[ shijima is not a huge fan of dogs, but she watches it show up with an expression that is more curiosity than annoyance. while it digs, she crouches to get a better view of its machinery. ]

Did you build him yourself, G-chan?

Of course! My cyber farming dog Gantetsu is a creation only a genius scientist like me could make! His horse power exceeds 100,000 and he can take over ten thousand forms! His only weakness is he's so old he'll soon be dead!

[And once the digging is done... The tree sprouts into full bloom with such velocity it shoots her sock up into the air.]

[ huh. well, that's not such a bad weakness. shijima stays crouched on the ground, but she tucks her arms between her knees. once the tree shoots up, though: ]

[Grandpa holds up a hand and it looks like it's going to fall perfectly into his palm like a cool dude.

And then his dog just snatches it and offers it up to Shijima whilst the old man fumes 'cos his awesome cool moment was ruined.]

[ shijima smirks, takes the sock and puts it into a pocket without regard for any dirt or other substances that may be on it. ]

Even your own dog upstaged you. What now, hmm?

[And he just straight up punches the dog. Which starts a fist fight with a dog, and let me tell you, that dog has a mean right hook. The scuffle goes on for bit, until eventually Grandpa sits on Gantetsu's head triumphantly.]

[ at this point, Shijima snickers (if briefly) before dropping herself into a cross-legged seat on the floor. ]
