MINOR INJURIES MEME

You or your meme partner has been hurt, but don't worry! This time around it's not that bad. You can still limp your way out of this mess.
INJURIES.
1. Sprain/strain. How did you screw up walking?
2. Broken bones. Simple fractures still hurt.
3. Cuts. Hopefully one of you has a sewing kit.
4. Burns. Location, location, location. Let's pray this one isn't on your ass.
5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.
6. Other. I'm not a doctor.
HOW'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Stupidity. You did this to yourself.
2. Accident. Is an unintentional attack still an attack?
3. Attack. Don't lie, you deserved it.
4. Other. It's probably still your own fault.
WHERE'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

[It isn't said nonchalantly, it's only a matter of fact with 76. He would have made sure Hanzo was fine, then finished. He checks his back pocket with his gloved hand, shifts to set a pulse beacon down on the crate behind Hanzo. It won't be enough to heal the damage immediately, not with the energy left in it. Used the damn thing too much on a mission. He continues what he was doing, moves to clasp a hand over the wound, a bandage between them to apply pressure.] If you passed out, though. Guess that would reflect poorly on me.
Would you be mad, when you woke up later?
no subject
Hanzo hissed when 76 pressed the bandage to the wound with enough pressure that he can only assume that the older man is attempting to stop the bleeding.] Allow me. [It's more of a demand than a request as he places his hand on top of the one already there to apply strong enough pressure to show that he can take over.]
On both of us. I was trained to withstand a great deal of pain. To pass out would be shameful for me, heh. [A smile.] Possibly. I would be a great many things. Grateful would be among those things. [Hanzo carefully turns himself to face 76 with his hand still applying pressure as he looks over the soldier.] Are you injured?
no subject
[A pause as he listens, barely a glance up for the answer and he can't help but find himself smiling, although the action goes missed with his mask. He shakes his head at the question, looking down to his hand, the fingers curling as he makes an assessment of himself.] Couple of grazes from the turret. Don't think I took anything as bad.
[His jacket's torn down his right side, a few tears from bullets he barely missed, some that almost hit. The bleeding's stopped by now but the exposure could be a thing that gets him if he doesn't treat them right.]
Why, you wanna return the favor?
no subject
Perhaps I should have stood behind you. [It's a joke but he's too bitter about the failed mission to properly laugh. Instead he examines the older man, tugging his jacket aside to examine what appeared to be a very close call. Still, there were scrapes and a few open wounds that worry him.]
It is only fair. Unless you do not fear infection. [Hanzo's brows lift as if waiting for a response to that rhetorical question. He doesn't carry disinfectant on his person but he does have something else.]
Take that off. [He tugs at the jacket and takes a rounded container of sake from his obi. It wasn't proper antiseptic, but it would do for now.]
no subject
The tug at the jacket has him frowning and the silence for it indicates his glare, but he doesn't shove the other away for it. All the protest is more bark than bite at the moment, because he doesn't want to ruin his night further. Taking any of it out on the others is a temptation, but - he's learned. He's come farther than his impulses.] I don't, but I'm gonna have to take care of this sooner or later.
Rather it be sooner while we have the breathing room. [Although, he is eyeing Hanzo's method of cleaning the wounds before he moves to shrug off his jacket, black undershirt out of the way of the visible wounds.]
no subject
Sooner is a good choice, my friend. [For a moment he's sure the older man will refuse any offer of help, but when 76 complies he doesn't hesitate in using the makeshift antiseptic to clean the wounds as they're exposed. Anyone else might have given a courtesy warning before beginning, but they don't have time for such pleasantries when it's likely there are others that need to be helped as well.
When he's finished applying the last bandage he rinses his hands again and clears his throat.] This should be fine until we are back and Dr. Ziegler can see to you. [Hanzo pulls the soldier's shirt back in place and attempts to help him with his jacket but he expects to be met with resistance since the older man was fiercely independent, much like himself.]
no subject
That's only gonna make this more difficult, after all. He's breathing easier when the other finishes soon enough, giving a nod before waving a hand to the further attempts to help him dress.]
