[If you know anything about her canon, a particular take on this trope is a driving force in both the books and the show. Time travel via magic will always return her to those she loves. But even less blatantly than that, she's incredibly fierce and will risk her life for the ones she care for, no matter how far they're taken away or how long she has to fight her own way back.

I'm mostly caught up on Season Three (and I've read the books so the episodes I've missed this season, I mostly remember what happened~). Open to tagging anyone, though my kingdom for canonmates! With that being said, I'm happy to play her in the 1940s, 1740s, or at any point when she's back in her time in the 1950s and 1960s! During those times she's serving in WWII, living in Scotland and France, and then living in Boston. So either side of the Atlantic pond is your oyster.]

[ It’s the scent that always gives him away. Gino could spot the difference between someone just smoking that particular brand of cigarettes, and Kogamis unique blend anywhere. He had gotten really good at pretending that it didn’t always send a thrill up his spine every time he walked through the door and was greeted with it. Sometimes it was in the living room on the couch . Sometimes wafting down the hall from either the bathroom or for lucks sake, the bedroom.

Gino used to go to him immediately, but he had learned to relax. If he smelled it, it meant they had time. Time that was stolen from him and that he craved more than anything else in life. His pride had even taken a backseat when it came to this.

He hung his coat, slipped off his shoes, and wandered into the kitchen to grab himself a glass of water before quietly padding down the hall and leaning into his bedroom doorway to see just what the cat dragged in. ]

[ The cat's managed to drag in a man who had just successfully snuck out a couple of individuals and an important set of blueprints and plans from under Sybil's nose. The adage of cops making the most dangerous criminals still rings true-- after all, Kogami is acutely aware of where the traps and sensors are; that the system runs like clockwork is, underneath its vaunted efficiency, is also its most exploitable weakness.

But Gino doesn't need to know that. Gino doesn't need to know any of it because knowing is half the crime, and Kogami is not selfish enough to make him an accomplice.

No, he's here for different reasons. It's been two months since their last heated encounter, and this had been one of the rare opportunities to see him before he slips back beyond the net. He stubs out his cigarette when he hears the door open, picking out familiar movements outside of the bedroom.

Gino's gait has always been unmistakable, efficient and smooth. They have time tonight, and it looks like Gino is aware of it as well -- ever the quick, sharp one, picking up the breadcrumbs Kogami leaves. Kogami's leaning against the side of the window, in a black shirt and jeans, leather jacket thrown on for good measure. ]

[ The sight was...enough to make him swallow softly. Gino lazily let his gaze wash over Kogani; head to toe and then back again. He finally moved inside of the room and set his glass of water on his nightstand before slowly wandering over to see him better. The moon on his face was always nice but... ]

It keeps me from sitting here and overthinking things—so yes. What are you doing here?

[ He makes a note to wear it more often, especially if it can inspire that same look in those stunning green eyes. He can feel that gaze, sure and wanting, embers of desire stirring at the way his finger strokes down the lapel of his jacket.

New hand, he reminds himself, and he catches his wrist gently, lifting the inside of his wrist to his lips, pressing a soft kiss to it, then his palm, meeting his gaze under dark lashes. Kogami is amused, drawn, as always, to his proximity. He blithely doesn't answer the question (the less he knows, the better), and instead elects to murmur: ]
