minor injury meme.

You or your meme partner has been hurt, but don't worry! This time around it's not that bad. You can still limp your way out of this mess.
INJURIES.
1. Sprain/strain. How did you screw up walking?
2. Broken bones. Simple fractures still hurt.
3. Cuts. Hopefully one of you has a sewing kit.
4. Burns. Location, location, location. Let's pray this one isn't on your ass.
5. Concussion. No, they're most likely not holding up fifteen fingers.
6. Other. I'm not a doctor.
HOW'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Stupidity. You did this to yourself.
2. Accident. Is an unintentional attack still an attack?
3. Attack. Don't lie, you deserved it.
4. Other. It's probably still your own fault.
WHERE'D IT HAPPEN.
1. Home. Did you remember to invest in a first aid kit?
2. School/Work. This should be excellent for getting you out of doing stuff!
3. Outdoors. Predators like the smell of blood. Clean up asap.
4. In the water. Hopefully there aren't any sharks!
5. Other. Like a hospital. That'd be handy.

But today was a bit different. He was near Professor Oak's lab with Pikachu and a few of his Pokemon when he saw a runaway Growlithe trying to attack some Rattatas. He stopped the Growlithe and helps the Rattatas escaped, but not without some usual cuts and scrapes and even a sprained ankle.
He's never heard of wild Growlithe near Pallet Town though, so put two and two together and wondered if the Growlithe ran away from the lab. It's close by and it might be another trainer's. So with the help of one of his Pokemon who carries the unconscious Growlithe he makes his way to the Lab doing his best to ignore the pain in his ankle that only increases with each step he takes.
It's much harder than avoiding these cuts and scrapes. But he manages to make it and enters the lab. He probably should have asked a Pokemon to help him but the Growlithe was, of course, his first priority.
"Professooooor! Tracey! Are either of you here?"
no subject
"Ash! What happened?" He approaches and kneels by the unconscious Pokemon, placing a hand on it to check its vital signs, though he's looking at Ash with worry while he does so. "Is anyone else hurt?" Oh, he hopes it's just those two, but he can't know for sure.
no subject
"We were out nearby when we saw this Growlithe trying to pick a fight with some Rattata. We managed to stop it, but it kinda got injured. And since I've never heard of any Growlithe around here I wondered if it came from your Lab, Professor." He then shakes his head. "No one else is hurt. Just this Growlithe."
And him but his priorities and thoughts aren't on himself despite the throbbing pain in his ankle.
no subject
"It doesn't seem to be hurt too badly, but I'll examine it, and I can check to see if it's one of mine, too." The Growlithe doesn't seem familar -- perhaps someone's pet that ran off? "And what about you, Ash?" He spares one of his hands to point out the various wounds on him -- the ones he can see, anyway.
no subject
Ash blinks and looks at the various wounds that the Professor points out. "Me? Oh... Don't worry about 'em just focus on the Growlithe. I'll wait over here--"
He moves to take a step only to wince and fall to his knee to put a hand on his foot. That really hurt.
no subject
"Ash, I'm going to get this Growlithe somewhere it can rest. I want you to sit right there and don't move a muscle until I come back for you, alright?" If he was standing and walking on it before, it's likely not an emergency, but he still doesn't want him to aggravate it any further. "No walking, no standing, no putting your weight on that leg until I get a good look at it."
no subject
"Yeah, okay. Find a good place for that Growlithe." With that he sits completely down on the ground. It's weird to be sitting in the hallway like this, but if the Professor says so then he had no right to argue.
no subject
For a few minutes, he's gone; but soon he fulfills his promise, kneeling by Ash's side again, now with his labcoat missing. "Tracey's taking care of the Growlithe. Now let's get you somewhere we can look at that foot properly."
And without a pause, he slips his arms under Ash -- one beneath his knees, one behind his back -- in order to carry him. His friend might be able to walk while leaning on him, but he feels this is simpler and less risky.
no subject
"Great!" He'll have to say hi to Tracey later and thank him too. Before he can respond to much more he blinks in surprise at Oak's movement. This wasn't something he was very used to at all.
"U-uhh, I could have walked Professor."

But since Ash doesn't seem to be resisting, Sam lifts him up the rest of the way, re-securing his grip before heading toward the lab portion of the building. Thankfully, carrying him isn't too much trouble, as the old man is stronger than he looks... but all the same, he's glad it isn't far to go. This might not be a piggy back ride, but it still makes his back twinge a bit.

Pikachu follows at the Professor's heels as he take his trainer to the lab portion of the building. Ash stays put for the most part; he doesn't want to squirm and accidentally cause the Professor to fall or anything. That wouldn't make the situation any better.

Finally, Sam sets Ash down on a cot in a sterile-looking room, though this one seems more suited for Pokemon, considering the restraint equipment nearby. He doesn't touch it, though, but places a hand on his own back for a moment before kneeling in front of Ash.
"Ash is in good hands, Pikachu, don't worry." He goes to pet Pikachu briefly, then turns his attention to Ash's feet. "It's this one, right?" Once he gets a confirmation, he'll set to taking off the shoe and sock of that foot.
no subject
Ash takes a glance around at the room that he was set down in before settling his attention on the Professor again. He looked a little concerned at first with the Professor holding his back but he can't help but smile lightly when Pikachu is being reassured. Pikachu nods his head; he trusts that he'll be taken good care of!
"Yeah, it's that one," confirmation given, and while his shoe and sock is being taken off he tries his best to not wince in pain.

"It looks like a sprained ankle. Maybe broken, but you'd know that better than I do right now. Here, lie back and hand me the pillow."

"That could be a dislocation, then." Hmm... poking around Ash's ankle may make it worse, if it's broken or dislocated. "Perhaps the best thing would be an x-ray, just to make sure. Would that be alright?"
no subject
"An x-ray? Uh.. yeah, I guess that's okay," If it helps Professor Oak figure out the damage.
no subject
((Unfortunately my google-fu has failed me on how exactly an x-ray goes, only that it doesn't take long, so let's handwave that part?))
When the procedure is done, Sam is looking through the images on a tablet.
"Well, there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with your bones, so it probably is just a sprain." He smiles over at Ash, and holds out the tablet. "Would you like to see the pictures?"
no subject
( And handwaving X-Ray we go! )
Ash can't help but sigh in relief when he hears the news. Sure, a sprain is still bad, but at least he'll be able to get back onto his feet much sooner than if he broke something. He couldn't imagine just sitting around not being able to travel for weeks.
"That's great!" He then blinks and takes a hold of the tablet. "Uh.. sure. I'll take a look."
He looks at the moment before looking at the Professor again. "This is my foot, right? What exactly is it showing?"
