[ WOKE UP IN JAIL ]

Where are you? Why is your bed so hard? Why is someone peeing right by your head?
Oh right. Because you got pinched last night. Welcome to the slammer, baby.

Reason(s) you're in jail:

1. Indecent Exposure
Nobody wanted to watch you strut around with everything hanging out, and someone called you on it. Hope they gave you a jumpsuit or you're going to be prison eye candy.

2. Drunk and disorderly conduct
"Wassat, occifer? No... I'm not dru-*hic* drunk. I'm unner the legal limit. Wooo!" No, no you're not. You're way over. Sleep it off, buddy.

3. Vandalism
Oh, you naughty thing. You got busted stealing that 'Chickens X-ing' sign. Or was it drawing boobs on the drive-thru clown? Either way, tsk tsk.

4. B&E
Apparently your friend didn't think you kicking in his window to sneak in and leave him a 'present' was as good of an idea as you thought it was. Well, no love for HIM. *hmph*

5. Grand Theft Auto
The car was BEGGING to go for a ride. It called to you with its sireny car-call. And you just had to answer. If it hadn't been for the damn spike belt...

6. Kidnapping
Trust me, there are better ways to get money to pay for your Bieber concert tickets.

7. Murder
Talk about being caught red handed. You got caught red armed. And faced. And front. You're messy.

8. Any/all of the above
Ooooh... You've been REALLY naughty, haven't you? Actually, you kind of scare me.

Relationship of the person tagging:

1. Cohort in Crime.

2. Person coming to bail you out. (or not)

3. Jailer/Warden.

Steve straightened up and gestured for her to walk with him. He was considerate enough to not 'guide' her with his hand at the small of her back. He knew better. Much like Natasha, Maria Hill was a capable woman who would have no problems putting him on his ass in the middle of Time Square.

Steve did hold the door for her however, he's a gentleman, he can only restrain so much.

He sat down at a hightop table and placed his hands folded slightly on the table as she sat across from him. Once a waitress had taken their drink orders and Steve's request for a couple of appetizers Steve turned his attention back to Hill.

"So, what tips do you have for me?"

Just like Hill knew better than to argue about his old-fashioned manners. That was just part of Rogers' personality, and she'd be fighting a battle she couldn't win.

"Most assessment is purely gut instinct, which you obviously don't have a problem with," she replied. "Eyes and hands are your biggest tells. Someone who keeps scanning the area is either looking for a perfect opportunity or is waiting for the right target. If they keep patting their pockets, it's because they want to make sure they didn't lose something very important. Or they want to make sure they're ready for when the crap hits the fan."

Steve nods listening attentively to her. He already knows this fact, uses it when he's working all the time. He's not as good as Hill or Natasha but he's getting better. "God advice, very good advice. Thank you. What about tells when you're talking to someone. I know lack of eye contact is one but surely there are others that will help you know someone is lying or avoiding certain information." He asked when she was finished speaking. He sipped his drink when it arrived and kept his attention on her as she spoke. She had a lot of knowledge and he would benefit from it. There was the added bonus that he was just enjoying spending time with her. It had been a long time, a very VERY long time since he'd had the chance to just take a lady out for a drink and have her undivided attention.

"It's not just too little eye contact," she replied and sipped at her own drink. "Sometimes, people will stare you right in the face if they're trying to make a point of being truthful. Pupils tend to contract if they're uncomfortable or expand if they're trying to deny something. Blinking, fidgeting, nervous laughter, self-comforting gestures, stuff like that's a good indicator, too."

Thankfully, this was a topic Hill was both interested in and good at talking about. She absolutely hated small talk in any capacity. But keeping Rogers engaged in mundane conversation, even if there was a benefit in it for him, kept her from thinking this was anything but an after-hours training exercise between colleagues. And definitely not a date.

Steve's took in her advice and tried to translate it into something he can practice. He watched her face, looked at her eyes, her gestures and how she appeared as she sat talking to him. He had no doubt she was telling the truth.

"Do you think we could practice a bit? I know you're good at lying but I'd like to try if you're willing."

That was a bad idea; a Very Bad Idea™. Coulson had once upon a time called her on her rather obvious ogling of Rogers' assets the first time he'd walked across the helicarrier bridge. Hill couldn't help it if Rogers had a perfectly-formed rear end. Throw in the consumption of alcohol, and her filter was bound to short circuit. But she didn't get through basic at Parris Island by giving into fear.

"Alright. Ever played Two Truths and a Lie?"

Steve thought Maria was a very attractive woman but he was too much of a gentleman to do more than just occasionally make a flirty comment. He was raised during a time men treated women better, at least he treated them better, and he intended to keep doing so. Didn't mean he wasn't excited to have more of her attentions.

He picked up a french fry when their appetizers arrived and bit into it when she asked the question about the game. "No, can't say I have. I'm guessing the title is self explanatory? I'd be willing to play if you are. Would you like to go first?"
