[The Doctor didn't even know how to go about this. At. All. He had feelings for Clara, yes, but showing them? He was a dead loss. Time Lords weren't supposed to be experts in the art of courtship and sex was something done behind closed doors.

Admittedly, most of it had been Hiei's avoidance or utter ignorance of what the hell all of the fuss was. He wasn't completely ignorant to sex or demon cycles, knowing damn well what breeding season and the rest meant, but up until a few years ago he hadn't really felt any urge to follow through with much of anything. He'd been too focused on training and getting stronger to fuss around breeding or even just getting off. But this time... well, he'd agreed to come to the human world without thinking and that had been the first mistake of this situation. Perhaps not the worst to be made, but it wasn't exactly comfortable to explain to Yuusuke Urameshi why it was, exactly, that he wanted to train alone instead of with him, or why he had been avoiding going to see Kurama, too, while he was there. But that had all come crashing down around him when they had all suddenly appeared at Genkai's temple that morning...

[ Sitting at the desert playground, Kaneki watches the sandbox they once played in when they were just little kids without anything to worry about. Inside their mind they recall good memories, but also very lonely ones; if they were to think further about it, they would realize their lives have been plagued with loneliness ever since they were young.

Maybe that's why they want to see each other when they meet. It's a tangible world, not real, and when eyes open, it'll all be forgotten; this is the mind of Kaneki Ken.

Rize-san is usually around, as well as their mother with her gentle and kind smile, but today they are alone. Just the two of them: the old and the new, the human and the ghoul. Well, at least one is more than the other.

Kaneki brings his cup of coffee to his lips, before he moves his hand and offers it to Kaneki. ]
