It's a person, a person you're realizing you never want to lose and to whom you're forever grateful, no matter if your feelings toward them are romantic or platonic. Years had past since he last saw her on Ravenhill, and yet she never really left his thoughts, not entirely. He had carried on, facing many new perils and adventures, and yet, somehow, she always crept back into his mind, like a dream that one could simply not shake.

He almost did not say anything when he saw her, for he was not sure he would be welcome. Still, they had been friends... It seemed wrong to slip away without a word.

Clearing his throat to alert her to his presence first, he stepped forward, out of the shadows.

Roger's been on the road for a long time, travelling from village to village hawking her wares. It's a fantastic life, one she enjoys, but as her years grow longer and the days grow colder, she's finding it harder to get excited to spend cold nights camping in her cart between settlements.

She'd always liked the Tonnaw folk best out of all the people in the world- their attitude to sex and bonding and life chimed with her personal feelings far better than most human social mores, so it seemed natural that she was among her Tonnaw friends rather than her human friends when she voiced the thoughts that had been playing in her mind.

[ This is it. Nervous butterflies erupt within to flutter in her stomach with excitement. In her hands is the last box. And once she steps through the door and into the apartment within, she will be officially moved.

In disbelief, she pauses to let everything sink in. After the past month and a half, this is not the place she would have imagined herself to be. Glancing up she stares inside the room, the door still propped open for her. It's truly been an incredible roller coaster ride to get here. To think that after losing all of her memories, she's come so far now. It's strange, but... while it has been scary at times, she's never felt truly alone during the incredible road to recovery. As though someone has been there to help guide her all along the way.

Brows scrunching, she shakes her head after a moment. Well, it only goes to figure she wouldn't have felt alone through it all. And that reason stands within the apartment before her now.

Ikki. Her roommate. Her boyfriend. The man who had confronted even her father, and who had stood up for her against all the odds. And now he's opened up his home to her. She can't help but wonder what else the future holds in store for them. Which is why, lingering in the doorway now, she can scarcely believe that she's been so fortunate.

Verity's apartment is a modest pre-war one-bedroom that has a nice kitchen and quiet neighbors.

Verity's home is a not modest at all Loki, who has smiles and mischief and her heart.

There's no contest. She'd rather be waiting for Loki when he gets home from another no doubt wonderful meeting with the All-Parents, a bottle of his favorite mead waiting for him and a pot of his favorite beef stew simmering on the stove than anywhere else. His apartment might not be home to either of them any more than hers is, but pretty soon he'll be there too and everything will be home.
