It's a no-brainer that physical closeness brings a certain sense of intimacy along with it. Even more than with holding hands or even embracing, though, actually carrying someone is a level above simple closeness. You're providing support - quite literally! There's many reasons why you might have to hold a person in your arms or on your back like that: they're injured, you're faster and you both have to get away, you're trying to pull a particular spunky individual away from danger, you're teasing them, or you're just having fun.
