Well. That sounds almost like an offer. That has Archie grinning.

Archie's grinning. Archie's not pulling away or tsking or looking ill at ease. That's enough to hope on, even before the words that follow.

"--I would."

To be painfully clear. As if his heart can't be heard hammering in his chest.

"I'd-- I'd really like us to-- be something. With a-- proper word to it. If you'd like that too."

A bright grin.

"I'd like that a lot."

Oh. Oh, that's wonderful.

It's impossible not to press a light kiss to Archie's nose while he tries to find his words.

"--cool."

Archie lifts his lips to steal a proper kiss from Horatio, just quickly. He's absolutely smiling into the kiss.

"Yeah." A pleased huff. "So, we're-- boyfriends, now?"

[hotspurs]

The kiss leaves him breathless. The words nearly knock him over entirely.

"--yeah." It's dizzying and entirely wonderful, something that pulls a pleased laugh to his lips. "Yeah, we're-- we're boyfriends now."

And maybe that's a small shift, in some ways, but it feels entirely amazing.

The laugh is absolutely echoed by Archie. It's a bright, pleased thing.

"Awesome."

"And... t-today is our first-- boyfriend-date, then."

Which is also fairly awesome, if anyone were to ask Horatio.

A fact which has him nearly vibrating with glee.

That's awesome. That's deeply, genuinely awesome. That needs one more tiny kiss before he can let go.

One more stolen kiss, before he does pull back.

They can head to brunch. They just have to keep holding hands. They just have to be able to press kisses to each other's knuckles as they walk.

There's no other way to walk, now.
