Fantasy AU Meme 1. Comment with your character. You can leave your comment blank or type up a prompt if you know what you want already. 2. 1. Royalty You are the prince or princess of a faraway kingdom. Are you a kind and generous ruler or are a royal pain? Maybe it's that time for you to think about the future and start looking for a husband or bride. Have you ever been outside the castle walls? Do you have any interest in stepping outside your cozy world at all? 2. Runaway Prince/Princess Whatever the reason, you couldn't take living in the castle anymore! You packed up a few belongings (or maybe a few too many) and now, you are on the run! How long you've been on the run is up to you. Be careful that no one finds out who you are or they might send you back to the castle and you wouldn't want that! 3. Knight in Shining Armor Are you in the kingdom to fight in a tournament? Maybe you are being sent away to slay the evil dragon? Whatever your purpose is, you are a noble and loyal knight sworn to serve. . . whether you like it or not. 4. Magician You are the greatest magician in all the land! . . . Or are you? You can be a few things with this: The court magician, an evil wizard, or maybe magic is forbidden in your kingdom and you're keeping your powers a secret. And what is your power? Can you cure an illness, make love potions, blow things up, or are you dabbling in the dark arts and a master of curses? 5. Enchanted creature Your character can be any fantastic creature-- dragon, unicorn, mermaid, Tinker Bell, or perhaps you were once a human but some horrible spell has turned you into what you are now. Beware! There are some who might want to harm you for one reason or another. . . or maybe the humans are the one who should be aware of you. 6. Questionable occupation Gotta eat to live and you gotta steal to eat. Whatever your place in society is right now, it's not a good one. You don't have a problem breaking the law to accomplish whatever it is you want (or need) to do. You might be the pirate king that terrorizes the coastal kingdoms or a common thief stealing just to get a meal. Once the officials get their hands on you, it's to the dungeons with you! 7. Commoner Who are you? No one special. .. or are you? Maybe you're the servant and close friend of someone at the castle. But then again, you might be someone on the outside that daydreams of what it's like in the castle. You are just a commoner and that will never change. . . or maybe destiny has something bigger in store for you. 8. Roll Again/Your Choice ( code。 )

[ She rolls her eyes a bit, but otherwise doesn't comment. She supposes she can't fault him for being diligent now at least.

She nods earnestly. ]

Sim. I need a lift, to the nearest coastal city. I need to be there by tomorrow and I don't have a horse.

The nearest coastal city? ( It takes him a moment to figure out where that would be. ) That would be Gader.

( Wait, what about his horse. He looks at his horse and then back at the traveler and back at his horse and back again. )

I can't give away my horse.

Gader? Sim, that will do. [ And then have a sigh. ]

Aiee, I wasn't expecting you to. [ She pets the horse's nose. ] I expect you to escort me instead. [ So much more convenient... ]

( The horse gives a huff and kicks at the ground. WHAT A DEMANDING TRAVELER THIS LITTLE GIRL IS WOW.

Antonio brings a hand to the back of his neck and tries to think. He really had to get back to the castle. He was already running late. )

I don't know. . . I suppose if you don't mind stopping by the castle in the next kingdom for a moment. Caballo and I have been traveling for a long time and we'd have to refresh some.

[ Caballo... Is she really going to trust a man who calls his horse... Horse... Apparently so. But that suggestion is AWFUL in her opinion, cue the outburst. ]

[ Oh, right. Calm down, princess. ]

I-I mean... Sim. That sounds... Reasonable. I suppose. [ She hasn't seen the nobles living there in a good few years after all, there's a very good chance that they won't recognise her. ]

( WHY IS SHE RAISING HER VOICE AT HIM??? He leans back some and raises a brow curiously at her. He'll also look at Caballo who seems to be thinking the same thing as him. )

That's good! I suppose we should go now then. We can stay the night and leave in the morning.

( He holds out a hand to her, )

Sir Antonio Fernandez-Carriedo. But just Antonio will work. And this is Caballo.

