scenarios;

① fuck the police, this is the best time for a walk. hope you've got a nice thick coat on.
② stranded in the buttcrack of nowheresville? weren't you watching the time? now you've gone and missed that last bus out of there. or maybe you're lost, somehow. what do?
③ literally chilling, in this weather, is quite easy to do. sitting around relaxing in it is a wee more difficult, but sometimes much more enjoyable, especially if shelter can be found. the snow is beautiful to watch, after all.
④ the weather's not going to stop you. your snow fort's packed full of ammo and ready to go. those aren't snow angels over there; they mark where the poor souls you've downed have fallen. be careful with that snowman's head!!
⑤ you're about fifty miles from civilization but there's a roof over your head, so never mind the chilly draught, right? right. you mightn't be the only one lucky enough to stumble upon this little shelter, though. remember to share the blanket.
⑥ everyone stuck outside should be jelly. you've got a fireplace and hot cocoa and damn if it isn't awesome. a heater's not quite so romantic, but it'd do. there'd better be a backup generator in case the power trips.
⑦ mix and match, or make up your own.

No, really. It was at least seven feet tall and five feet wide, possibly larger but he had no inclination to measure the dimensions. Given what they had been working with (snow) and the probable culprits (their army) it was remarkably well done. Whoever had sculpted it had been dedicated, and what they lacked in terms of artistic skill they made up for with passion and tenacity. They had been inspired.

Judging from the kimono and the used weapons which adorned it, it appeared to have been a joint Nohr and Hoshido team effort, which Takumi felt like he'd appreciate (he...guessed) if it hadn't been for the fact that it was a dirty snow sculpture, and not just in the someone hit it with dirty sort of 'dirty' way.]

( when one walks the fine edge between two domains, the prince of darkness notices.

mortality was ingrained even in the immortal; life on earth was the domain of the king of the sky. but life rots, from the very moment of its conception and by that very notion, it becomes his. it is in life's nature to rot.

perhaps it would not be a leap to say that the creatures that walk the earth now, that linger on that threshold that could serve to displace them against time itself are still far more loved by the darkness of his domain than the light of the other.

still, they are curious. humanity is compelling, in a way a book might be in the quiet tandem of a boring day.

he does not appear with the grandeur one might expect of a god. evil (though he is not that) is nothing unusual in this world; neither is darkness or shadow. life and death. it is all how it has always been.

there mayhaps not be a particular interest in mika; or mayhaps there is - humanity in something inhuman.

he appears in shadows, or perhaps he has been sitting there for a long time. the snow around him - them - settles on the ground, floats through the air, though when it reaches the darkness of his limbs, it simply disappears, melts away into a void rather than settling against it.

so it is.

the youth has not taken note of him yet, until :) Hmm...

( a hum. that is all he offers. he is simply curious for the reaction of the other. simply curious to see a once-human walk along the brink of the land he rules. (the earth, perhaps, has always been his. all that the light does not hide, all that wraps itself in shadows - all is welcomed in the embrace of his abyss).

he has no expectation set for how this conversation will go; does not breach mika's thoughts, even though he will not need to just to hear them. whatever he may hear he ignores; he respects it.

hades has always been a quiet god. this world has changed much. it was often better to simply observe.)

[It was an unprecedented event for Asahi, even in his third year at Karasuno High School; the snow was falling so heavily that the principal issued a lockdown for all the clubs and teams still in the building. Everyone, students and staff alike, were sent to the first gym to wait out the end of the snowfall and subsequent plowing of the roads before they could go home.

Asahi was nervous, and opted to put himself to good use and help the team managers pass out supplies in Yachi's stead, while Hinata sat by her and assured her they'd be just fine. Fortunately, one of the school's office assistants had found a large supply of hot drink mixes, and small cups of hot tea and cocoa were being handed out in the gym.

Most people were sitting with their teams or clubs, which meant that the Karasuno boys' volleyball team had commandeered a corner of the gym for themselves. Even so, Asahi noticed Tsukishima sitting aside of everyone else (even Yamaguchi, who was also had joined Hinata's cause for distracting Yachi), with his headphones over his ears. He hesitantly hovered near his teammate until Tsukishima noticed him, then held out one of the small cups.]
