valentine's Day/whatever! It's a very special day that only comes once a year, so make it count! 11] argument Oh, no, who left the stove on... Or maybe it's about why they were out late last night? Either way, there is a lot of tension today, and one of you may or may not be sleeping on the couch tonight. 12] making up It's time to make amends for that fight/divorce/whatever you had before! After all, you love each other... right? 13] surprise, surprise You are feeling rather loving tonight, so you want to remind the other person how much you cherish and appreciate them... if it's by something cute and adorable or hot and sexy is completely up to you. 14] proposal SHUT UP THIS TOTALLY FITS You've been with your other for what feels like forever, and finally you want to tie the knot with them. [He had heard the arrival of his favorite person, before even seeing him to know that something had happened. And finding him sitting on the couch with a box of pizza confirmed that in his mind, so he sits down beside the man close enough that their knees touch each other, watching him quietly.

Then he puts his hand on Tony's arm, squeezing it gently.] Did something happen today?

[Tony had reached the end of his rope. He'd never been particularly romantic, but when you were dating Steve Rogers, a huge sap under a hundred pounds of muscle, you had to start thinking outside of the box. Which is why he'd planned the perfect Anniversary evening twice only to have it interrupted by Avenger business twice.

He'd had to take matters into his own hands. He'd had to get inventive and possibly approach something very close to Captain America kidnapping, but he couldn't help but think that after everything the both of them had put up with over the last year SHIELD could give them a week off the grid. The hardest part of course would be convincing the duty-bound Steve, which was why Tony hadn't really bothered to correct him in thinking they were headed to Washington on business when they were actually flying to the closest thing to a deserted island that Tony could find.

He blinked as they descended from the plane, surveying the palm trees swaying in the wind.] Oh, yeah. [He said, stepping off the final step and glancing over his shoulder.] Happy Anniversary.

[Tony is halfway through his first slice when Steve appears. He meets his eyes briefly before looking away and taking another bite and chewing mechanically. He shuts his eyes briefly at Steve's touch, but doesn't speak until he's swallowed and turned the box towards Steve in a silent offering.]

Bad day.

[The kind of day he'd normally be itching to drink away, but this... goes deeper than that. He's sure that will come later, but for now he needs some familiar comforts and that means pizza and Steve.]

[He hadn't forgotten that their Anniversary was coming up, business with SHIELD and Avengers respectively cut into his planning of the prefect night in plans with Tony. He knows that everyone basically thinks that he is a saint with a large amount of patience.

But even he had his limits for interruptions to romantic plans and it was something that he was fast approaching. He was sure that Tony was going to get inventive with his plans, if he had any. His partner was being rather secretive about things again, if he really thought about it.

By the time they had gotten onto the plane, which he thought that they were going to Washington on business and he noted that Tony really hadn't bothered to correct him at all. Which left him free to think about SHIELD and Avengers business along with making plans for their Anniversary.

He blinks himself awake as the plane lands and Tony is out the door by the time he gets up to follow. Tony is already at the bottom of the stairs to the plane, when he gets to the door and blinks at their surroundings wondering if he's dreaming. They certainly aren't in Washington, Tony's voice brings attention back to him as he blinks in the bright sunlight.

He smiles.] Happy Anniversary, Tony.

[He doesn't comment right away just quietly settling for taking a piece of pizza with a napkin. Swallowing a few bites of his piece before wiping his mouth with the napkin and watches Tony.

By now he's managed to learn most of Tony's habits for when a “bad day” occurs and knows that drinking would be one of his escapes for a day like this. Which is he's had JARVIS set up an alert for him if Tony started drinking.

For now he's going to distract the other, but he is first going to see what the other wants him to do.]
