Can't say that I want to imagine what the alternative would'a been like either.

[Not that he wants to say that he's glad that Ford was forced to go here instead of his original dream school, but it would have been pretty sad otherwise, you know?]

[Speak of the devil, but a very bold roach strides in from under the room's main door. Ford sighs, but noticing Fiddleford's hand, he places his free one on top of it (creating a hand sandwich, if you will).]

We'll rise above it together. [Together. Feeling Fiddleford at his side is quite the rush, and he doubts he'll ever tire of it. Intimacy with someone, whether romantic or otherwise, is such a novelty. Ford enjoys the sense of touch, feeling the slow rise and fall of Fiddleford's breathing and the gentle beat of his pulse.
