FOOLING AROUND

Somewhere further than making out yet not quite going all the way, "fooling around" is a time honored tradition. It's easy, low-pressure, and there are no real parameters - above the clothes or not. Sound good? Maybe you're young and want to try but not commit to anything too carnal. Similarly, you could want to explore somebody's, well, body because they're so different than you. There's also the possibility that you want to make them happy or see how they react to feeling beyond great. Could it be that you're a tease, even?

Or you could just be bored. There's nothing on TV, anyway.

Tʜᴇ Xᴇɴᴏᴘʜɪʟɪᴀ Mᴇᴍᴇ

No judgement, only tentacles.
Come one, come all, and bring your non-humans, your aliens and furries
and monsters and angels; if you have none, bring those who would love to
approach those who are inhuman in shape and mind; if you have neither, be free
to alter your characters so they may fit one side, or both. Love knows no boundaries,
after all, nor does attraction; why should species deter one from pleasure and joy?

Directions:

1. Post your character, with preferences and suggestions for those who wish to tag you. Include any information that you think will be relevant and help you find a partner!
2. Tag out to others! A thread takes two, and so does a horizontal tango. You can pick out one of the scenarios suggested below, or do your own thing, whatever. The prompts are mostly there to kick off ideas, not to bind creativity!
3. Be excellent to each other, dudes.

The HP Wizard/Witch AU Meme

Congratulations. You are now a native of the Harry Potter universe and bound to its laws. Are you a Muggle, Squib or Witch? Did you live during the Founding of Hogwarts? Were you serving as a Healer during, what the Muggles call, World War II?

Eras
1. Founders Era
"You all know, of course, that Hogwarts was founded over a thousand years ago - the precise date is uncertain - by the four greatest witches and wizards of the age. They built this castle together, far from prying Muggle eyes, for it was an age when magic was feared by common people, and witches and wizards suffered much persecution."

2. The Renaissance/Late Medieval/Tudor Period
"Though hotly denied by subsequent generations, there is ample evidence to suggest that the first Lucius Malfoy was an unsuccessful aspirant to the hand of Elizabeth I, and some wizarding historians allege that the Queen's subsequent opposition to marriage was due to a jinx placed upon her by the thwarted Malfoy."

3. Late 17th Century
The Secrecy Statute is passed. Quidditch is introduced to North America.

4. The Regency Period
The Regency Era in the United Kingdom is the period between 1811 and 1820. It also sometimes refers to a more extended time frame than the decade of the formal Regency. The period between 1795 and 1837.

5. Victorian Era
The Victorian Period ran from 1837 until Queen Victoria's death in 1901.

6. 1920s
The age of wizarding jazz? Also, Newt Scamander was commission to write the first-edition of Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. "Scamander traveled to a hundred countries across five continents researching his book, observing many magical creatures." It was published in 1927.

7. WWII
In 1945, Gellert Grindelwald is defeated but what happened before that?

8. The First Wizarding War/The Marauder Era
"Every week, news comes of more deaths, more disappearances, more torturing… The Ministry of Magic's in disarray, they don't know what to do, they're trying to keep everything hidden from the Muggles, but meanwhile, Muggles are dying too. Terror everywhere… panic… confusion…"

9. The Second Wizarding War/The Golden Trio Era
"Even my parents, they're Muggles, know something's going on."

10. The Next Generation
"In the years following the Second Wizarding War, the Ministry of Magic was massively reformed in order to put an end to prejudice based on blood status and to better combat Dark Wizards in the future.[59] In addition to the reforms of Minister Shacklebolt, Harry Potter revolutionized the Auror Office and Hermione Granger advanced the rights of magical creatures and eradicated the old pro-pure-blood laws from high up in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement."

11. To infinity and beyond!
What happens to wizarding kind in the distant or not too distant future? Hogwarts in space?

12. Choose your own!
Exactly what it says on the tin!

Rules!
1. Go to RNG to determine the era or pick the one you like best!
2. Decide if your character is a Muggle, Squib and if a witch or wizard, what sort are they?
3. Decide where your character is based. The Americas? London? Italy during the Renaissance? Someplace else?
4.  Post!
5. Tag around!
6. . . .
7. Profit! Have fun!

The Goblin Market Meme
Based on the Demon's Lexicon

A haven from magicians, a tourist trap, and most of all – a business; the Goblin Markets of the world are places of wonder and magic. Within these mobile night markets, you can find a collection of potion makers, fortune tellers, goods and true answers traded by money or favours.

Things to do:
JUST VISITING: perhaps it's your first time at the market, found through need or by invitation. Take your time browsing through the shops: enchanted weaponry, protective charms, fine crafts and decor. Go get your fortune told.

STEP IT OUT: as a dancer, you're one of the main reasons people show up. Dancing is not only a performance, but done correctly - it can call up demons who will trade their services for a price. Careful - breaking the circle or a misstep can be disastrous. No one wants to be possessed.

WHAT A LOVELY WAY TO BURN: fever fruit and fever blossom water can be a quick way to lower inhibitions. From a dancer, the fever blossom is a way to show favour. How that turns out depends on what you do after.

BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU ASK: if you need a demon's mark removed, or answers to questions that can be found nowhere else, stop by the dance circles. Demons never lie. And their price is always higher than you think it is.

HOME IS WHERE...: you have our own booth, is the leader of the market or are one of the many persons who make their home at the market. Maybe you've got your own abilities - a Pied Piper perhaps, or a necromancer. Not everyone who has magic goes on to become a magician. There's a life outside the market, yes - but it's not where your heart is set.

( inspired by a fairly obscure video game, Love Story )

Here's the thing - you're dead. No matter your precautions or lack thereof, you've reached the end of the line. Rotten luck, huh? Actually, you're one of the lucky ones, because you've been sent back. As a ghost, admittedly, but at least one person can see you.

And that's key. The conditions of your return, both to the mortal coil and, eventually, back to your body, is that you get them, your sole witness, to fall in love with you.

Oh, you also have six days. Easy enough.

THE HELPFUL HOSTAGE (maybe) (hopefully) MEME!

One of you is just going about your normal routine. The other is having the worst day of your life.

Running from a wrongful accusation of murder? Wounded by your archenemy and looking for a place to hide? Need a pilot to go after those drug lords escaping across the border? Don't have time to go through the official channels? Find a hostage! And make them help you.

In this meme, one person desperately needs help. And, in order to get it, they grab another character. Off the street, out of their car, from a restaurant.

PROMPTS: (optional)
1 - MEDICAL ATTENTION.. You're bleeding, in pain and desperate, and you need medical attention. Right now. What will you do? Break into a private practice after hours? Find a darkened house or apartment with a convenient bathroom?
2 - SHELTER. The cops are after you. The temperature is dropping below -20. You're out in the middle of nowhere and you're starving. You don't have any options left - except for this.
3 - TRANSPORTATION. You need to get out of town. Fast. Can't buy a car, can't rent a car, can't take a bus - how do you leave?
4 - PROFESSIONAL SKILLS. You need a doctor. A lawyer. A pilot. A spy. And you know just the one. And you're going to get their help whether they want it or not.
5 - A HOSTAGE. You need a body to threaten. Maybe it's the President's daughter; maybe it's just someone off the street. Either way, it's leverage you're after. Maybe you'll turn them loose once you get to the border.
6 - FINISH THE CRIME. Get the manager who can open the bank vault. Or whatever else you need to commit your act of murder, sabotage and/or thievery.
7 - IT WAS AN ACCIDENT???? Fuck.
8 - CHOOSE YOUR OWN.
