Here's how it works!

3. The two of you are now on a date! The first list is where you took your date. The second list is your current relationship.

Locations

1. Restaurant. What better way to spend some romantic time than over food? Maybe you're at the fancy restaurant in town, or maybe you just couldn't afford anything nice, so you're at the nearest diner. Or maybe somewhere in between?

2. Games. The two of you are playing a game somewhere! You could be at a bowling alley, an arcade, a miniature golf course...the possibilities here are countless.

3. The Park. Of course, Mother Nature can provide an excellent atmosphere for romantic bonding! Perhaps you're taking a leisurely stroll through the lush grounds, or maybe you've laid out a blanket somewhere so the two of you could have a picnic.

4. Movie Theater. Or maybe the two of you are sitting next to each other in a dark room, sharing a bucket of popcorn while you're watching the latest film. Did you opt for a horror flick to keep your significant other latched to your arm -- or for you to latch to theirs -- or perhaps something they enjoy, like a sappy romance film or a cheesy action flick? Or maybe you compromised and went to see a sweet romantic comedy.

5. Skating. It's always nice to go skating, right? Are you at a roller skating rink, or did you find a frozen lake and decide to go ice skating? Which one of you needs help (you know at least one of you does)?

6. Beach. Ahh, the beach! Go ahead and set up camp wherever you like! Or if you don't watn to lay down and catch a tan, you can go swimming, or take a walk along the shore! Or if you don't want getting sand on your feet or in your shoes, go hit up the boardwalk!

7. Sunday Drive. Sometimes you don't really have a destination in mind. Sometimes you just want to drive and enjoy the scenery. Well, here's your chance to do that!

8. Amusement Park. There's plenty to do here! Take your date on the Ferris wheel, or the tunnel of love...or something more thrilling, like a roller coaster! Walk around with cotton candy!

9. Dance/Ball. School dance? Prom? Business gala? Whatever it is, you're there, and you've got a date.

10. Wild Card. Your choice! Feel free to pick something that's not here.

1. Blind Date. You had no idea who you were going out with until you arrived! Was it a complete stranger, or did it turn out to be someone you knew?

4. Proposing. This isn't just any date for you. You've brought your significant other out somewhere to propose to them! Make sure to warm them up for the main event!

5. Married. You're not just dating, you're a married couple! Whether this is a special occasion or you just decided to break from your everyday life, the two of you are using this as an opportunity to remind each other just how much you love one another.

Alright, alright... [Megumi is using all of her cunning, for this one. Please let it work.] Lead the way.

[And she... doesn't move. Because Hikaru has her hand, see? This is a perfect plan and nothing could go wrong.]

*Oh. Uh. Crap. She should've broken by now! Did Megumi seriously want to ride this thing? Dammit, now she was the one who couldn't back down! She'd never hear the end of it!*

*Unless . . .*

Sure! But, geez, looking at it, that line is already getting kinda long, huh? I doubt we'd be able to get the good seats now. Let's go for the ferris wheel instead!

*Awww yeah, the perfect crime. Except for how the line is still pretty reasonable, but shhhh, details, details!*

Yeah, it'd probably take hours, to get on, wouldn't it... [No, not really, but again. Details. Especially since Megumi is too busy patting herself on the back for being so smart to really notice things like that.]

The ferris wheel is fine, then! I mean... [She squeezes Hikaru's hand a little.] It's kinda... required, right? [Squeeze, squeeze. Because they're a couple, see.]

Right! *Squeeeeze ♥* Way more so than roller coasters. *Yeah, it just wouldn't be a date without a ferris wheel ride! . . . She almost says that part aloud, but thinks better of it, just leading Megumi over to the line (which is huge, but, again, details).*

[BETTER THAN SOME OTHER SQUEEZES SHE COULD MENTION but yeah, she squeezes Hikaru's hand back and follows her over to the line, watching it slooowly move along. Haha, the rollercoaster line was totally longer, right?]

Y... yeah. It's probably for the best that we gave up on that. [Of course, if this date gets any more romanticly cliche they'll wind up on the tunnel of love. Megumi isn't sure she can handle that... so she just looks up at the top of the ferris wheel to distract herself.]

The view looks like it'll be nice, huh? You can probably see for miles and miles...

*HEY THAT HAPPENED IN THE HEAT OF A MOMENT OK and yeah, oh, totally--that was definitely the longer wait!*

Y-Yeah . . . maybe next time . . . but hey, you're right! Man, it doesn't hit you how tall these things really are until you're right next to one, does it? *The Tunnel of Love would definitely be way too much. Even the ferris wheel has Hikaru's fret levels at maximum; what if they kiss but someone in one of the other cars sees them?!*

[A MOMENT THAT EVERYONE SAW Megumi at least isn't letting things like bother her - they can just wait until they're the car at the top, and then if someone looked up they'd be looking at the sun! Perfect plan. Totally.

Still, after what happened at the beach a while back, she's... well, she'd understand if Hikaru didn't want to kiss, to put it one way.]

