1. Playground: You're on a playground, either wrangling a small child or you're playing on the best playground, ever.

2. Toys: You're a kid in a toy store! Hooray!
Or..You're an adult in a toy store! Damn it!

3. Big Bad "something or other": You're a scared small children for some reason, maybe there's thunder or explosions or something.

4. Food Too much sugar, too much something or other.

5. Making Friends and Wildcard option: Your character's a kid. Go nuts with that.

[ Raphael slid behind her, putting his hand on her back - gently - to coax her to sit up straight, before picking up a brush and putting it in her much smaller hand, his fingers wrapped around her hand to hold it properly. ]

[It's been a quiet night out in Gotham tonight. Grayson had sent him after some thugs who had taken off in the middle of a drug bust after the two of them had finished dealing with the ones in charge, and it had taken all of seven minutes to track them down, knock them out cold, and put in a call to the GCPD. He's at ground level still, making his way through familiar winding alleys that will take him to his designated meeting spot with Grayson when he notices a few lowlifes laughing to themselves and staring at something on the ground.

Never a good sign.

His eyes narrow and he approaches with his hood drawn and two batarangs ready as he attempts to get a good look at what they're doing before attacking anything. Apparently attacking first and asking questions later wasn't how Robin was supposed to work. Who knew.]

[Ame didn't like being lost. He isn't the least bit accustomed to a big city--especially nothing larger than a handful of people, as someone who's lived isolated for the majority of his little life--but the fact that it's so dark and dank just scares him out of his wits. He'd cried about it, until he heard shouts of people, loud pops. Fear had him yelping into the form of a small wolf pup.

And with that, he decided to scurry along the corners, trying to find his way back home. Where would he go? Tiny, soft fur, big hazel eyes, a mop of hair, little paws, he's only better at hiding in this form, faster at running. But he's still small, and he can't find his mother. Fear over stumbling across anyone else he doesn't know keeps him from howling out for her, and his nose can't pick up her scent at all, or Yuki's. Did he get lost?

It doesn't help that he's hungry or confused, and even less when he runs into a small pack of people. With a squeak, Ame tries to jump back, but they're much bigger, already faster having caught him by surprise. He's trapped behind them. With a small whimper, he slinks closer to the wall. They're just like the big boar behind his house... Yuki always tells him to fight back, to bark at them and scare them away, but they're so much bigger. He lets out a bark, an attempt--and they laugh, just moving closer. It didn't work. Whimpering, he just pulls himself in more and hopes they'll leave him alone.]

[Unfortunately, Gotham doesn't draw the kind of scum that leaves people alone. They are exactly the kind of lowlifes to enjoy kicking around a defenseless animal.

It's probably what they're about to start doing when Robin catches sight of what's going on and uses his grapple to swing overhead, landing easily between the small puppy and the approaching thugs. He doesn't bother with any sort of witty comeback as Grayson or Brown would have, instead immediately springing into action and dispatching them with perhaps slightly more violence than was neccessary.

He really doesn't like people who pick on animals.

Thugs having run crying or laying unconscious on the floor, Damian turns back to the dog, no...wolf? It has to be a wolf pup. Strange but then this is Gotham.

He kneels carefully a few feet away and holds out one hand for the pup to sniff.]

They will not harm you anymore.

She's growing up. She's getting closer, every day, to being a big kid like her cousin Arik. She's been starting to do math the big kids do and she's been reading books with multisyllabic words and she's beginning, just barely, to be able to follow the thread of her parents' conversations about philosophy (at least as much as her Uncle Edgar ever seems able to).

Which means she should be leaving alone little kid things. She shouldn't be excited about candy or things that sparkle or, say, the most amazing playground she's ever seen in the shape of what looks, from her inexpert calculations, to be very much a scale replica of a blue whale.

She just needs to linger near it for a minute. That's all. She'll keep following Arik along in a minute. Just one little minute.

She's growing up. She's doing it so fast Arik can scarcely believe it. She's going to be all grown up before he knows it.

Which is why it makes him smile to see her so captivated by the whale. Which is why he'll backtrack to ruffle her hair affectionately.

It's nice, having two dads--and he always feels like he does, no matter how obvious it is that he belongs more to one than the other. Both men have time and attention for him--and for Arik. Both of them take care and bandage wounds and kiss foreheads and hold in tight, safe hugs. Both men can be turned to with the same impunity with which he turns to his mother.

The problem isn't that Elliot is out on a mission. The problem is that Edgar and Rachel are in a room all the way down the hall, and the hall is precisely where the terrifying creaking noises are coming from.

It's all he can do, really, to get to the other side of the room and scramble up into his older brother's bed, really.

It's nice having two dads. More than that, it's nice having a brother, regardless of what genetics might actually decree their exact relations are. Arik honestly wouldn't have it any other way.
