The "Reverse" Yandere (AU) Meme

Yandere (ヤンデレ) is a portmanteau of two Japanese words yanderu (病んでる), meaning to be sick, and deredere (デレデレ), which is defined as strongly and deeply exhausted, infatuated, moonstruck, head-over-heels, or lovestruck, but in this case used for "lovestruck." A yandere's devotion becomes destructive in nature, often through violence and/or brutality.

There are often misconceptions that being "yandere" is exclusive to being female. True, many of the well-known characters are female, but there are a good deal of guys out there with orientations that run the gamut who'd like to get the one they love...by any means necessary. And if they can't have them?

You're better off not knowing.

Now this meme goes out to all the male yanderes out there, either in canon or meme-swayed. Yes, you read that right: this meme includes the option of AUing your character into being a bit more dedicated than they usually would be. Twist canon for your own nefarious purposes! Exaggerate flaws they may already have. Congratulations, you now have your own yandere Batman, Dean Winchester, or swimming animu.
