1. Royalty You are the prince or princess of a faraway kingdom. Are you a kind and generous ruler or are a royal pain? Maybe it's that time for you to think about the future and start looking for a husband or bride. Have you ever been outside the castle walls? Do you have any interest in stepping outside your cozy world at all? 2. Runaway Prince/Princess Whatever the reason, you couldn't take living in the castle anymore! You packed up a few belongings (or maybe a few too many) and now, you are on the run! How long you've been on the run is up to you. Be careful that no one finds out who you are or they might send you back to the castle and you wouldn't want that! 3. Knight in Shining Armor Are you in the kingdom to fight in a tournament? Maybe you are being sent away to slay the evil dragon? Whatever your purpose is, you are a noble and loyal knight sworn to serve. . . whether you like it or not. 4. Magician You are the greatest magician in all the land! . . . Or are you? You can be a few things with this: The court magician, an evil wizard, or maybe magic is forbidden in your kingdom and you're keeping your powers a secret. And what is your power? Can you cure an illness, make love potions, blow things up, or are you dabbling in the dark arts and a master of curses? 5. Enchanted creature Your character can be any fantastic creature-- dragon, unicorn, mermaid, Tinker Bell, or perhaps you were once a human but some horrible spell has turned you into what you are now. Beware! There are some who might want to harm you for one reason or another. . . or maybe the humans are the one who should be aware of you. 6. Questionable occupation Gotta eat to live and you gotta steal to eat. Whatever your place in society is right now, it's not a good one. You don't have a problem breaking the law to accomplish whatever it is you want (or need) to do. You might be the pirate king that terrorizes the coastal kingdoms or a common thief stealing just to get a meal. Once the officials get their hands on you, it's to the dungeons with you! 7. Commoner Who are you? No one special. .. or are you? Maybe you're the servant and close friend of someone at the castle. But then again, you might be someone on the outside that daydreams of what it's like in the castle. God damnit.... [ The Englishman's cape billows out behind him as he dashes down the city streets, ducking into the darkness of an alleyway with incredible speed. Behind him, the thunder of foot steps, Knights of the Diamond Kingdom, threatens to overwhelm the citizens of the town. ]

[ But Arthur knows this town well, far better than anyone from Diamonds, and he knows who he has to turn to. Just a few more streets, and Arthur begins his dash, as quiet as a mouse, as quick as a panther. His breathing is ragged and his pulse, quickened. But the door he's searching for comes into sight, and in one slick movement, he's inside the establishment in a flash of black. ]

Rotters. The lot of them, rotters. [ The cape is shucked and he storms into the inn, heavy-set scowl etched into his features. ] They don't even know what they're chasing. I should have turned them all into frogs, it'd match that pompous, unbearable King of theirs. [ His snarls die down and Arthur regulates his breathing, peering about the building. ]

[Kozak was once a well-respected adviser to the royal family, their court-appointed potion maker. Unfortunately for him, a recently arrived apprenticeship had skill and jealousy in equal measures, and Kozak ended up cursed with dog-like characteristics. He was promptly banished. The royal courts have standards, you see, and one having a fluffy tail and a very keen sense of smell are decidedly against those standards. For some reason.

He's taken to the distant forest lands at dawn and abandoned there with nothing but the clothes on his back. Kozak wanders aimlessly for an hour before he hears another nearby. He freezes and calls out in a cautious whisper.]

[Have you ever seen a fox with white fur before? Even if you have, it's likely you've not seen one that has a pink tail during your lifetime.]

[Mitsunari has often been told that his sharp tongue would one day get him into trouble, and sure enough, one day he was rude to the wrong person. Snapping at a certain witch one too many times cost him his land, his power and his own humanity, and so now he was forced to live as a fox. Sure, he was clever enough to keep himself alive and well, out of range of a hunter's bow, but when you've lived in a castle for most of your life, eating birds raw is not exactly much fun.]

[That's not even the worst of it.]

[Mitsunari is currently curled up on a rock, catching some sun while his eyes remain open. Stupid witch, stupid curse, stupid way of breaking the curse. How is he supposed to fulfill such terms when he's like this? Intelligence helps to keep him alive, but it's not doing much for getting his human body back.]

[ Allen was on his way to the next town, to deliver a message and he slows when he catches sight of something unusual.

The flash of pink was what caught his attention, it's too bright to be any flower that would be growing in this season. Squinting against the sun, he finally makes out the shape of the fox. Strange.

He debates approaching, since the creature is so unusual. It could possible be more than just an animal, he'd heard tales of strange folk with different powers in these parts after all. ]

[Gilbert took one more furtive glance around before he jumped. He landed awkwardly and winced, but didn't hang around, taking off like the hounds were after him. Well, perhaps they were. It depended if they'd found out that he'd gone or not yet. He hadn't exactly planned this - it was just that there was a meeting this afternoon that he really didn't want to go to. Sitting in a stuffy room with a load of pompous idiots wasn't exactly his cup of tea. A rope out the window, rope burn on his hands, and a leg up from one of the guards on the wall that he got on with was all it took for glorious freedom.

Skidding to a halt a safe distance from the palace, he checked his pockets. No wallet. Fuck. Ah well. There was a pub not too far away that knew him and that he always (eventually) paid his tab. He'd head there. Keeping his hands in his pockets, he whistled happily as he headed off. This could only end well.]