I've got it. [Is the rough answer he gives before he shoves his jacket back again, ignoring the flash of pain up his side. A glance back to Hanzo and then the beacon behind him before he settles again.] ... Thanks.
Next time, think it might be better to have you scout instead of on the ground. Thoughts?
no subject
Hanzo tries his best to work through the sounds of 76's suffering and doesn't allow himself to make any sort of comment on it. The deed is done after some time and he allows the older male to handle dressing himself again, brow lifting curiously when he expects the soldier to let out some sign that he's in pain. When it doesn't happen he simply nods his head and steadies himself against the crate near him.] It was nothing.
Hm. [A thoughtful pause is all he needs to run through the possibility.] I agree. I generally tend to do better on higher ground, better visibility. Scouting ahead would have given a more favorable outcome. [He frowns at the recent memory of their mission and thinks through any other possible correctible mistakes.]
The younger agents. They do not work well under pressure when shouting is involved... In case you had not noticed.
no subject
You'll start from the high ground then. We'll see if we can buy you some time to get situated, depending on the next mission. [A grunt in agreement as he thinks, going over possible plans already. The next set of comments though has him furrowing his brows, the edges of them barely visible over his visor.] They could learn to.
[Although this is hardly a protest.] You're telling me to shout less.
no subject
Hanzo manages to follow the old soldier's train of thought as he speaks, visualizing the scenario in his head as he tilts his head to look upward at nothing in particular. Hopefully the next mission goes much better than this one. He doesn't think he has it in him to go through anything like that again. The next time they will be more prepared.]
I am suggesting you try a different approach. Perhaps it will be more effective. [Hanzo is the last person who should be telling anyone to shout less, but all the difference was in the tone. While 76 came off as nagging, Hanzo tends to come off bossy. Neither was great at teamwork but the two of them were some of the best tacticians on the Overwatch roster. ]
More assertive, less....noisy.
no subject
First of all, how dare you.If looks could kill, maybe they would be digging back into Hanzo's shoulder wound for the idea. There's some offense to it although he knows the answer seems rational. At first, anyway. Shouting is the only way he can compensate for the noises across a battlefield at times but he can see where the other is coming from. However, it's something else, being told that.] More assertive. I don't think you're quite hearing me when I shout on the field if you think I need to be more assertive.
What specifically brought this on? [He's gonna love this, he can tell.]
no subject
I am simply offering my opinion. There is no need to become defensive. [He's not deliberately trying to tease the old soldier, but there was only so much that could be blamed on translational misunderstandings. The rest of it was just the archer fucking with him a bit.]
[To show this was his own way of jesting, he reaches out his uninjured arm to pat 76's shoulder.] I was reminded when you brought up battle strategy. In all honesty it was not so bad, all things considered. A group of skilled individuals are only as good as their ability to cooperate. With time we all will improve.
no subject
The pats makes him glance at the spot, unsure how to receive it for a moment before he straightens up and shakes it off. Even if the age difference wasn't as much as it was between him and one of the youngest in Overwatch, he still felt a little silly taking such reprimand from the other.] Fine, I'll keep it in mind for the next time.
[Before they discovered a field full of turrets. That seemed to be the smarter choice, the unsaid part that was holding up all of their shame.]
Agreed. I'm gonna go talk with the others about training early in the next few days when we get back. I trust you'll attend? [He wasn't sure how things between the Shimadas were currently, but considering that he and Hanzo seemed to be on some sort of even footing, 76 wanted to believe it was working for the better.]
no subject
Hanzo's not sure how much they could do to prepare for an area peppered with long range high powered turrets, but if they all trained together it could help with their cohesiveness as a team.] I will be there. It will be beneficial to all parties. [The Genji issue was still complicated, but at the very least he was willing to try. Which was why he was even working with Overwatch in the first place.]
Thank you. For listening as well as the first aid.
no subject
C'mon, we should head back. [Reaching behind Hanzo for his beacon, takes in a breath.] I'm not good at "bonding".
no subject
Interesting. We have something in common. [The expression on his face is one of mild amusement, but it fades quickly when Winston announces over coms that they have plans for extraction back to the watchpoint.]
no subject
[There might be amusement in his voice. Still, he listens to the comm and shakes his head, motions.] You can try again on the way back.