[ Oh god, well it doesn't seem like he suspects her still. Maybe just thinks she's a bit... Temperamental. Which she is. ]

[ She takes his offered hand. ] Ah, nice to meet you both. My name is... Maria. [ Wow Ana, what an original name to come up with. Oh well, it isn't as bad as Caballo for a horse at least. ]

I suppose you'll want a ride into the kingdom, no?

( Caballo kicks at the ground and doesn't appear to be all to pleased. )

Oh, come, Caballo, don't be rude. ( A huff, ) Perhaps it would be easier if you took down your hood for him. You must admit, you do look slightly suspicious.

[ Bawww but horsey she wants to be your friend ;; She reaches to pet his nose reassuringly and then Antonio makes that suggestion... Great... ]

A-Ah, um, very well... [ Okay, she knows what to do. Maybe. She faces away from the man, as she lowers her hood for the horse to see her face properly. Just for a moment though, before quickly covering her head again and turning back to Antonio. ]

( It happens so quickly, he isn't really sure what to think of it but it's enough for Caballo who will bow his head down for her to pet him. Nice lady, Caballo can see now that you aren't a thief. )

I-it looks like it! ( Antonio comes over to hold Caballo's reigns, ) Can you get up on your own or. . .

( He doesn't really want to insult her but she is rather short and Caballo is a good sized horse. )

[ Nice horsey ;w; Pet, pet, pet. But she wrinkles her nose a little in distaste at the man's suggestion. Yes, she is aware that she's rather short. And not happy about it. ]

I can manage perfectly well by myself, obrigada...

[ And she can! ...Sort of.

It takes a bit of a run up for her to get her foot in the stirrup and a lot of scrabbling and it's certainly not the most graceful thing anyone's ever seen, but she does get up. Somehow.

...Pity her hood falls down in the process. Oh god. Please don't recognise her. ]

( No, he won't laugh, but he will give an incredulous look at the display for a moment. He'll also stare a moment at her face now that he has a good look.

He can't say she looks particularly familiar but. . . Well, it's rude to stare so he'll busy himself with making sure she's all set in place. He wouldn't want her to fall off! Once he's sure, he'll begin to lead Caballo. Aaand he'll try to make conversation. )

So why are you traveling, miss?

Hm? [ She considers how to answer that, whilst hurriedly pulling her hood back up. She doesn't feel the need to hold onto anything when the horse starts moving, she's obviously ridden before. ]

...My parents think it's time I got married, but I disagree. So I'm leaving for a while. [ She's not lying at least. Just conveniently forgetting the royalty part of it all. ]

So you haven't met anyone you liked yet, huh?

( Laughing. Stubborn women are nothing new to Spain at all and by now, he's really learned ot just roll with what comes. )

[ She actually laughs a bit at that, looking thoughtful as she reaches out to pet Caballo's neck as they walk along. ]

Princes are actually very overrated. But I suppose I shouldn't be saying such a thing in front of a knight, sim?

( A thoughtful look, an amused smile, and a casual shrug of the shoulders. He recalls his own king and his two sons. The king was a big and strong man, a renowned conqueror of kingdoms! But his boys werea little on the weak side. . . )

Maybe you can find a handsome knight instead then, Miss Maria.

( He honestly doesn't mean to be flirting. )

Hmm, you wouldn't say that if you met some more of them. [ Oh wait. That might sound a bit odd coming from a simple peasant girl. So she clams up.

Socially awkward princess is awkward and whether he means that next bit to sound like flirting or not, she goes a tiny bit pink at that, albeit with a stubborn mulish look on her face. ]

I've never thought about it.

Oh, there are bound to be a few bad grapes on the vine, I'm sure.

Hmm, I think it would be very romantic. But there aren't many princesses and even fewer willing to marry less than a Duke.

Because they do what is expected of them, sim? Perhaps if they had more of a choice in the matter and their silly father let them marry whoever they wish to instead of forcing them to meet all of these awful prince suitors--

My father is a very stubborn man. [ Now you see where she gets it from... But shhhhhh. ] But it doesn't matter. If I meet the right person I will love them no matter what he thinks. [ STUBBORN LOOK, she even clenches her fists a little.
