Staying in the dorms for the holidays sucked. There were good reasons for her to still be here, she knows. To catch up on studies. To finish projects before they're due. To go down the bakery nearby without needing to run just so she didn't miss her morning class. Those are very good reasons in her opinion. It's just--

Not waking up in her bedroom back in Germany is still strange to her though she's well into college at this point. More so when she knows that she should be back home. Waking up to grey-white walls instead of patterned moon and stars still has her jolt. Not hearing her mother's scolding, her brothers' fighting, her grandfather's singing out in the porch. All of it is strange.

Also a little unnerving. It's so quiet in the dorms with so many of the others gone, having run off at the first sign of freedom. At least she's not alone in it, she muses as she begins making breakfast for her and Megumi in the unholy early hours of the morning. The smell of food should be enough to wake up her roommate. If they can get through finals-- They can get through this.

She's not used to things. Not yet.

That's what's got her zoned in now, certainly, gasping for breath as her fingers pluck curiously at the sleeve of a woman with eyes like a priestess and lips like a disciple.