Not at all... but this one seems kinda big! Like, even for a ferris wheel. You aren't afraid of heights or anything, right?

*FROM FAR AWAY Ugh, yes, that . . . episode at the beach is definitely lingering in Hikaru's mind. But she's determined to enjoy this date anyway, her worrywart nature be damned!*

Naaah, not really. *Unless they're terrifyingly big roller coaster loops, of course.* Actually, with something like this, the taller the better, right?

[NOT FAR ENOUGH Oh hey, the line's actually moving. As for Megumi... she kind of wants to enjoy this date even more, because of what happened back then. Spite, mostly, and also because she's worried that Hikaru's worried. A good, goofy little date with absolutely nothing bad happening would be a good way to make her feel better, right?]

But if it's too tall, people might get scared. [Not her, of course! But. Other people. Okay, maybe she's a tiny bit scared of heights. But... whatever, it's just a ferris wheel. And Hikaru's right next to her, which is good because it means she can squeeze her hand again as they get closer to the ferris wheel. ... Oh, she should probably finish her cotton candy before they get on.]

Hey, do you want some? [So she holds it out towards Hikaru.]

Ah . . . another indirect kiss . . . *Hikaru chuckles and takes a bite. It vaguely occurs to her that even without actually kissing, they're probably acting enough like a couple for the people around them in line to notice, but . . . argh, screw it! She shoves those worried thoughts aside (again).*

*Between the two of them, they manage to finish the cotton candy off just as they're reaching the front of the line. Pretending she didn't notice the somewhat puzzled look on the face of the ticket taker, Hikaru steps into the car.*

Hey. [Well, Megumi doesn't mind, or anything... and she doubts anyone actually heard her, and even if they did they probably just brushed it off, or assumed the person who said it was one of the... other, couples.

... Hm. Megumi's actually having deep thoughts, now. Especially with that weird look the ticket taker gave them. Well, she drops the cotton candy's stick into a nearby trashcan and steps in after Hikaru, taking a seat and waiting for the door to shut and all. Once they start moving, she suddenly leans over and rests her head on Hikaru's shoulder. Sure, maybe someone can see them, but it'd be from a distance. And Megumi's hair is sorta shortish.]

This is fine. *Hikaru smiles, resting her head against Megumi's, giving her girlfriend's hand a squeeze. Actually, she really does want to do more . . . but she gets why Megumi's asking. As they move a bit higher--out of sight of anyone on the ground--she gives a quick glance around before turning to lay a kiss on the top of Megumi's head.*

[And they move a bit higher, so Megumi responds by. You know, kissing her on the lips and all. It's a quick peck, but still. They're high enough up now that the only people who can even see them are the other cars - and who'd be looking down in a ferris wheel? She shoots a glance at the car below them, out the window, and it looks like they're busy... doing basically the same thing her and Hikaru are doing.]

Haha... at this rate, I don't think we're going to notice the view. [Hikaru's so... well, cute, for one. And as noted earlier, she wants to make sure she enjoys the date. So she leans in to kiss her again, pulling away before too long - mostly to keep herself from doing anything too stupid...

And then she looks down at that other car, again, and suddenly notices something.]

... I think that guy just gave me a thumbs-up.

The view in here is way better. ♥ *Hikaru kisses back--though, yeah, also trying her best to keep it a little restrained, given the circumstances. It's all too easy to conjure up visions of them getting a bit too into it, to the point where they're still kissing when the ride's over.*

*And then Megumi mentions the other car, and . . . sigh.* . . . They seriously need to make these cars with curtains or something.

I think that'd kinda ruin the point. [At least the thumbs-up thing is better than a lot of other possibilities. She lets it go and kisses Hikaru on the cheek again, stroking her hair as she does.]

I just wish that we could . . . you know, get away with it. Getting all snuggly without anyone else minding or paying attention.

Well... Ogachin said she was open about it when she lived in London, and she didn't have much trouble... [What was it she had said, again? And wow, she never thought Ogachin's advice would actually be useful.]

She said where you are makes a lot of difference. So, we should move to London!

*This might normally be where someone would shoot that idea down as silly, or at least as wishful thinking, but Hikaru just grins a little.*

Yeah, I'd be lying if I said I'd hadn't thought about it. The stories she's told me make it sound so amazing . . .

That'll probably have to wait until we're a little bit older, though. [The thought that her and Hikaru might have broken up by then never even enters Megumi's mind. They're them, after all. Them dating might be a relatively recent thing, but she can't imagine spending her life with anyone else.

Uh, how's your English, by the way? Mine's kinda... [Yeah.]

Haha, yeah. But it's fun to think about, right? And, well, my English grades are awesome, but I kinda wonder if I'd be able to hold up a conversation . . .

You could practice with Ogachin, maybe? Actually talking in English, and stuff. [And she could... work on getting above 'barely passing.' Oh hey... they're slowly approaching the top. She leans over to kiss Hikaru on the cheek, making a point of not looking at the other cars.]

Moving there aside... it'd be nice to visit London, wouldn't it?

Yeah! It's even legal for two men or two women to get married in some places in America and Europe.
