The Body Heat Meme



Post with your character! They're now stuck in a very cold place of your choice. It can be anything, such as a freezing chamber, a cavern or a small cabin in the midst of a blizzard. The choice is up to you.
Comment around! Now your character has some company in this bone-chilling environment. The two of them share two things in common: clothes completely unfitting for this weather (be they summer clothes or even lingerie) and a blanket.
A blanket? Yes, just one warm blanket and no other ways to escape the cold. The two of them will have to share it in order to stay alive in this weather. Don't worry, you're sure to find a common language in this terrible situation!
So, uh, have fun, I suppose. Try to not freeze to death!
Protip: friction and body heat are both excellent ways to fend off cold.

Winter nights at the shrieking shack are definitely not a pleasant experience. Even less pleasant it becomes when the only time they have to sneak out is after dinner without any winter appropriate clothes draped on any shoulders.

Remus tries to keep warm by pacing and rubbing his hands over his arms time and time again. But it does little to keep the warmth preserved on his skin.

It's still several hours before nightfall but it's already dark and cold. For once he welcomes the fur.

He wishes he would have taken his wand with him. A simple warming charm would have been enough to keep him heated for at least fifteen minutes. But he didn't want to risk losing it.

Finally he sits down beside Sirius and scoots over close enough that their arms are pressed against one another. At least this way there will be one part of his body that isn't freezing.

"When do you think James and Peter will be free?" Those two had scored some unexpected detention.

Camping was nothing new. The cave wasn't even new. What was new and entirely horrible was the blizzard raging outside. He and Bull had gotten separated from the others and it seemed wiser to wait out the worst of the storm than stumble around blind, especially in such treacherous terrain.

He'd even managed to get a fire going but that didn't stop the mage from feeling as if he was absolutely freezing. Trying not to, but then he was wholly unused to this sort of weather, and a tangle with an aggressive group of bandits had left his warmer cloak in ruins.

So he was trying to ignore just how much he was actually shivering, edging a bit closer to the fire in a futile attempt to warm up or scorch his eyebrows off trying, glancing back at where his companion was taking stock of what they had.to work with.]

Shiro had been in bed when liminal space dumped them here without a chance to change. The little cave house shelter is distressingly bare, but there's a little shelf-like niche with a single fur blanket, so he's huddled under it in his boxers and nothing else.

"Jean, seriously. You're going to freeze. Come get under here. You'll have to sit in my lap, but it'll cover us both."

[No one had expected such a bad snow storm to blow through the city; so much so Mami had some suspicions about it. She recruited her fellow magical girl Sayaka to join her to search for a possible witch, but they didn't have much luck in their search. The later the night got, the more dangerous the temperature was getting, so Mami invited Sayaka over to her apartment since it was closer.

Even her place felt cold when they got back. She worries the power might go out with how much snow is falling, but it would be okay if they were together. She tries her best to smile as she hands Sayaka a hot cup of tea.]

It is freezing in here. Shiro's head is pounding in sharp streaks of pain. Stirring, he groans and covers his eyes with his palm. But the metal is even colder than the air and he hisses, pulling it away from his skin immediately.

Shivers wrack his body as he rolls onto his side and pushes himself up onto one elbow. The first thing he sees is Lance, stripped down to his armor's undersuit lying on the floor a little ways away with a blanket carelessly tossed over his legs. Shiro instantly forgets his headache and scrambles over to Lance's side.

"Lance. Lance! Come on, wake up!" He gathers up the blanket and wraps it around his paladin, pulling Lance into his lap and wrapping his arms around him and pressing him against his chest. He chafes the blanket against Lance's arms to try and warm him up. "Come on, buddy, talk to me..."

It's summer in the city. That means, it's hot. Between the traffic and the people and all the concrete, it's like the city is a sauna, and the whole costume thing doesn't mix well. So it's great to come home and have a cool shower and be blasted with the cool, crisp air of the A/C. Really, really great.

Until the inevitable morning when it's been running all night and Matt feels like he went from oven to fridge in the span of ten hours. He tugs the blankets up and rolls himself over into Danny. Last night it had been umbearable to even touch their toes together but now Matt is pressing his chilly feet against his personal heater.
