[ So Tony is being a dutiful, faithful friend and is entirely alright with Bruce denying him an explanation. Mm. With a roll of his eyes, he slumps against the boulder and tips back his head. ]

I'll tell you after you've sang, if I still possess my senses.

[ Tony appreciates having secrets and things that would be better off not spoken about. He won't deny Bruce the opportunity to keep his own counsel. Even if it's about him. ]

I think you will. But it's a deal.

[ It's a lot of feelsy-bromance stuff that would probably go over better in person, rather by phone. ]

What are you going to sing?

[ Tony doesn't laugh, but his grin is audible in his voice. ]

That would be telling, Doctor Banner.

[ Pft, smartass. ]

I'm partial to the Kinks.

Maybe I'm going to sing my own song. You know, one I wrote. Ever think of that?

I didn't. What exactly are you going to sing about?

It's a surprise.

[ And okay, maybe he sounds a little smug. ]

Incentive to hang around a little bit.

I already have a ton of incentive to hang around.

Now you have more. And more is usually better than less. At least with the good stuff.

True, I'd rather have more of you than less.

[ Really wishing he hadn't done that, the desert is only so-so as far as entertainment value goes during the interim. ]

[ It really is only five minutes. Almost on the dot, in fact. Without fanfare, Tony drops out of the sky, a large plastic bag held in one gauntleted hand. He lands a few feet away from Bruce, and when he straightens up, he flips up the faceplate of the armor and holds up the bag. ]

Delivery for Bruce Banner.

[ Stepping up near Bruce, he gives him a bland smile, feigning a lack of recognition. ]

You wouldn't happen to know where I can find him, would you, sir?

[ Watching Iron Man swoop in, the dramatic flourish is somewhat hampered by that plastic bag. It does, however, draw a smile out of Bruce as he gathers his tattered waistband and heads over. ]

He got picked up by this flashy guy in red, I guess.

[ One-armed, he pulls him in for that promised hug, cold metal be damned. ]

It's good to see you, Tony.

[ It's got to be uncomfortable. Tony's never tried hugging himself, but he's touched the metal plates. They're certainly not appropriate for hugs. So he's careful as he loosely curves his free arm around Bruce's shoulders. ]

Good to see you too. I didn't keep you waiting too long, I hope?

[ He offers him the bag. ]

There's a bottle of water and a granola bar in there too. I thought you might need them.
